Just wanted to say thank you for the service today. I forgot the name of the gentleman who worked with me directly, but I was in earlier today with a 2012 F150 around noon. The level of customer service that County Transmissions provides, compared to the dealership I'm currently dealing with (the criminals at Ourisman Ford) is astounding. I'm nothing short of impressed.

Great business! Hampton and his knowledgeable team were able to help me solve transmission issues with my 05 GTO. They were able to build my transmission to handle my LS swap with upgrades! Can't say enough good things about County Transmissions. They also informed me about small issues that I may need to address that were not part of the scope of work performed by them. Amazing shop! I've had pretty bad experiences lately when it comes to car dealers/shops, particularly transmission, so I was hesitant to go anywhere. I saw the reviews for County Transmissions, like the fair pricing and being able to trust them at their word, after searching shops online for about 3 hours and decided to come here- best decision I've made.
They got my junker that could barely make it up a hill due to long-overdue transfer case issues back up to great driving shape, and did so with fantastic timing, pricing, and just general friendliness. I had a few snafus on my end, like miscommunication and needing after hours pickup, and they handled it like pros. It's really tough to move to a new area and pick out car shops, especially if you grew up in a place where everyone knew everyone, and I intend to patron County Transmissions and recommend it to all. Trust is key, and they've got it.

Love this place. They were very communicative about what our car needed. Very quick service and honest about what work needed to be done and what to look for due to the age of our vehicle. Friendly staff and very attentive to our needs. Hopefully we will not need work down soon but if we do we know where we will continue to go and where we will refer others to go to. Thank you for being such a great place to go to and for being honest about our car's needs.

I took two cars there too have the transmissions swapped between them. Hampton informed me just how busy they are and that they'd likely need 3-4 weeks to start the job. Yes, that's a long wait, but I appreciated the heads up and agreed to wait. A few weeks later he let me bring them over. They took superb notes on the job I requested (which fluids to save/reuse, which parts in which car, etc. ect.).
They kept me informed over the 2-3 days the job took, asked questions when they saw anything unexpected (not much), and let me know when I could go get it. The job was done very well, exactly as I asked, and the total was incredibly close to their estimate. I could only have been happier if they weren't as busy, but clearly they're the best for the job! I'll definitely be going back when I need any other transmission work.

Believe the positive reviews! County Transmissions are HONEST professionals that are completely customer focused. It is rare these days to find a shop that recommends only what is really needed and does not gouge you in the process. These guys are best. They exceeded all expectations and have my highest recommendation. You will be thankful you went to them.

In D.C. after cross country trip from west coast in my rv. I scheduled an appointment with County as the overdrive/off light had been flashing, indicating something might be amiss with the transmission. They ran a diagnostic and test drove the vehicle. Also topped off the transmission fluid. Free of charge. Hampton expressed his thoughts as to the condition of my vehicle and recommend that nothing needed to be done at present and that I could head back west, which took a weight off my shoulders. I feel the folks at County are professional, honest and forthright and would not hesitate to bring my car or rv there If I ever needed transmission work in the D.C. area.

Hampton and County Transmissions are amazing! My Jeep needed a new transmission last year, and the mechanic I usually use quoted me at over $1,000 more than what County Transmissions was able to do for me. Plus, my mechanic was only going to install a used transmission, whereas County Transmission rebuilt me a new transmission that came with a warranty - which gives me a huge peace of mind.
I drive an hour to get here, but it is most definitely worth it! I HIGHLY recommend them! Not only did a save a lot of money, but they are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.

One of the most professional and honest service firms I have dealt with in 50 years. They rebuilt my 2014 Ford Escape transmission in November 2020. Over the winter it developed a coolant leak which possibly could have been caused by the transmission repair, and it was subsequently repaired in April 2021 by another shop. I then took the vehicle back to County, and even though it wasn't certain that County was at fault, Hampton (owner) reimbursed me the entire repair bill from the other shop without question. Outstanding service all around!

Chick-fil-A of Transmission shops! Best costumer service and great work! They ensured I got done what I was looking for, and built a great transmission. I will use them as long as I'm around this area and will recommend them to everyone. I brought in a old transmission to get rebuilt and they had it done in no time. I installed it myself and they ensured I had what I needed to get the job done and assisted with any issues I had. After installation they did a road test and inspected the installation. The quality of service here is unbeatable! Thank you county transmissions!
