Services
It all started back in 1956, when Richard H. Feest (aka Pinkey) first bought the building at 3859 N. Richards St, the former Lincoln Mercury Capital Sales. He originally named his new shop Capital Auto Body and after a year he personalized the business to incorporate his nickname and renamed the shop Pinkey's Capital Auto Body.

Had my car towed here to have work done. They had told me they would take a week or so to get to look at. They lost my number and didn't call me so I called about a week later and they quoted me an insane number for the work. Then they told me there was an admin charge of $66 which they never told me about, and that if I didn't pick it up by the next day they would charge $50 a day. I managed to get a tow truck to get it the next morning and they still wouldn't release it without me paying the $50 storage charge. Also their hold music is brutal.

I dropped in for a quote after a very frustrating runaround at another shop. When I arrived, I was greeted by a sign saying to honk the horn for entry and a quote, so I did. The door opened to receive me, and I pulled into a very clean and brightly inviting place. I was promptly attended to by a man with a firm handshake, who listened carefully to what I needed, and responded in a way that made me feel like he was actually listening to my words. Women, especially young women like myself, simply cannot rely on this hardly anywhere, much less in the auto industry, so it was surprising and refreshing.
He invited me to wait in the waiting room as he drew up the quote, and I enjoyed a cup of coffee from the machine provided as I waited less than 10 minutes. There was also free soda and funny little placards with sardonic sayings scattered about the waiting room. The older gentleman waiting in there with me got up when they called him, and I overheard him thank them for the excellent job they always do.
I went when it was my turn, and though the quote was a bit higher than the last place I visited, I will be taking my money to Pinkey's when my budget allows, and will be happy to pay a little more if the workmanship and customer service is anything like experience I had in getting the quote. I suspect that it is. Great job to them, and thanks for such a different, positive experience.

I highly recommend Pinkey's if you need any body work done on your car! Their customer service is outstanding and they let you know what is going on every step of the way. They dealt with the insurance and made sure all my repairs got approved and the work performed is perfection! 15/10 recommend! Service: Body & Trim

Pinky's is hands down the best body and repair shop in Wisconsin. A lot of other places are less knowledgeable or try to cut corners, but Pinky's takes a lot of personal pride in the work that they do because they are 3rd generation owned and operated. I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else. Services: Body & Trim, Welding, Oil change, Brakes, Painting

I took my car here because it had been previously recommended to me by my insurance carrier for a separate incident and was close by. My car was operating fine mechanically but had significant body damage and because of the particular areas that were damaged it was not safe to drive for any extended distance. The invoice total added up to an exorbitant sum but I resigned myself to accepting the cost because I was in a tough situation that necessitated it.
Because of their good reputation I trusted that they were only billing me for parts that actually needed to be replaced despite the extent of the damages not being immediately identifiable and my limited knowledge of bodywork and repairs. When I got my car back the job was well done so I felt fine with the outcome in spite of the damage done to my wallet.
A few months later my car unfortunately got hit by a neighbor so I had to take it to get work done again. This time around I was much more calculating with the costs because a) I wanted to remain on good terms with the neighbor responsible for covering them and b) I could go to a number of different shops to compare quotes since the damage was relatively minor.
I anticipated the total to be much lower than the previous incident because this time there was a lot less damage. I ended up going to 4 different shops to compare estimates. I was shocked when I got the estimate from Pinkey's. The total was not just crazy high for the relatively small job, it was a full FIVE times higher than the total I got from 2 other shops.
Not only that, but they had tacked on charges for at least a dozen extra parts/items that weren't on any of the other estimates I got- some of the things they listed were for completely unrelated areas of my car that weren't even damaged! I felt sick to my stomach seeing all of those extraneous unnecessary charges and realizing that it was basically unquestionable that they had done the same thing with the previous job they did on my car.
It seemed readily apparent that they had preyed on my naivete and the fact that I couldn't easily get to other shops to compare quotes because of how damaged my car was in the previous incident. Who knows how many thousands of dollars I would have saved had i been able to take my car to a different shop. Needless to say this time around I went with one of the other shops whose estimate was 20% of the estimate Pinkey's provided and also highly reviewed.
And they did a perfectly fine job with my car. Pinkey's may have been able to do a marginally better job then the shop I went with, but was it worth paying 5 times the price for a minimally perceptible better job? No! Clearly I will not be returning to Pinkey's again and I'll be warning people who need work done not to go here. I would only recommend going here if you're getting insurance to cover everything, do not go here if you need to pay for anything out of pocket. There are other well-reviewed places that will charge you honestly and do a good job on your car for a small fraction of the cost of Pinkey's.

Pinkey's was great to work with, from start to finish. They were honest and did a great job with my vehicle. Felt like I could trust them with the whole process. Absolutely LOVE that they use this service to email you updates on the progress of the repair. Multiple people recommended them to me for body repair work, and now I've joined the masses with my ringing endorsement!

2009 Honda Odyssey with a sliding door that would often stick when I pulled the handle. Mentioned it @ the dealer when it was new a BUNCH of times (like each time it was in for oil changes). They said they couldn't duplicate the problem. Sure. Fast forward to a month ago and I was trying to open the door and the outside handle broke-off in my hands. Took the car to Shorewood Auto (also very good guys), they said, "take it to Pinky's." Took it to Pinky's, they gave me a very reasonable quote, ordered the part, and had me bring the car back for the install.
Very convenient, very honest price. AND HERE IS THE THING: The door no longer sticks. Apparently Pinky's is able to install the door handle such that the door always works, a feat the manufacturer nor the dealer were able to achieve. So yeah, I'm happy. Thrilled. Thank you, gentlemen.

Had my car broken into and the steering column ripped out in an attempted theft. I am so glad I had my car brought to Pinkey's for repairs. Ricky was kind and patient throughout the whole process, even when there was an indeterminate wait on some back-ordered parts. I was kept updated throughout the entire process by him. Once the parts were in, they immediately got to work on the car and I was able to get it back that afternoon.
Despite a bummer situation, they gave me peace of mind and quality service. I got my car back in great condition. Repairs were done well and it was sparkling clean (cleaner than I left it!) when I got it back. This is a great shop and I would highly recommend going here for any car service.

My wife and I have both used Pinky's services. My wife needed a dent pulled out of her Chevy Impala bumper. I need an insurance repair on my Lincoln MKZ. Both were done EXCELLENTLY! You couldn't even tell that both cars had some damage to them. If we need any more body work done, we are coming here no questions asked. Thank you Pinky's!

I loved my experience visiting Pinkey's to repair my broken side mirror. From the moment I first called asking about an appointment I was met with consistently kind and helpful staff. As a woman with her first car I was concerned about being ripped off or told inaccurate info but Pinkey's is a no nonsense kind of business that clearly wants to help their customers. Very clean, covid safe and efficient. They even washed my car after fixing my mirror! I have nothing but positive things to say about this business.

I have driven by Pinkey's and know many like the shop - I called a friend today because I have a 2008 volvo XC wagon and it got messed up when my mechanic in Bayside, WI (OM) changed the serpentine belt - because the car had 155,000 miles (my friend agreed good call). We drive and recently drove from Bayside, WI to LDI, Maine - 1400 miles. My friend Marcus and his son Reid said USE PCAB - Rick "Pinkey" Feest and his crew are honest, and do good work - always. Rick - I look forward to meeting you soon - we have more work to be done and my husband met with a mechanic here in Maine today - who explained fully - we need the lower section of an air box for the car - also need a new battery box - previous mechanic in Bayside broke the box - on purpose. Upsetting - I do know he was under a time frame that he had underestimated. Keep doing what you are doing at Pinkey's in Milwaukee/53212. P.S. I understand you do have loaners for the day to drive so one can get to work! Mary W.

They were so helpful and easy to work with. We took my son's beater car in after an accident assuming it was totaled given its age and condition, but Pinkey's got the car back on the road in good condition for a really reasonable price and saved us a ton of legwork and money. I hope to I never have to go back, but if I do need bodywork done in the future, I will definitely choose Pinkey's.

I don't normally Yelp auto body shops but the service my mother and I had today was exceptional. Ricky was very kind and went above and beyond for us. My mothers truck was broken into last night. We contacted Pinkey's this morning and they came and towed the truck and repaired everything in a matter of hours. They even got it all done in less time they quoted!

My wife took our vehicle in for a second opinion/quote on a subframe issue, and Pinky's stated that it wasn't even worth looking at because a repair would cost more than the car was worth. Fair enough. The real problem was that the mechanic followed that up with, "just bat your eyelashes at daddy and have him buy you a new car." My wife's father had passed away just about a year prior, of which she took the opportunity to inform this "gentleman." He replied, "well, then bat them at mom instead." Real class act. Couldn't tell you anything about their prices or work, and it doesn't matter for me at this point. Would never go back.

This place does a professional job every time. Drive up, they inspect the damages, they assess in five minutes, give you an estimate that DOES NOT CHANGE once the work is completed, and you get your car back like nothing ever happened. I got in three fender benders over the past year and took my car to Pinkey's all three times. One star deduction because the inside of my car wreaked of paint fumes when I got my car back and still does to a certain extent. I hope it goes away completely. Otherwise, good show Pinkey's.

My car was recently wrecked and it's the first accident I've ever been involved in--needless to say, I was scared and clueless. Pinkey's has made this ordeal painless (after the fact) and easy. I haven't had to lift a finger, except to drop off my car and sign my name. I've heard legends of repair and auto body shops ripping people off, but they've treated me like a princess with a broken car. I highly recommend them.
