I've been a customer for five and a half years. These guys are nothing short of phenomenal. They keep your vehicle running great year after year. I know. Our vehicle is over twenty years old, and despite its age runs great, a credit to SB Automotive.

Always on top of the job, reasonably priced and brings peace of mind. They know cars!

I was with SB Automotive for a long time. I've taken many different cars to them too. One of my first experiences was because my car had a light on saying that I had an emmissions leak. They replaced the gas cap, but the light came back on. I took it to them various times for the same problem until they told me they didn't think they could fix it.

I took it to the dealer, and the dealer found that a mechanic that replaced the gas pump did not install a gasket; that is why it had an emissions leak. SB Automotive was very professional through the whole experience though. Later, I needed to replace the cover on my transmission. The job cost me a lot of money at SB Automotive. They even ended up charging more than they had originally quoted me.

I am a rideshare driver, so I depend on my car to make a living. It was very windy a few days after I replaced my transmission cover, and a piece of plywood came on the freeway and struck my sidemirror. I needed to replace it right away. I had not been working because my transmission needed to be fixed. I called SB Automotive, but they gave me the runaround.

I was a loyal customer, and I had just spent almost $1000 dollars with them. They told me they would get back to me with a quote, but they never did. They wouldn't even answer the phone.

I want to say THANK you to Sean. Brought my Panamera to see what the issue was regarding the check engine light and he was very honest and efficient from the very beginning. He worked on my vehicle promptly and fixed the issue. At the same time I brought my Jeep to get an oil change and asked about my brake lights being out and he replaced all the light bulbs through my entire vehicle. I definitely recommend SB automotive for any of your vehicle needs.

I first came here in 2013. Rather than sing a song, I wanted to express my gratitude for finding an auto repair and maintenance shop I can trust. Other info: --There are some spots to eat nearby including, Tacos, Pete's Patio, Bob's Big Boy, McDonalds, Norms, I-Hop, Portos, Thai Mexican Food and more --There is a Rite-Aid, Stater Bros and Albertsons nearby --The have sofas, fans, televisions, hand sanitizer last time I went.

They let me use the bathroom once too. --Parking, well, of course they have parking, you park your car and they service it. --Before the pandemic they were open weekends, but they are helpful and honest in getting you an appointment time during the week. All the people working here, who I have dealt with, Brian, Sean, and the rest were super cool and professional.

Excellent customer service family owed very honest people I have been taking my vehicles to SB AUTO for about 20 years I love them you won't find better mechanic and say good bye to the dealership.

Super nice and friendly staff. They do know what they are doing and work well with their clients. Best part of it all is that they give you a car loaner while they keep your car to get repair. Thank you guys! You are awesme!

Today my heros took care of our '91 Honda so the Check Engine light would stop playing tag with the dashboard. They have the car's service history in their computer so recommendations can keep the car running and our family safe. Best service in SoCal.

Sean is super honest and and always gives his customers the best deals. I've been a customer for years now and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great and honest mechanic.

Brian has been servicing our cars for some time now and he always gives a great service. had my girlfriend's car get quoted for a new coolant pump at the dealer for about double the price turns out she didn't need everything. Brian and his team figured out the problem and fixed what was needed. that gives you confidence they aren't ripping you off!

Amazing and honest business. I came in for consultation and bit of work on my car. Everything was done smoothly, no hidden charges, any additional work was discussed without pinning me on corner, like other places 'if u dont get this done for extra 300, you are will not be ready this afternoon'. I recommend 1000%.

My check engine light had come on Monday, on my 2017 VW Jetta. Called SB Tuesday morning dropped my car off at 11:30 am and it was ready that afternoon and runs a lot better. I will no longer be taking my car to the dealer as the issue that was happening could have been avoided when I got my car serviced last time.

My car overheated on the 5 freeway and after being able to successfully pull over, I had it towed to SB Automotive. They were so nice and started the work immediately. After a few hours, my car was ready! I met with Sean, who couldn't have been nicer! They even gave my car a car wash. I will recommend this place to anyone in the area. Top notch service and a good price!

This place rocks! First of all, communication was key. I requested a quote on Yelp and Brian got back to me immediately. He helped me right away and set an appointment for their next available date. Customer service was great the day of and I even received my Jeep before the time estimated. I'm definitely going to come here from now on Thanks Brian!

The people at SB Automotive are top notch. They are up front and honest about everything. We have taken a few cars here over the years and travel over an hour to do so still because we know we can trust them. Excellent work, done on time, and very reasonable prices. Can't beat this combination of value anywhere else. We will keep coming back!

Been taking cars to Sean and Brian for years. At one point we had 4 Hondas that only went to SB Automotive. Good work for fair prices. I always get the option for real Honda parts or aftermarket parts (if available). Love that they text me about the status of the repair. Highly recommend this shop.

Excellent service and honest workers. I have had Sean and Brian service my cars (Civic, Corolla) for 10 yrs - installing a new transmission filter, alternator, starter, engine mounts, drive belts, battery, brakes, and lower control arm. I keep coming back because they take their time to make sure that the job is done right. Due to them being a small shop an appointment is greatly recommended. In short no cuts. If you want honesty and reliable people working on your car, go to these guys.

Best service, Brian is amazing and honest! I would highly recommend this place 100%. It very difficult to find an honest mechanic and luckily here is one, you won't regret it! They even washed his car out of courtesy, checked everything I asked him to check and kept me informed the entire time. Very reasonable and worth it. Thank you Brian, your awesome!

I've been bringing my car to SB for a few years now. I usually deal with Brian who is super nice but so is his brother Sean, and their dad. I always receive friendly service. They give reasonable pricing and are realistic about when work needs to be done to extend the life of your car. Highly recommend.

Ever since moving to Downey it's been hard to find a trust worthy auto shop until now. I brought my car in cause it was making an unusual noise, thinking it was the brakes. But after having Ada and her people look at my car turns out to be my engine, and they were up front with me.they pretty much told me that they could TRY to repair my car but it may not fix the problem in fact it might make things worse and they didn't want to take my money.

Like how often do you hear that now and days from a shop owner/mechanic? I was thrown back by their honestly. And after getting a second opinion that agreed with SB Automotive diagnosis, so needless to say considering the miles and age of my old trusty Honda it was not worth putting money into her and I had to let her go. But I tell you, I have a new auto repair shop. I will not go anywhere else in the future.

Ford Focus steering wheel hard to turn. Read reviews on Yelp of SB. Took Focus here. Staff said it was power steering unit. Okd to fix/repair. $295. Two weeks later steering wheel is hard to turn. Take it back staff said it was the power steering fluid line. Ok d to repair. Approx $200 +.Two months later. Steering wheel hard to turn. Let the car sit only moving occasionally. Won't ever take any car here to SB ever again. Had my friend fix it who is a mechanic. Cost me $100 labor that's all. Car has worked ever since. Runs like brand new per my friends work!

Was looking around for someone to take a look at my mom's car - and saw this place on Yelp with 4.5+ stars so I thought I'd give it a try! To my surprise I was greeted and taken in right away! The cost for the repairs was fair and even lower than most of the other places I had visited and called! The best part was that the turn around time was incredible! Who wants to go even a day without a car? Thank you! I think I've found my shop! No more shopping for me! 5STARS!

Excellent service! I was shopping around because I had a lug nut with the threading completely stripped and almost paid allens tires $240 to have it fixed. Luckily i found these guys and they did it for $75. I just came in in the morning and left my car with a really nice older man before I went to work. They texted me to update me on the progress of my car as they were working on it and were very informative. I will definitely be coming back for all future repairs.

They accidentally popped my tire while testing my car to see if the problem was fixed, I got a free replacement as well as alignment and a loaner car. They really know how to treat their customers well. In their defense my problem could only be replicated on VERY bad roads.

I've been back here now 3 times and I always receive great customer service. I get my oil changed here and man they are quick! Waiting area is nice, clean and comfortable. I WANT YOUR TABLE GUYS! Highly recommend!

Came in for a smog on my car, Sean wrong me up and Carlos was the tech. When I first came in they helped me out right away with very welcoming vibes. Had some basic questions about my car and Carlos took the time to explain everything. Price was competitive to other nearby shops. Highly recommended and will be coming back again.

I have been remiss in not submitting this earlier. I have a 2005 BMW 325ci which I consider a classic and plan on keeping forever. Unfortunately, taking a BMW to the dealer is very expensive after the initial warranty period and I wanted to find a reputable repair service. I found SB Automotive on Consumer Reports and reviewed their ratings on Yelp and Google.

All 5 stars! Having been to SB a number of times (A BMW is made to fail at regular intervals), I can assure you that not only are they reliable and less expensive than any dealer, they are ethical, responsible and polite. Best Auto Repair Shop ever - Thanks Brian and Sean.

I needed a simple oil change for my car, and that's exactly what I got. I called a day ahead to make an appointment, when I brought it in Brian greeted me and pretty much knew what I was there for. No hassle! The best part about my visit, They didn't try to sell me anything else unlike other places (Transmission fluid, engine flush, tire rotation, blah blah) Overall I'll definitely come back for a diagnostic test, check engine light is on
