The Brake Shop and Auto Repair has been in business since 1991 and located in Forks Township (4.0 miles north of the City of Easton). The Brake shop & Auto Repair has been owned by Brad & Suellen Fleming since 1991 starting in a 4-bay shop in Palmer Township, PA. Due to the business growing, in 1996, the location moved to South 3rd Street and Larry Holmes Drive to a 7-bay repair facility. After being a victim to three of the Easton floods within 21 months between 2004-2006, it was decided to move to higher grounds.

I took my son's car to this shop to get some work done on the rear suspension after hitting a curb on the right rear of his car. I had put on new Yokahama tires a week before the accident. They replaced a control arm and performed an alignment on the back, and charged $1700. My son had pointed out to me some abnormal wear on the rear tires a few weeks later.

Two weeks after that, during a rainstorm, my son called me afraid to drive because he could not control the vehicle's back end in the rain. We had to leave the car on the side of the highway. I was able to drive the car to the Brake Shop once the roads were dry. The rear tires were completely bald after only being driven 3000 miles. After looking at the vehicle, Jason at the Brake Shop told me that the rear was still aligned and that it must be that "Your kid is doing burnouts." I told him that was not likely because I have a GPS tracker/monitor that tracks fast starts, hard braking, etc.

I told him that I would take the car back to Jack Williams, where I purchased the tires, and see what they could determine regarding the abnormal wear. Jack Williams's diagnosis was that the rear was "SEVERELY" out of alignment. I was shocked that much tread could come off a tire in less than 3,000 Miles to become completely bald. He explained that because of the misalignment performed at The Brake Shop, the tires were scrapping the road like an eraser, and they could wear very fast, especially since they were "SEVERELY" out of alignment.

I then called Jason at The Brake Shop and told him the situation. I asked him what he would do about it, and he said he could put it up on his "rack" again. Why would I need him to do that since JW tires already did that? He proceeded to insinuate that JW could falsify or "Make up those reading." JW Tire has no reason to make false claims when the tires had no wear warranty.

I was going to need to buy another set anyway. The problematic issue is that The Brake Shop, where I have spent $3,937.14 since 2017, was unwilling to admit fault or take responsibility for their work. So instead of making it right for the customer, Jason decided to deny the evidence and lose a customer.

I do most of the work on my vehicles myself. After moving into town I needed a place to get an inspection. This shop tried to sell me on a lot of unnecessary services. I will never go back. They tried to tell me every fluid, including transmission fluid, needed to be changed. I had just changed the differential fluid and there was still some oil on the diff cover.

They insisted it was leaking and that it needed to be fixed. There was chip on the outer rim of one of my rear rotors. I was about the size of half a dime and it was not even in the pad area. They insisted that the rotors needed to be replaced. Once I told them I do my own work and that I know what I am doing they backed off on everything and then said it was all ok.

Absolute rip off! We had a coupon for a free inspection so everything else we had done was extremely overcharged making up for the free inspection. $60 for an oil change is absolutely absurd. The dealer charges less! Then they didn't even have the inspection stickers. I have to go back for those! For what they charge they should deliver the stickers to me! Also got a tire that was extremely overpriced we will never go back to them again.

These people are truly the best. They not only fixed my car., but they also gave me a ride home. It was all so much less expensive than what I figured it would be. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I have been taking all of our vehicles here for over 25 years, and have never been anything less than completely satisfied with the work, the professionalism, the prices, and the amazing customer service from everyone - Brad, Mike, Jason, and every one of the guys who have worked on our vehicles. Our children are now the second generation who are enjoying this stellar care. We continue to recommend The Brake Shop without hesitation.

So happy with my repairs and bill. I was very apprehensive of taking in my older vehicle with ABS Brake problems and figured I would have to spend a fortune. I had taken this to 2 other garages who said it was beyond their capability. Not only did the problem get solved quickly, but it was very affordable. I was not charged for anything I did not need and they were honest and up front. This is the place for brakes.
