Needed a reputable shop in the area for replacing a head gasket. They took extra care and made sure everything was looking good and replaced some parts that could fail later while they had the head off. Great warranty and work.

This mechanic is honest and professional. I appreciate their responsive and technical acumen. I will definitely return here for future issues with my vehicles.

Real simple, made a appointment a week in advance, took the day off of work showed up early just to be told. you need to get a back up plan, . Which means takeing another day off. 600 dollars out of my pocket for days off that couldnt afford. Hourseman Automotive is a bitt Pricey but in the past very Reliable and professional So was willing to pay the higher cost but thier service has drop Substantially over the years so unless your willing to take a 3 days to a week off of work I suggest finding a more reliable professional place to have your vehicle repaired

I found this place triple a. Automotive repairs make me nervous. I have been to many other places and feel like they never fix the problem and charge you an arm and a leg. My car had the check engine light on and I was stressed on where to go. I went here by chance and they were wonderful. They checked my car and said that there was nothing wrong.

That it was my gas cap that was loose and causing air to get in my tank and trigger the check engine light. The guy was so kind he didn't even charge me the diagnostics fee. I thought wow! Sure enough I ordered a new gas cap and my car ran perfect. No check engine light. They got a customer for life! I no longer have that car and have been back a few times with my husbands car.

More recently I went with my newer car for a break issue. Turns out my breaks were just dirty. They cleaned them and I was happy to pay the service fee. I didn't even ask for the triple aaa discount. I thought the price was fair. They even squeezed me in, as I didn't have an appointment. If you are looking for honest, good quality automotive repairs go here.

They will make you feel at ease and not try and put you on the hook for repairs you do not need. They do book up pretty quickly so try and make an appointment. They are only open Monday- Friday. Don't forget they offer triple AAA discounts.

My experience here was very good. I would go back here again because I feel like honesty and fairness were both a characteristic associated with this business. If you want something done the RIGHT way, this is the place to go.

Do not go here unless absolutely needed. While I was out of town my wife's car had battery issues. Like most, she is busy with work and kids. She got her suburban towed there and they charged her $326 for a battery replacement. Unless they are completely incompetent it should have taken 10 minutes so I'm guessing they are taking advantage of people when they can. $28 to inspect battery and $100 in labor. Stay away from this shop.

I have been using Horsman 40 years. I recommend them everytime someone asks me if I know a trustworthy automotive shop. Their work is top of the line. They are honest and stand behind there work. I never would consider taking any of my vehicles anywhere else.

We love taking our cars to Billy and Pete. They are kind, and trustworthy. Recently, we were back in SD for vacation and had some car trouble. They fit us in to make sure we were able to get home. I wish I could take them with us to AZ!

Just bought a car from a person that took the car there to get a mass airflow sensor they charge them $400 and it was a 24000 mile warranty but since I bought the car they said they couldn't help me even though there was only 400 miles put on the car since the repair. Isn't that crazy that I have to pay for the same repair somewhere else because they didn't do their job right?

And now they're saying the warranty is no good even though I have it in writing? Don't go there because they're just going to say they can't help you even though the part was on warranty for another 23600 MI. Beware! Any other shop with just cover the part because of honesty. So I guess I'm going to take my car to Integrity Auto I've never had any problems there and redo the job that horsman Automotive couldn't do right

Horsman Automotive is one of two places I've probably been going to exclusively for years (the other being my dentist office). Pete and BIlly are always helpful and informative whenever I drop off my car for service. I've never had an issue here and have visited for maintenance, emergency repairs, and other situations. I'm satisfied with the cost of everything I've had to pay, and they're very accommodating for scheduling. I don't intend to go to any other mechanic anytime soon.

Brought the fiancee's Toyota in for a smog. Fiancee has lupus and they were very helpful in making sure we had the closest thing to "contact free" emissions due to their caring for the customer. There is no way to complete the emissions without contact but they made sure every precaution was taken as well as leaving truck in secure area for couple days after work was completed and they also handed us a wiped down key and paper work outside after paying by phone. Thanks for the help! Much appreciated.

Recently, my friends recommended Horsman Automotive to me for a Smog test. Horseman's is neatly tucked away behind the Chevron Station at the corner of Magnolia and Mission Gorge Roads in Santee. I walked through the door, and was greeted by Billy and Pete. Both of these gentlemen excused honesty and professionalism, and gave me a feeling of confidence, that I'd be taken care of fairly.

In a nutshell, Bill and Pete took great care of me, and can count on my business from now on. If you don't want to worry about getting jerked around when dealing with automotive issues, go to Horsman Automotive. I have not hear anything negative about them. Trust me, this is a no brainer

I am a travel nurse. I have brought my car to mechanics all over this country. This has been the best experience by far. Billy is polite, friendly and professional. I have had my car serviced 2x. As a woman, there are concerns about being taken advantage of by service men. I come from a family of mechanics so I have a little knowledge. These guys are amazing. The work was done efficiently and quickly. I cannot say thank you enough.

This is an exceptional automotive service. I used them for years while I lived in Santee, and even drove back after I moved to Ssntee. Excellent communication, they even changed my tires for no charge when I drove in last minute. Awesome company

I was recommended to this place by a co-worker who has been coming here for years, and I'm glad I went. The correct diagnosis was given on my husband's car and when it came to repair options, I wasn't hustled to spend money with them. They were honest and helpful. Plus, they were very patient with my two kids running around! Excellent customer service!

I took my motor home in due to a horrible shake in the front end by the motor. They put new plugs and coil packs on my ford v-10 took all the shake away and it runs as smooth as can be. They fixed it very fast and were up front honest and direct. Thank you I appreciate the job well done. I will be back

Billy and Pete are awesome. Wife's car went in there on tow truck and was back on the road in two hours. Shop and office where very clean. Very friendly and knowledgeable service. Great service. I will take my vehicles there anytime.

This place was good and really easy to deal with. They got me in and told me what needed to be fixed right away and was upfront about the costs. They had to order the part but it came in quickly. I only gave 4 stars because it all seemed expensive but in their defense I didn't call around and check other places to see if it was expensive, I just wanted to get it taken care of and they did that for me.

I give a 3 star, Only because the work I had done, was correct. However, upon showing up, I talked to the guy at the front desk, told him our problems, and he took the keys and they got started. About 2 hours after dropping the car off, I received a call that they needed to order a part from Chevy, and that it would be about $200 to install it. I was already desperate to get it fixed, because I was a 19 year old kid doing a favor for my Mom who needed her car fixed.

When I went to pick it up, I was hit with an $800+ dollar bill, and still don't quite understand why. If you're desperate, I would go here. But if you have time to wait to get your car fixed, find someone else. These guys charge an arm and a leg, and to me seems like they take advantage.

I have been taking the family vehicles to Horsman Automotive for nearly 15 yesrs. Pete and Billy are both personable, pleasant and, most importantly, honest. Unlike my experiences with the "dealer" shops, they genuinely have my best interest at heart. All work to date has been of the highest quality and charges have been fair and reasonable. Perhaps just as important, I have occasionally been sent on my way with no charge when the "major" problem was only a loose (fill in the blank) that required nothing more than a quick tweak with a wrench. Again, that never happens at a "dealer" shop. I will continue to use Horsman for all my vehicle service and repair needs.

So, I've waited to review them until I had a proper perspective. I've used Horseman at least five times now and have not had a single negative experience. Billy is usually up at the counter making nice with customers. I appreciate that he tells me what I need done on the car but doesn't try to convince me that it's immediate when it's not. He's very honest and willing to give you a professional opinion. They do a great job!

Had a coolant leak so I took it to Horsman because of their good reviews, but in my experience, their quality of work reflects the rating. The part that needed replacing was in between 2 hoses, one of which was leaking due to age/mileage. Common sense would be to replace both since you can assume the other will fail soon, but they just cut and spliced the old hose without calling me to tell me they were doing so.

I didn't appreciate the bandaid type fix so when I found out about it I called them about it and they guy that answered said he "remembered" doing the fix and it must have been because I told him to take that shortcut. Firstly, I discovered the problem a few months after they "fixed" it so for the guy to remember with such surety of how I told him to fix it was.questionable. Secondly, I've never told ANY mechanic to take a shortcut. I've always told them to do it right.

I have a long commute and can't risk getting stranded, just to save a couple bucks. And sure enough that same hose developed a leak and left me stuck on the freeway two days ago. People need to trust their mechanic or at least have them own up to making a mistake. Oh, and they get 2 stars because the facility was decent and they finished the "fix" on time.
