Really appreciate the honesty and thorough checkup on my car today. It just needed an oil change and they were transparent on prices and what it needed versus what it didn't need - as well as a being honest on what could wait to be fixed that I didn't have to do today. I'm always nervous to find a new mechanic whenever I move somewhere, but I am really happy I found this one! Thank you Allman Family Auto!

I've brought both my 4Runner and my husband's Tacoma to Allman, and the service was great! Their prices are very competitive, and they do not pressure you into extra, unnecessary services. We drive out of our way to come to Allman for any of our auto repair needs.

This has been such a fantastic mechanic for me and my family for the last couple of years. My dad works for snapon and originally recommended them to me when I needed some maintenance, they have always been able to get me in same day or next day for all types of services. They are extremely informative, their prices are competitive, they are quick to respond and quick to provide you with options.

They will inform you of price options ahead of time before doing any type of work and make sure to get your consent for services. They have a great digital platform, they text you with reminders, text you for payment options, and you can text with them to communicate. I will forever get my oil changes done here, when you come in for an oil change they will do a full inspection to make sure your car is running correctly, if something is wrong they will let you know and provide you with cost options before doing any work. I cannot recommend this place enough, if you need any type of auto services give them a call.

Mike was extremely helpful. Took my sons car in to get it checked out and for an oil change. They did a full inspection for a good price and only found that it needed a gas cap. Glad we found a place our son can go while attending school in SD.

I am extremely happy with Allman Family Auto. I had my engine light come on and my previous mechanic of 30 years had retired at the first of the year. I came to them on a recommendation from a friend and am more than pleased with the service they provided. Raphael was friendly, professional and took time to explain their procedures. Their estimate was reasonable and well explained. Luckily my problem was minor, but with the engine trouble code could have been much more costly and I never would have known.

I commend them on their honesty, work ethic and professionalism. As I stated above, I am more than happy with their service. I will be using Allman Family Auto for all my vehicle repairs in the future, as well as recommending them to all my family and friends. I've been looking to repair by brakes and rotors for a while and within a day of emailing them, I was able to book an appointment. Their service was amazing! They wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with the prices of the services and they called me within an hour of dropping off my car to make sure they could proceed with the appropriate services. All in all, it was a smooth service and super friendly staff!

I brought my Mazda CX-5 to Allman Family Auto today for basic maintenance and oil change. The owner, Mike, assisted me to check in. He was very informative, polite, and helpful. He texted abt 60 min later letting me know that my car was ready. Very satisfied!

Looked at buying a vehicle here and then hired them to mechanically check a different vehicle. Interacting with them was great in both instances! No hard sells, no bs. I will continue to use Allman's services.

I've been going to Mike for many years with 3 or 4 of our different cars and I have never been disappointed with the service he provides. It can be difficult finding a mechanic you trust that gives you a fair assessment of your car without trying to upsell you. Mike does excellent work and he always provides you options and will spend the time to talk through those options to make sure you as a customer fully understand why the repair is needed. I don't rate on Yelp often but Mike at Allman Family Auto is worth the 5 star yelp review for sure.

I'm a college student at SDSU, I relied on Allman to change my air filters for me since I live alone in San Diego and don't know how to do it myself. However they charged me $138 for a job they didn't even complete. A week after getting my filters changed, I took my car to my uncle up north since he's a mechanic. He did a courtesy check on my car and fixed a lot that had to be done.

He noticed my air filters were very dirty and asked if I wanted them changed. I then explained how I went to Allman for a change. my uncle was surprised when I said that because they looked super dirty and old. Now I'm left with -$138 in my account which could have paid for my books. Allman harassed me and claimed they were not going to give me a refund. MORAL OF STORY, Allman likes to take advantage of women and college students. Never go here.

Mike fixed the problem rapidly and even found a great way to save me hundreds on the original estimate. Car runs well - I'm already booking my next round of maintenance with them. Thanks again! Service: Electrical

Even though i moved to chula, i still managed to come here for my usual oil changes. Why? Mike and his team are great! They will always provide great service without trying to squeeze any extra money out of you. They are straight up and will hide nothing from you! They arent the cheapest in sd, but you are getting what you paid for. My go to shop!

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! My work van was running really rough and needed some love as it is at nearly 245000 miles. Mike quickly diagnosed the problem and offered me a few different options knowing that it was an old van that I don't want to put a lot of money into. He got me back on the road over a month ago and still going strong!

The first time I went here, and the only time so far, they've already made me feel like family. I felt like I could trust them and they really had my best interest at heart.

We took my wife's Jeep in to service the air conditioner that was blowing hot air and had low pressure. We had always felt the a/c was weak and not cold enough. I've known Mike and his family for several years and he's the same honest man when he's discussing an estimate. He explained the issue with great detail and listed every price of parts and service required to get the job done right the first time.

He gave us a time estimate of a few days but the shop finished the job ahead of schedule and didn't charge one cent for storing our vehicle in ICU. I'll admit that we got off to a rocky start with Mike at Allman's due to some other shops poor servicing our cars. Mike was always on target and accurate with his estimates are on price and job completion. It's so nice to once again have a car doctor we can trust.

We've been there a couple of times for different things. Oil change, new tires, and tire rotation. They were efficient and the service was good.

I cannot thanks Allman Family Auto for their fast, efficient, and affordable auto care. They are genuine and honest and give you your pricing up front. My car was done in record time (2 days) and allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed to feel comfortable with my repair. The drop box made it easy for me to drop off my car. 10/10 will come again for any auto repair needs.

Finally an honest, friendly, and professional mechanic! To keep a long story short, my Jeep Wrangler had a hole on the engine wall so I needed an engine replacement. After going to 3 different mechanics, not only did Allman Family give me some good rates for the engine and labor, but they did everything correctly. My Jeep now runs the best it's ever ran. Mike uses quality parts for every work he does and even takes time to explain to you (honestly) what your vehicle needs and doesn't need. Even the technicians are very good and friendly. I just abandoned my auto repair shop of 45 years. I live in a nice neighborhood and felt the rapidly increasing prices on repairs at my local shop were more based upon what the shop thought the well to do locals could pay as opposed to what their services were worth. After lots of research and two test trips to Allman Family Auto, I feel their work quality and competence are very good. Their integrity, business ethics and sincere desire to help its customers are second to none. Highly recommended.
