If you want to avoid any car problems take your car here! They give you a full diagnosis of the car and warns of future issues that might occur if not fixed. To some this might sounds like a money grab but in my last experience they were warning me that the repair would be covered by the manufacturer warranty (meaning they make no money on the repair) so I know they're honest! Taking your car here will ensure you can really run your car "in the ground." Love this place!

Took my 2008 wrangler and 1999 F150 there for work. I've always had excellent service, professional but friendly. Show you through photos of work that needs to be done thru there inspection process but absolutely no hard sell, only do what you ask. I highly recommend Tinley Auto Repair to anyone looking for a fair price and professionally done work. My Only regret is I didn't find them earlier, it would have saved me time headaches and wasted money!

They were very friendly and helpful. I took my car into the dealership for a recall and the dealership gave me a long and expensive list of items that they wanted to repair. I took my car to Tinley auto for a second opinion. I showed the list and they were honest about what actually needed to be done, what could wait, and what really didn't need to be done. They put the customer first not their pocket book.

Best mechanic/auto repair place I've been to. Honest and prove everything with pictures. Another corporate owned shop tried to quote me over $1000 for parts that didn't need replacing. Adam was a great tech and took the time to test drive my car with me to verify an issue. Excellent follow up and communication.

I normally do not write comments on car repair experience. But, my experience with this business is quite different from other dealers or auto shops. First of all, receptionists are quite happy to talk to the customers even though I was placed on hold for briefly. They seem to enjoy their jobs of listening and helping customers. My old car problem was, sunroof could not close.

I called my regular auto shop to see if it can be fixed. Unfortunately, the shop could not handle that kind of job. Since my car is an old car, I don't even bother to call dealership. I found this business by searching on internet. I just want to give it a try. This shop fixed the sunroof and did comprehensive inspection with very reasonable price.

There is no pressure at all on their part. They sent out comprehensive health of the car in the email and recommendations. It is very helpful for me to know comprehensive health of the car for safety with very decent price. I will definitely go back to this shop and recommend for friends and families.

I highly recommend Tinley Auto Repair! I have a 20 year old foreign car so finding a mechanic willing to do the work without over charging for parts and labor is near impossible. The staff and service here is wonderful. Kept informed by text and email of repairs being done and all checks run on the vehicle. I have been taking my cars here for years - with two college aged students it is peace of mind to know that their vehicles are safe to drive to their out of state schools. I had been taking my daughters vehicle to auto dealership where I was informed the vehicle needed $5k in repairs - this after already spending money at the same dealership. This shop saved me over $900 from an estimate from another shop, on work I did not need. I dealt with Tammy and Jim- and they are truly awesome people. No up-sells and honest evaluations. Over time I have used Tinley Auto for routine oil changes, brake replacements, and various misc repairs and maintenance items and they always come through for me. Had air conditioning replaced 4 years ago on a classic auto. It was repaired in what seems to be a "do it yourself" kind of way. My main issue is that I cannot speak to the person who did the repairs. The Freon ran out after a couple of months and since then I have sporadically tried to contact them by phone and in person. I stopped in today and the tech who did the work was 10 feet away from me and I actually waived to him but I could not speak to him despite me saying I had 2 simple questions - 2 other AC repair shops cannot find the port to recharge the system and he bypassed/deactivated the heater.

I have tried for almost 4 years to ask where the port is and how to re engage the heater. I have never had a call returned and I could not speak to him in person. I have never filled out an online review in my life but this ongoing nonsense is so frustrating I want others to be aware before selecting Tinley auto. The owner & staff seem friendly which makes this all the more frustrating.

Horrible people can't even return a phone call. Faulty trans. Repair, Have been trying to get my car repaired correctly for about a month and still isn't right. This place has been giving us the run around since. Dec. When we noticed the trans repair was bad. And now no one will return our calls.

I had taken my car to another shop for repair. I was given an 1,100.00 dollar estimate for this repair. I sought out a second opinion from Tinley Auto Repair and was pleasantly surprised. Drove here from Chicago after a poor experience in the city @ another auto shop. The people here were so friendly and accommodating, as well as thorough in the work they did on my car. I was quoted nearly $1000 at a shop in the city for new rotors but they were able to do the work for $300 here without replacing them. Highly recommend!

Had my first experience with Tinley Auto this past week, after a real bad one with J&S Auto in Orland Park. Owners Chris and Tammy, the owners, know what its like to be of service to customers. They sent me an email prior to repair telling me exactly what was wrong and how they would fix. Their form was best I have ever seen. Not going to go into what they fixed but will only say the repairs were done timely and with a very fair price. Absolutely do not rent a Uhaul from these people! They charged me twice for a mattress protector, charged me 30 extra miles, couldn't answer the question about the parking brake.answer was I think that's if you are hauling something, couldn't give me an answer on the yellow light on the dash. I drove up there to make sure it was ok and I wouldn't break down on the expressway and she assured me she THOUGHT it was the light for the tow hitch. Very reassuring. I am to blame.should of read the reviews. They speak VOLUMES.

I eventually got a reputable repair shop to fix the damage done to my car by Tinley Park Auto. I let Precise Auto Body, at 4946 175th St, Country Club Hills, IL60478, (708) 957-3333 do the work. Precise Auto Body did an excellent job and the best thing was.it was a non-event. In other words, none of the drama that Tinley Auto carried on with. Precise Auto was pleasent, had resonable prices.and most of all, PRECISE AUTO WAS HONEST AND DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO. Chris Shoemaker should have done the right thing and fixed my car that was damaged while in his care. That's what responsible owners live up to.

Why take a risk with Tinley Auto when I've already taken the hit that you don't have to. Oh, and if you're in their waiting room, don't have a conversation in front of the old guy that looks like Uncle Joe from Petticoat Junction, he's really nosey.
