After they completed the engine oil change, , I drove off and the low engine oil warning light came ON. I returned to the shop and they had to add a quart of oil. Did the mechanic read the amount of oil required or just plain added 1 quart less than required. BAD. Service: Oil change

Our Audi Q7 2017 had coolant leak. Paul did check and gave us a very reasonable quote and fixed the leak within a day. We are very happy with the service.

Brought in my BMW E46 that needed a lot of work - they did a great job explaining everything that was wrong, suggestions on what to prioritize budget-wise, and did a great job with the repairs. Awesome team here. Was recommended this shop by my Land Rover shop when I got a bunch of solenoid error codes. Was told these guys are the ZF transmission pros! Paul and his team are great! I took my car in to a well-reputed shop in SF and they did absolutely nothing (I think they were too busy to give my car a good look). In just a couple of days Paul and his team took care of multiple issues with my car and it is running like new. I didn't realize how bad of shape it was in until I got it back from him. I was going to sell the car but now I think I'll keep it. Paul also has a great sense of humor.

I thought they took my car in the same day and they told me the problem in the afternoon and said they could get the part on Monday and they called me Monday afternoon and said it was ready. They gave me a ride back and forth to the shop. And they were reasonably in their price.

Paul is a fantastic guy all around. He gave my car an extremely thorough look over before we took a long trip to Flagstaff. When he was not sure about a sound coming from the brakes, he consulted his friend who specializes in brakes. This guy goes the extra mile. Additionally, this guy cares about the community. He very willingly made several gallons of spectacular chili for the Roosevelt Elementary School Chili Cook Off. He spent his Saturday giving samples to kids and parent for hours. I am happy to give him my business!

I have been using Autohaus Schmid for 10 years I have referred them to all of my family and friends but never written a review. Paul the owner, is a really good guy and easy to work with. I have found them to be honest and fair, they do great work and have great customer service. I am writing this review today because of Alex. What a great guy! when I arrived to pick up my Porsche I watched and listened to him working with an elderly lady.

He was so kind, respectful and helpful I had to write the review. I have an elderly mother she is 93 and I am also in a service business so I pay close attention especially how elderly people are treated. I was impressed with Alex. There was no pretense, he was genuine. He probably had great parents but Paul hires good people. Well done Alex and thanks for another job well done.

Came in to get a nail removed from my tire. The staff was very friendly and were able to service my car immediately! Didn't get much work done here but if I ever need work done on my car in the future, It'll be the first place I go! Very professional, friendly, and great price.

Extremely arrogant owner. Fixes cars but behaves as a neuroscientist. You're forgetting that it's customers such as myself are the ones that keep you where you are and put food on your table. These same people will feel hurt and can easily stop from coming to you and change that arrogance real fast. Hopefully you'll learn from my post.

Every time I look for a car repair shop, I want competence, honesty and friendliness. I found Autohaus Schmid nearly 3 decades ago. It is everything I want and now I won't go anywhere else. If you want a huge fancy hi tech customer lounge, don't recognize when you're being BS'd and don't care about honesty, reliability and quality work, then by all means go to those huge fancy Mercedes Benz places like the one I wrote the other Yelp review on. I'll take Autohaus Schmid's over them anyday. Autohaus Schmid is that old fashioned kind of place.with the same old fashioned high ideals and standards.

I went in the morning and dropped off my vehicle for an oil and coolant change. Walked in the office to talk to Paul and we had a chat of what I wanted to do. Came back about 2 hours later and the vehicle was not done yet because of lunchtime. Paul and I walked over to my car to discuss the current tire tread and what they noticed under my car. We also talked about the b5 maintenance, and he went through what needs to be done on the car. Will bring my vehicle back to him to do the b5 work because he was honest about the job upfront.

One honest shop. We took our car there, because it looked like we needed transmission. He told us we don't need it. He could have us do very expensive repair, like other shops do. He lost us that day, but we will be back an other time.

I started taking my 1994 E320 coupe to Autohaus Schmid for seventeen years when it had 40,000 miles. It now has over 300,000 miles and I credit Paul and his crew with keeping a good eye on the vehicle and maintaining it. While they specialize in all European and German cars, their knowledge of Mercedes is outstanding. They are always so good at calling to explain any issues that are of immediate concern and those that can be put off since they are not a safety concern or will harm the vehicle.

Their prices are reasonable. A few years ago, I purchased a 1998 E320 wagon and have been bringing it to Autohaus Schmid and have also been so please with how they have taken care of this second car that I keep in California. To sum it up, they are honest, reasonably priced, and just plain nice people who care for your car. I highly recommend this shop for your Mercedes work. P.S. I also think it is nice that they send their regular customers a holiday card with a $25 credit towards the next service. Not a lot, but very thoughtful and nice.
