This is a super late review, but I I just love these guys SO much! About 20 years ago, my husband (then boyfriend) and I had taken a road trip and got stranded in Connecticut and had our car towed to their garage in Providence. Stayed a couple of extra days in town and remember it as such an amazing trip. We loved it and fell in love with RI forever. They repaired our car and had us back on the road in no time. Awesome people at Coletta's!

I recently had my windshield wiper motor replaced here. One month later it started malfunctioning again due to a manufacturing defect. Lou replaced it with a brand new working motor for free no questions asked. Besides the inconvenience of getting the car to the dealer, it was a stress free experience. I highly recommend Coletta's.

I would have to rate this business as 5 star. I am sure the bad reviews come from people who have had there cars towed because they were parked where they should not be. Don't blame the management, they do not authorize the tows. As far as service, they do excellent body work at fair and reasonable prices. I found the men who serviced my car to be respectful and very polite. If I can give this business more stars, I would!

Absolutely incredible work and service! I was so impressed with my vehicle. Not only did they exceed my every expectation my car was clean inside and out when I picked it up! Everyone was professional, friendly and concerned about my happiness. I will use Coletta's for all my towing and body needs. The workmanship is outstanding. You can trust them with your vehicle. Thank you Coletta's! You are the best.

This is a very scummy business. Last year, I parked in a parking lot of a local business and first walked to a separate store across the street. Returning to the parking lot 3min later, my car was being attached to a Coletta's tow truck. The man was very rude and told me I would have to pay him $85 on the spot to have my car detached, or my car would be towed to their facility where I would still have to pay a fee.
I payed him on the spot, had my car detached, and immediately walked into the local business to speak with the manager. The manager told me he had hired Coletta's Garage to tow anyone who parked in their parking lot who didn't walk immediately into their store. If someone parks on your property and is gone for an exorbitant amount of time, they may need to be removed.
But for two businesses to collude to immediately nip drivers for a quick buck is beyond what is necessary. The Coletta's driver was quick to act, waiting in the parking lot for anyone who did not walk directly into the adjacent store. It's a quick way to make money, but it is unethical and indecent.

Like an idiot I locked my keys in the car at night in Providence. The woman who answered the phone was so nice. She had someone dispatched and told me her driver would be there in about 30 minutes. She told me it would cost about $50, which was less than any other company quoted me that night. Her driver showed up in 15 minutes and it cost $45. He went right to work and there was no damage whatsoever on my car.
He was incredibly professional, courteous and understanding. I will definitely be using them for all my future car needs. As for all the people complaining about them on this website, for most people what you put out is what you get back. Don't park in an area that says: Tow Zone don't park here. Then when you make a mistake don't take it out on someone else

I have had only good experiences with this place. I chose it for convenience - they're located right near the hospital and let me drop the car off early and pick it up after work. They RIH employee discount didn't hurt either. But I have since found the employees at Coletta's to be helpful, courteous, efficient and honest. Sometimes the prices they charge are so fair it's hard to believe - I didn't know you could fix anything on a car for ten bucks. I've never used their towing services so can't comment, but as for the shop itself I have no complaints.

Bunch of crooks! Make sure you have someone sitting in your car at all times. Coletta's might come and try to tow your car from a parking spot in a bank parking lot, while you're inside withdrawing money from an ATM. Literally parked car, got out, got inside to ATM, probably a minute or two later, only to come out, have your car lifted up 1 foot, and they say it'll cost you $110 just to lower your car.
If you don't have the money by the time it gets to their parking lot it'll be close to $200. Nevermind overnight fee's. What a fun way to start your night out in Providence.

I came here for car inspection. My car is running great for about 7 years! The check engine light on. They checked my car and then told me there are several sensors needed to be replaced. I asked how much AT MOST included labor. their manager gave me a price $750. But it's end up with $920. And before they fixed anything, they didn't tell me at all the price is even higher.
Just two examples, on the invoice, the oxygen sensor is $155. but I looked up on eBay. the highest price I can found is $49. camshaft sensor on their invoice is $90, but eBay's highest price is around $20. If this is just the end, I would say my car get inspected and I pay a lot. I can drive it at least another 2 years. I accepted. BUT there is another problem charged me another $650. Ridiculous right?
This is not the end. Very next day after they fixed my car, the transmission was not working properly. And they refused to take the responsibility. Also I have no idea what they did to my car, I can't even know if they did replace what needed to be replaced. At very last, I went to another repair shop. checked my car for FREE, and I had to spent another $2000 at least to fixed transmission if I want to drive the car. Coletta's is a ridiculous place!
Never ever put your car there. You never know what they did to you car. You never know if they fix your car or make it even worse. All they want is getting money out of your pocket.

Awful! Customer service is non existent at this place. The nicest one and most helpful was the guy who towed my vehicle in. Then the work that was done wasn't done properly and caused further damage to the existing problem. I do not i repeat do not! Recommend this place for any service done to your vehicle(s). If you do not believe me. You will see for yourself. They are a bunch of crooks. Worst service I could have received!
