Trans went was failing on my 04 ram at 154K, shop was recommended to me, so went. What a great shop to work with, just went over 385K still dragging my work work trailer (tools/material 10K rated). Take my truck in every 12K miles for service, highly recommend the shop.

The owner Fred, his son Jeremy and their employees are forthright, honest and just nice people. Had the transmission replaced on my 2006 VW Beetle and it is running like brand new. I was referred here. Horrible experience from the door. As I was speaking to someone about my issue an older gentleman in a scooter rolled up and interrupted us speaking very unprofessional. I advised him that I was there as a referral. His attitude was very bitter as if he didn't want to provide me service. Unprofessional Business. Don't go here. They refused my business!

I've had transmission total rebuild 2 times on BMW. First cost over $3500 and needed another rebuild after 3 years. Second cost over $3000 and needs another rebuild after 1.5 years. Warranty for first was 3 years but trans lasted 37-38 months. Second warranty was for only 1 year (?) but lasted 16-17 months. Each time warning light flashed then, kaput, nothing. Based on these experiences, I will take my chances elsewhere.

I brought my truck in after being referred here by another shop. They told me I needed a transmission rebuild up to $2500 maybe even a new transmission for $3000. Owner was very rude said he wouldn't recommend that due to age of truck. It's only a 1998. They said not safe to drive it on interstate. I took it to another transmission shop they found no transmission issue just needed a new maf sensor.

I've been driving it for a week now fixed no shifting issue. Just got back from 2 hour interstate drive yesterday no problem. Very dissatisfied with them. Why would you say I have a transmission issue when I didn't? The truck did move in drive that is how i got it there. There is nothing at all wrong with the transmission as reported by a reputable shop if it was bad why has it not been acting up all week since they fixed it?

My transmission recently went out and I was referred to Car Life. I found the owner to be extremely helpful, he diagnosed the problem promptly and accurately and fixed it. There was more wrong than he initially thought, but he took care of that too. It was all very timely, fairly priced and well done. My car runs like it did when it was new. He also is having me to bring it back between 500 and 1,000 miles for him to put it up on a rack and inspect for leaks. No cost for this. I would not hesitate to use them in the future and highly recommend them for their integrity and competence.

Very honest no bs. Very clean professional shop. I felt more comfortable taking my car there than the dealership. The dealership did not address the transmission but moved the ignition coil from the back to the front $400 and said if I still have problems bring it back. A 15 minute test drive with a Car life tech and he said it is the transmission. Car is running like a new car now.

Everyone at Car Life is kind, honest and helpful! Last year our 2005 Toyota Sienna needed a new transmission. Car Life was where our mechanic sent us. They got us fixed up with a great transmission with a lifetime warranty. Not only did they get our car fixed up, they were always so kind and caring! This year we made it back for our check- up to keep our lifetime warranty and while we made the date, we had unfortunately gone over our mileage.

Most people would tell us that the warranty is done, but they kindly gave us grace! In today's world, it is rare to find such kindness. People tend to see things in black and white and too often lack understanding and rarely offer grace. Who needs Clark Kent? Fred Kent is our family's hero! We will make sure we never go over our mileage again and we will keep telling everyone about the awesome people and service at Carlife!

Very respectful i am not sure why they dont sell there old parts like a 64 mercury transmission. But over all nice guys. Hope to do business with them in the near future.

The experience at this business was excellent. They were straightforward and honest about the issue with my car. They didn't force any services on me. The customer service was excellent and they were extremely friendly. Fred was great to interact with and had I gone anywhere else I probably would have spent a thousand dollars. Fred, you're my hero!
