My experience with AutoTrends was very positive. What struck me the most was the staff's focus on safety. I have an older car and came in for suspension work. They called to say there was a transmission fluid leak - which I had forgotten to mention. This impressed me because I have been to shops before that only do what was requested and don't investigate further.
Also after I picked up the car and drove it for a few trips, I wanted to be sure the suspension work was okay. They gladly scheduled a follow-up inspection and verified that all is well. Now it's like driving a new car!

My truck was towed here by AAA since it was the closest approved AAA repaid shop. I was very happy with the responsiveness of the shop and the great communication. They took care of my truck as if I had been a long time customer. The repairs were done quickly and while I don't know if the pricing was fair, I have no reason to believe otherwise. Very happy. Would use them again.

Had my car dropped off at Autotrend, and was greeted by Eddie the service manager. Took a few days for the fix, but Eddie was very communicative and took care of the situation. He explained the digital system used for updating and approving parts and services needed, and kept me updated without having to constantly call in. Sean, the technician was able to find some other leaks and fixed that as well. Eddie and his technicians are good people, and I highly recommend this shop.

Dropped my car off in the morning and right off the bat I felt confident that I had come to the right place. The service was great and there were no surprise issues that came up with my car. The price was very very reasonable especially considering they rotated my tires which I was not expecting but was so grateful they did. Thank you Eddie and the whole crew.

I took my car into Autotrend Diagnostics and Dave and team took great care of me and my car. They only did the work that I requested and didn't add any maintenance that wasn't necessary. I had some overheating issues with my car. I searched for a good place to get a diagnostic/repair and I found this place through a search engine. This guy Eddie took me in immediately and all I had to do was leave my car for a few hours. Once the diagnostic was done, Eddie compiled a list of all the issues my car was having. Sexy! What's even sexier than that was the fact that these guys had courtesy water AND SODAS! I've experienced courtesy water before, but never a courtesy soda.

They called me right away when I put in my request and I got a 50% on a rental at enterprise less than a minute away. It was still over 40 because of the Thanksgiving Holiday but discount helped. They had my car back in 4 days only because the carmax service took a little to actually give the go. I would recommend their service. Service: Check engine light diagnostic

Kind, responsive and EASY to work with! No one wants to need a car repair, but this team really makes it painless and as simple as it could be. It's tough to find a place that will touch a 1986 Vanagon with a Subaru motor, but, as usual, Dave, Kevin, and Eddie went above and beyond to make sure my car was ready for the road! A 6mo/6k mi service always gives me peace of mind after they check the entire car out, front to back, not just an oil change, and they let me know if anything on my car needs addressing (also not bad to keep track of things like brake wear so you have some idea when you can expect to need them done!) Thanks again guys!

Always get my Van RV serviced at autotrends. Last time was a new Ignition Module even tho my 1992 Dodge Van no longer manufactured them. They found an aftermarket company that would guarantee their modules and did the installation. Works great now. A year later, I have some "gunk" appear in my Carb Air Filter and double checked with them, Yes, they said it was probably the Crankcase Breather that has an "oil separator" inside that possible ruptured spewing the "gunk" into my Air Cleaner. So, no hard sell, they told me to pick one up myself and replace. Did that, all is well again. Thanks AutoTrends. you are appreciated.

I'm a new customer with Autotrend Diagnostics, and would highly recommend them. They provide a very professional and thorough service experience. Highly recommend Autotrend. Jose was communicative with the issue and solution. He took the time to discuss my options (even outside his establishment) and was very reasonable in pricing. When the car was collected Eddie was informative and friendly. Had great conversation with all that were at the shop. I am so glad to have found a mechanic that showed how much they value a customer. Super helpful and timely. Dave and Kevin came to the house to pick up the car during shutdown and delivered it back immaculate and fixed. Jose worked with the insurance company to make sure it was covered. I cannot recommend Autotrend diagnostics highly enough. I have used them other times with similar excellency.

To start with, I have some average knowledge about auto repairs because I have been fixing my own cars for years, so my review is most factual and reflective of the business competence of Autotrend Diagnosis through my car repair experience at this shop. I have an Infiniti car, which has a system lean issue for more than 6 months. I could not fix it so I had to sent it to specialized auto shops.
It was tried at least in 4 places including Infiniti dealer, but no one could successfully diagnose the cause and of course not repaired. Two days ago, I sent it to Autotrend for another try. Thank God, they pin-pointed the cause in just a few hours and now my car is running healthy on road. Its customer service manager, Jose, and key tech, Kevin, are well equipped with the trade know-how knowledge and skills.
I deeply appreciate its staff for solving the problem. Those who are still looking for a good auto repair shop, believe me, this is your ideal stop. You will be happy with my advice.

Jose and Dave are super helpful, honest and will breakdown everything your car needs in simple to understand terms. They will let you know what is critical to fix and what you can postpone when your budget allows! Highly recommended. If your car is your life line to work and family, pay for these quality folks to work on it. Ask for Jose!

It's great to find a shop that doesn't look for a way to take advantage of their customers. The dealership told me that I needed a repair, but their recommendation seemed off so I took my Ford to Autotrend. I discussed the supposed issue with Jose, they put my car up on the lift and verified what I was pretty sure was true - I didn't need $400 worth of work done to my suspension. Some shops may have told me I did, and happily charged me for the work. Thanks for being honest, Jose. I think I've found my go-to auto repair people!

I had some recall work done on my 2011 Escape by Capitol Ford and was told that my front brakes were in need of repair, as they had done a full vehicle inspection. I took my vehicle in to Autotrend Diagnostics to have the front brakes serviced. They also did a full inspection and, besides the brakes, also found that I had a leak in my transmission/air conditioning cooler and that there was a leak in the fuel delivery system where Ford had just completed the recall work! Needless to say, Autotrend gets my vote as my "go to" shop for auto repairs.
They are thorough, timely, and provide a lot of value far above just doing quality work. Thank you, Dave and Jose, for your outstanding business and customer service. You have a customer for life.

I brought my car in for an oil change, which I had been doing regularly at a to-remain-unnamed chain business. After the oil change, Jose went over some items that should be addressed for my car to perform better. Some items were minor (new windshield wipers, for example), while some were majorly important, like a broken link that affected axle stability and the fact that the light bulbs over my license plate were burnt out.
The other place had NEVER mentioned anything outside of the scope of the oil change, sending me merrily back onto the road with issues that could result in a fix-it ticket at least, and serious damage to my car at worst. I appreciate the team at Autotrend Diagnostics going above and beyond on my behalf, and not making me feel like I was a fool for not realizing the problems with my car, nor pressuring me into making any of the recommended repairs. Instead, they took the time to explain what ought to take priority and why. These are good and honest folk who are invested in keeping you and your driving experience safe. Really bummed to have to give then only 2 stars. We had been customers of Autotrend for many many years and have brought many cars here over the years. Recently we had to bring in our vehicle for some transmission issues. We explained the problem and asked them to run a diagnostic and inspection. Jose called and said they had inspected it and it was the transmission assembly. Ok, we said to go ahead and fix that.
We asked them if they did check the actual transmission, their answer was "yes, we checked everything". Several days later, car is ready, we go to pick it up, pay our 2k and start ro drive out of their parking lot only to have the check engine light go on. Turn around and go back in and they hook it up to the computer and say they just need to clear codes and all will be good.
Drive it home and the next day it has the same problem only worse. Have it towed back and they again inspect it and say oh its your transmission. We were mad! We asked several times if they did check the transmission, when we picked it up we asked straight out.did you check the tranmission? Was it ok. And we were told yes they did in fact check it.
They apologized, said it will now be 6k to get a new transmission or we can refund the 2k you already paid. We found a transmission shop who ordered us a rebuilt transmission with unlimited mileage and 3 yr nationwide warranty for 3k. Once again had it towed to a new shop and within a week it was good as new. What is disappointing too is that we never got to talk to Dave, the owner.

Jose was an absolute Gem! Very professional and explained EXACTLY what was wrong with my A/C and what was needed for it to be fixed. I've taken my car to two different places and they both said the same thing, but when I took it to Auto Trend they found out the issue and the other two places were way off! I most definitely recommend this place.

Dave and his guys are reliable and honest, and that's about the best compliment you can give an auto shop. I've had a couple of my vehicles in and they always do quality work, which they stand behind. Most recently, I had a problem with my '96 Corvette and the 'Service Engine Soon' light. It took three attempts to get it squared away, which might not sound good, but let me explain.
After the first visit, the light came on again, so I took it back in and they only charged me for a part, around $80. The third visit was free, and that fixed it for good. No labor charges after the first visit. I mention this because I can only imagine that other less honest shops would have used a situation like that to charge me as much as they could for each visit, and upsell me as much as possible, for things I probably don't even need.
All this tells me that Dave is more interested in doing a good job and being honest, and building customer loyalty than trying to rip off customers. I appreciate that, and that's why I will continue to give him my business.

I was looking for a mechanic to fix the suspension on my car. It was making some rattling noises when going over loose road at a slow speed. Since I live in the Campbell area I searched the businesses nearby and found Autotrend. I spoke with Dave on the phone before taking my car in and my first impression was that he was very friendly and thorough.
I told him that I had done a little research and that it may be the sway bar causing the noise although I wasn't 100% sure of that. We discussed a ballpark price and I brought my car in for service. I was hoping to spend no more than roughly $300 since this is what the estimated cost of repair was based on a website that gives you estimates of repair costs, one of which endorses Autotrend Diagnostics, they even have the seal on the window.
The estimate from the website was around $200, Dave mentioned that they would be on the higher end of the scale, fine by me. The actual cost was about $300 to replace the sway bar. While Dave still had my car, he gave me a call and let me know that he also found a worn/broken transmission mount, would be an additional $500 to fix. I hesitated slightly because that's alot of money but hey, if it may cure the problem and for safety, I gave him the OK.
Next day the car was done and I went to pick it up. Met with Dave and he even showed me the worn out part that he replaced from the transmission mount. He said the car was ready to go. I was excited that my car would finally be free of that annoying rattling sound. Dave had mentioned that they tested the car to try and pinpoint the sound. We did also discuss the possibility of it being the front shocks although those were replaced just recently.
I left the shop and although it seems the noise it a tad bit better, it's still there and still annoying. I would have given Dave and his team 5 stars because he's a very nice person to deal with, the shop looks clean, in a nice area, very thorough, showed me the worn part, etc. If my car would have been fixed, of course, 5 stars galore, well earned. But.
I left with my car still making the annoying noise that I brought it in with. My expectation was to drop my car off, tell mechanic to get rid of the noise, fix that noise, drive off with no noise. Were my sway bars really the issue? What if I didn't mention the sway bars from the initial phone call, then maybe would they have pinpointed a different issue that perhaps may have fixed the problem? Next time I take my car to a mechanic I'm just going to say, fix that noise and I don't want my car back until that noise is gone.

Dave and the folks at Autotrend Diagnostics were friendly, professional and their service was timely. They helped me with my fan belt which was yelping to be replaced every time I started up my car, and when I was sitting at stop lights. In addition, they spotted and resolved another issue with my car. They went above and beyond with the logistics to make sure I could drop off and pick up the car when it was convenient for me. (They have a key Dropbox and envelopes to explain the issue for when you drop off the car after hours). Definitely would recommend to others if they want an issue or multiple issues spotted and resolved with their car.
