It's rare to meet a mechanic who is both competent and honest. I had multiple issues with an older vehicle that dragged on for months, and John was patient and helpful not just in fixing the car but also explaining every step of the process and working with me as I tried to figure out my options. Found Affordable Car Care on Yelp. Called because I heard grinding noise when braking, so knew my brakes were on their way out. John said I could bring my car in during my lunch break and he'd take a quick look. Definitely bad-needed to replace brakes ASAP. I couldn't leave my car for the day, so I came back to work, called and confirmed I could bring it in first thing the next day. John was able to replace my brakes and quoted me fairly and even pointed out resurfacing the rotors (side note-I have a Nissan and told the dealer that the brakes squeaked. Brought it in twice and they said the brakes were fine.). Well, my car doesn't squeak anymore, and they were able to get the job done in the time frame I needed while being incredibly busy. John and entire staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend this business for any of your auto needs!

I've only ever had a good experience when coming here. The first time I came, my car started shaking and died on the freeway. The dealer didn't know what was wrong with it and were going to charge me just to figure out what was wrong. My colleague recommended this place so I brought my car here. John figured out what was wrong before giving me a quote on fixing my car (an exploded spark plug that damaged one of the cylinders).

I paid less than what the dealer would have charged my just to open up the car and figure out what was wrong! He was very honest and pleasant to work with. I've been coming here for all my car needs since then. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who wants quality care for their car. I'll be very hard pressed to find a car shop as good as this one since I've moved out of the area.

I am back at Square One. John must be a nice guy, but at the same time with proper communication skills that he lacks. At the same time I was out of my patience. He slummed a call on me, so no mercy!

Completely satisfied with their customer service and professionalism it is a very clean shop with Spacious Parking. John was very helpful so I replaced all 4 of my brakes on my vehicle for an extremely low and the wait time was very reasonable and I would definitely recommend this place to others. They also follow covid guidelines and practice safe distancing altough in my opinion isn't really necessary to me. The best part is that they don't upsell you like many other places therefore I Love this place found my new mechanic for life

John and Alex are very trustworthy and helpful. My AAA Tow Truck Driver recommended this place right away for my Prius and John was very fast at assessing my situation and giving great advice! Truly looking out to help out in the best way they can. Never felt like they were trying to take advantage at all!

ACC took care of my 2011 Toyota Prius requiring new brakes. John gave me great recommendations for an older car like mine and did the necessary work at a fair price. I had a new head installed by a Ford dealer. The car didn't run right after leaving the dealership and ultimately stalled down the street from Affordable Care Care. After an hour, the tow truck arrived and asked where I wanted to take the car. I suggested Pep Boys and the driver said oh no, they're terrible. He recommended Affordable Car Care about a mile away. John was able to identify a broken coil pack bracket. Assuming I would get it replaced by the dealer at no cost, John manufactured a bracket to hold it place.

The car still didn't throttle correctly. Through extensive trial and error, John found a loose ground wire that needed To be tightened. Car is back on the road good as new.

These guys are super reliable! My car wasn't startin and the tow brought it to these guys; thank lord. As soon as I arrived, my man John helped me out. The service was A1! He helped me out a lot in understanding my car and the problems with it, and how to fix them. Very transparent as well, will lay everything out for you as it is and what is best for your car.

My my mom car tire pressure indicator was flashing so I saw Affordable Car Care near my house. Drove in with no appt and was greeted by John. He kindly took out some air because I overfilled the tires. He was so kind and didn't ask for a dime. With a pandemic going on I'm glad there's still kind people willing to help you for no cost and just out of the kindness of their heart.

Low key they were amazing the first two times i took my car in reasonable and great communication. During covid cant say the same. I paid 500 for a diagnostic keep in mind the machine is 130 on amazon and 200 at auto zone and auto zone will let u plug in and read ur codes for free. So just saying be honest and dont try to sell old pos cars to your customers that have businesses and credit and would of been loyal customers if had not felt taken advantage of. Also wrote a detailed message to aaa as having this location as their suggested mechanic. Aaa do better research your suggested mechanics. l

Words can't even begin to express the gratitude I have for John and his shop. Everyone at this shop is respectful and welcoming, and having been in a precarious situation on a Wednesday night with a rare broken down 80s Diesel Land Rover Defender, with no solution in sight, this shop was a small little godsend. I couldn't for the life of me find a diesel mechanic in the middle of the week on a early evening that was available to take in my truck, let alone troubleshoot it.

So I decided to call AAA to find a certified lot to store the vehicle securely. The tow truck driver, Ruben, showed up pretty fast. After I told him I wanted to take the car to a gated lot to store for overnight he suggested Affordable auto care since it was nearby, and had a gate for secure overnight storage. He told me the one AAA had booked for me was not gated, so good looking out on his part. John welcomed me with open arms and was willing to work to try and start the truck with me.

He had some ideas as to what it could be so we decided to call it a day and wait till the next day. The following day I showed up to Johns shop early afternoon and he had already gone out of his way to get diesel for the truck, and was ready to try and troubleshoot the car with me. We spent around an hour trying all the ideas we had to try and get the thing started when finally. it roared to life!

We were super happy to finally get it started, John was super proud of the feat, and I screamed out of pure joy. This shop was a blessing, and I'm forever grateful for their help.

John is a very friendly and customer service oriented professional. I have had a great relief of stress since I discovered his shop knowing he will always work for my best interests. Having a trust worthy mechanic means everything when you are having car troubles.

John has been my mechanic for some time now. His quality of work is exceptional. He has quick turn around time and his prices are great. I took my car there today to replace the windshield. He did my repair for $100 cheaper than the other places that I was quoted at. He is thorough, pleasant to deal with and incredibly knowledgeable about cars.

My New spot! So today I needed to get my starter replaced. (So I thought ) I needed it to get done today, so I ended up towing it to Affordable car care which I was recommended by AAA. I'm usually very iffy about where to go and take my car to get fixed. But I'm glad i took a chance on this one. 100% coming back. YES! It is affordable! Totally recommend coming here to get any work done! Dropped my car off and picked up the same day. Friendly service! Trustworthy! Fast service!

I was really impressed with the service at affordable car care. The price was very fair and the turnaround time was very quick I came in late in the afternoon needing some urgent assistance. I was prepared to wait but John had me put the door in less than 2 hrs. The service was thorough and he didn't try to upcharge me or sell me services I don't need.

I would 10/10 recommend them to anyone I know. Update: I went back again today for assistance after my back window was smashed.my review still stands, quick and convenient service, fair price and complete transparency from John, the owner. I would still 10/10 recommend them for any car care needs!

Sometimes you get lucky when things look the worst. I was on the 405 when my clutch decided to fail. Waited for a tow from AAA wondering where to take my car. When AAA driver came to tow my car, he suggested Affordable Car Repair. I said OK. After talking with John, I decided to have him repair the clutch. The estimate was crazy. John wanted to take a look, maybe he could save me some money. WOW I was very happy with the final bill. The clutch feels perfect. Even quicker than I thought. Really nice to get a little customer service. I took a few cards to give to my friends.

Well.when I thought great auto mechanics were a thing of the past. John proved me wrong. Came in for a electrical problem that was causing problems with my headlights. John was able to diagnose correctly my issue and get me back on the road. Backstory; I was pulled over 3 days ago by the wonderful LAPD for a headlight out and license plates out. Got luckier than a pig in shit and only got a warning.

Which brings me here today.getting the electrical issue fixed. At the end of the day, John and Affordable Car Care are an amazing shop to get some work done. I highly recommend them!
