Short version: (1) literally saved me thousands of dollars on a repair job; (2) great service; (3) excellent workmanship and (4) even waited around after closing time for me to pick up my car. Longer version: I accidentally scraped/dented my car door against a pillar in a parking garage while parking. Part of the body work was dented enough that the front passenger door wasn't opening all the way.
The first body shop I went to told me there was no way to bang out the dent and that replacing everything would cost $3,400. I went to Downtown Body Shop; Greg told me it'd be $1,000 to replace everything, but they also could bang out the dent and buff the paint for $60. I went with the second option; they finished up the afternoon I dropped it off and it hardly looked like I had scraped the paint at all. They even offered to wait a half hour after closing so I'd be able to pick up my car that evening. Highly recommended.

10/10 would recommend especially if you are young and scared of mechanics lol. My bumper and the black liner stuff under the bumper had broken and missing clips from a accident a long time ago and my duct tape finally failed me so I took it in. They not only drove me to work when I dropped off my car but they washed it, vacuumed it and gave me a cute little lanyard when I came to pick it up literally two days later. Also everything was fixed and looked amazing.

People always say to get a good recommendation from someone you trust when you're looking for an independent body shop. I did not have that luxury, but this review section helped me choose Downtown Body Shop and I am SO glad I did! Corey was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and communicated with the other driver's insurance company so I didn't have to think about it.
The insurance company took their time approving his estimate, but Corey was never bothered by my weekly calls to check in and consistently communicated any updates with me as soon as he had them. As soon as the estimate approval process was done, I brought my car in for an entirely new bumper and had it back looking like BRAND NEW in 2 days time. They washed and vacuumed my car and had it looking better than it did the day after I bought it. I highly recommend them. They take what is often a stressful situation and make it a BREEZE. Thanks y'all!

Drove my van here to get it fixed through ACC insurance and when I went to pick it up they said the van has no brakes. Then I looked around the vehicle and paint was missing from the passenger door. My vehicle has more damage than when I drove it up there and dropped it off. Now they say they can't finish it because of the brakes. I drove my van from Splendora, Tx all the way to this body shop.
All of a sudden after they had it for 3 weeks I have no brakes. I call bs. Poor service. I will never take another vehicle of mine to the place. They just want insurance money.

T R E A T M E N T : Complete disregard and lack of proper business etiquette for the wrong consumer advice they give. Even if the misleading advice given was not intentional, and was by mistake, the fact that this business does not even know how to apologize and then shoves you out the door for reasons no sane business owner would utilize demonstrates their lack of respect for people wanting to do business with them.
After the unfortunate actions Linda Carter demonstrated to me as a first time visiting highly recommended customer, the correlation between other bad reviews and their experience in comparison with mine go hand in hand and undoubtedly serves as evidence for the bad business management they choose to abide by when they make up their mind they don't like you and do not want your business. (Again, The reasons behind all these actions was not clear, and one can only conclude the foundation of these attacks and issues this business creates is much more discriminative.) The reasons behind the unjust behaviors they portray can be constituted as discriminative but unfortunately the lack of physical evidence demonstrating such discrimination puts a strain on these accusations and so the business will most likely deny the allegations.
But if you've gone through it, you know what I am talking about. I recommend saving your time and your peace by not going here. Stick to your dealership or literally any other body shop that you may have closer to you since the treatment this Downtown Body Shop will portray is inexcusable. P R I C I N G The pricing, well I did not get to see any major discounted comparative price, the price I was originally quoted was cheaper than my dealership but it was not a brand new part nor were they painting, so $70.00 less than the dealership but for much less labor doesn't seem that much of a difference.
After going to get my part installed they did not install it as they said it is missing a wire, at that point I would have deliberately gone to my dealership to get all the proper work done, but I was recommended, the part was in, I waited a week and I drove all the way here by 45S and UH from cypress with no side mirror so I was very willing and interested in continuing the service with them.
I asked for the pricing on the wire part, the service pricing to install the wire, and what the odds were of him (a younger guy) finding this wire. All because I wanted to continue service with them. In that moment Linda Carter stepped in and my consumer advise was no longer "come on over we do not need to see your car, the picture you sent is enough to understand the situation and order the part needed.
We will have it in and we will take good care of you" to "well our pricing won't be too far from that. I say just go with your dealership" So in conclusion, pricing is also not a big factor in why one would go here or even recommend because they will tell you themselves, you're better of going anywhere else. So take their advice, go anywhere else!

I cannot recommend this place strongly enough. I took my car in for repairs after damage to my taillight and bumper from backing into a post, and they had it back to me looking good as new in less than three days from the time I dropped it off. I thought prices were fair based on other service I've received at other shops in other cities - but these guys really went above and beyond.
They sent an employee along to drive my car back from work when I was dropping it off (so I didn't have to call a ride). They offered to open on a Saturday (when they are normally closed) so I could pick up my car in case I couldn't get there before they closed on Friday. They also fixed my broken seat controls (which I was planning to deal with later and hadn't asked them to fix) and didn't charge me for the extra service. Really friendly, awesome guys - this is a gem of a shop. Thanks so much for the fantastic service!

Best car repair! The before and after is just amazing. The body on my car was dented and the paint was in horrible shape. They did an outstanding job my car looks brand new! The prices are reasonable and the time they fixed it I was impressed. I had my car in days. Very pleased with this company, I highly recommend.

You would be hard pressed to find better service than that provided by the hard working people at Downtown Body Shop. My car was almost totaled and Corey and his crew accurately estimated the cost and stayed within budget. The price was on the high side but I definitely received what I payed for! I highly recommend! Thanks Downtown Body Shop!
