Have had these guys do a few different vehicles for me and they always do amazing work and get my vehicle back before it's promised usually. Can't do better then going to CNL

My car has had plenty of issues in the last couple of years; it's on its way to being classified as a dinosaur and it's got plenty of miles under its belt. I've visited my fair share of mechanics, some very good, some awful, but none quite come to par with the quality of care and help I found at C&L. Ryan and his team made sure that I understood what needed addressed immediately and explained why it was urgent.

They pulled damaged parts as they were being replaced and explained how it worked and contributed to the different noises coming from my engine. They never made me feel dumb or attempted to take advantage of my lacking car knowledge, and I sincerely appreciate them for that.

Not only did they fix my bad headlight, they also cleared a check engine light that had been on for two years deapite my regular mechanic's attempts to clear it.

It has taken me awhile to find an excellent, honest mechanic here in Eugene, but C & L is it. I have an older Outback from the east coast with a lot of salt damage/rust. As just one example of why I fully trust C&L, the power steering rack went out due to rust a few years back. They replaced it; that replacement part failed earlier than expected, and rather than charge me to have it replaced again (and it is an expensive part) they replaced it for free.

Even though the part failing was no fault of their own. A year later, steering fluid was leaking due to an unrelated rust issue in one of the lines. They fixed this for free too, even though it had nothing to due with their original repair; since it was related to the power steering system, they fixed it under their warranty, for free. I'm sure they can't do this all the time or they'd go out of business, but they have my confidence and business as a result.

Had a dead battery that couldn't be easily changed due to the configuration of the engine. Despite not having an appointment, they were able to take care of my car, ordered the battery, got it in within hours and got me back on the road the same day. Office staff very nice, just good quality service all around. We've gone to them before, and they always do good work.

They've done everything from window tint, car starter, stereo/subwoofer, headlight/taillight installation and exhaust welding for me.

Great service and everyone is soooo friendly. However, most of the staff that I could see were not wearing masks. I felt unsafe and couldn't wait to leave. Everyone at the front was wearing a mask when I arrived, but one by one, they all took them off at some point and never put them back on.

Mr. Scroggins I wanted to say it was a pleasure doing business. He honored his word. Also, would like to spread the word of the C & L team and how they saved me thousands of dollars. If you ever think of buying a used vehicle Do yourself a favor by having these guys do a pre purchase vehicle inspection. Can't thank C & L enough for not allowing shady car dealers who try to take advantage of others through false advertising vehicle that are not good. Mr. Scroggins communication was spot on even living few hours away his mechanic found major issues right away and I was not charged for the full inspection. Thanks!

I am beyond grateful for this place! Was driving home from the coast and new to the Eugene area. My front right tire started acting weird and was extremely loud-- just weird! Stopped at a Les Schwab in McMinnville, told Me there was nothing wrong and sent me on my way. Just didn't feel right. Drove another 90+ miles and it got louder and more pronounced. Gut feeling, just knew something was up. Came in the next morning to C&L for a second opinion, they diagnosed the problem immediately and had it fixed by early the next morning.

Friendly and very knowledgeable service. Explained problem in a way I could understand and gave me all sorts of payment options as well. Even took a test drive with me to insure it was working properly and followed up a week later to make sure things are okay. Beyond grateful for the place and knowledge they have. I don't even know what I would have happened to me if I believed Les Schwab! Highly recommend! I'm not going to go anywhere else!

I have been going to C&L for 15 years. I love the service they provide and the way they explain what repairs are needed and what can be put on hold. Have recommended several friends and family to them and have received only positive responses. They are awesome!

Just had mechanic work done on my car, great service, very reasonable labor, and Chad was able to help me with some car starter problems. Chad also has tinted several vehicles for me. Tint is top notch. Highly recommend for all automotive needs!

Excellent little mom and pop shop. We were given honest quotes and not offered services we did not need. We had gone to a other shop before hand but they no availabilities, so knew exactly what we needed fixed. This store was more thorough in their inspection and even printed out pictures of my vehicle to show me where the damage to the tire was. Also they were reasonable with pricing and were cheaper than other shops in the area. Definitely recommend their services. Very pleasant experience.

I've attempted calling the facility twice to remedy this issue. Still, no response. I had ordered an oil change, tire rotation and 32 point inspection. The cap was left off *see photo, and the oil drain plug stripped. I went to this facility based on the positive reviews, but I will not be returning.

Professional, skilled and ethical. I was impressed by C and L Automotive and I will absolutely be a return customer.

Polite, knowledgeable, friendly staff. Very professional. Best service I have ever experienced. They truly are wonderful. I will never take my car anyplace else, by choice. I HIGHLY recommend them. My mother has been going to C&L for over 10 years. They always treat her with the ultimate respect and kindness.

I don't know what to think of these reviews, are they true, or do I just have bad luck. Probably not all true, and I definitely need better luck. I had a few issues with them, and the one last week was pretty messed up. C&L gave me a quote $200 higher than the dealer. I gave the job to the dealer, had the expensive part order ready, and when returning a few hrs later to pick up my car, . my car DID NOT need the $430 job that C&L put down as $650+, showed me the issue, kept putting red triangle symbols on this job that needed to be done., that was a scary mis diagnosis!

I dought it has much more than a very bad mis diagnosis, I hope not! It was very disturbing to find out I didn't need this expensive job. It was also disturbing that S. Did not follow up on phone call we had. Please customers, get a second opinion and estimate before letting this happen.

I cannot express how much I like the folks at C & L Automotive! Today, I took my "German" car (we'll leave it at that) in for brakes. I was advised a couple weeks ago by the factory dealership (in Portland) that my front pads were at 5.5mm (caution) and rear pads were at 3mm ("fail"). Stephany advised that their mechanic did a courtesy inspection and found that the front pads were actually at 8mm and the rear pads at 5mm and were wearing symmetrically. Ergo, a brake job ($2800 were calipers to be needed) wasn't even necessary at this time!

The dealership that gave the disingenuous report is seriously lacking in integrity. C & L on the other hand is to be commended for their extraordinary integrity and honesty. I cannot recommend them highly enough! I'm dismayed at the blatant dishonesty I experienced with the dealership and will likely never go back there.

Ryan and Steve took car of my car when another mechanic could not discover the issue. Further, Ryan took care of the price, offering a new customer discount and another adjustment due to the money I had already spent elsewhere. YES, he adjusted the price due money I spent on ANOTHER mechanic. Very much appreciated the communication throughout the process and through explanation of work done. I need work done on my carbureted RV and they advised they could help with that as well. Will be back and certainly recommend. NOTE: my car is running great!

We have been bringing our SUV here for years. Appreciate the excellent service. Estimates for work are right on. Work that was done is explained in detail for those who have little mechanical knowledge.

I wish I could rate this shop with more than 5 stars. C&L Automotive provides the best repair service I've ever encountered. Their professionalism is above par. Their mechanical services for repairs and/or tune-ups are excellent and reasonable! ALL the staff are very intelligent, especially regarding the services provided, and the mechanic's are very knowledgeable in their field of work.

I really enjoyed the thoroughness of C&L automotive, as well as their customer service. Not only did they inspect the entire car, but they honestly advised approximately how much life was left in the brakes, or if a part REALLY needed to be replaced, etc. Also, not too long after my service, I received a follow-up call from C&L; they wanted to make sure everything was going well, and inquired if I had any questions for them. In my opinion, C&L has set the bar very high for customer service. I am truly grateful for finding this shop. C&L is where I take my vehicle to.

When we moved to Eugene we found ourselves searching for a new mechanic. We were wondering if we could be as satisfied after our last mechanic who we were with for seven years. C & L has far surpassed our expectations as we look to keep our 187,000 mile van in good working order. The good starts when you walk in the door and are not only greeted by a friendly face and hello, but when you are listened to about your needs and plans for your vehicle (thanks Matt)! Steve, who is the owner has always taken the time to hear our concerns, give thoughtful feedback and explain everything in detail. Service has always been prompt, reasonably priced and we have always felt that they are truly experts at what they do--and they do so with integrity.

I had to take my car back twice ( total of 3 visits) to change a waterpump housing. Sloppy work. Bad vibes from employees. I don't recommend.

Been coming to these guys for years- always fair prices, great attitudes and communication. They don't give you the run-around and they always call and communicate with you.

I have been taking my business and personal vehicles there for years. Great service, complimentary drop off and pick ups. Very knowledgeable. The only shop i have been to that admits if they are stumped and will say this might or might not work. Steve, and his mechanics are top notch and always seem to find a way to keep my rigs running top notch. They are a little bit more expensive then some, but cheaper then others, but they warranty all work they do, and only use the best lifetime guarantee parts. -Greg

Prompt and friendly service! I had my car in for an oil change and they did a great job of looking everything over and letting me know what may need work in the future. Both over the phone and in person, Ryan took his time explaining what regular maintenance work should be done sooner than later and the expected cost. Their website has printable coupons and they offer a punch card for oil changes, buy 4 get 1 free! I was referred by a friend and now I will be referring friends and family to C&L as well.

Steve and his crew were not just professional and friendly but also helpful in the aftermath of my automobile's demise: driving me as far as the airport and helping me dispose of the automobile, which entailed leaving my car in their lot for weeks.
