Scammers. I was told they replaced both my rotors and brakes, charged me for it. And i recently got a carfax and on the carfax, it shows they only resurfaced them. They charged me labor and parts for new rotors and tried to pull a fast one. shame shame.

It's really hard to find a mechanic you can trust. Each time I bring my car to McGregor's I am so refreshed by their efficiency, honesty, and professionalism. I've been bringing my car here for about a year now between brake jobs, EVAP leaks, and wheel bearing issues. They will never fix something that doesn't need fixing. Their diagnostics and thoroughness are always right on. They get the job done and always do such a great job with repairs, no matter what it is. Will be bringing my car here always! Left with 2 flat tires after beads cleaned and one patched. 2 days later called told them they won't take air. Mind you I'm on Balltown rd. Temps below freezing. Instead of saying bring car down while you can. I was told to try again and this was a Monday and he says come Thursday Really!. Mind you I found out it costs at 3 shops to clean beads and patch 2 tires is only 39.00 tax included! I was charged 95.00! Used to love this place! Leaving a customer literally out in the cold with excuses. WOW! He used to care!

The guys at McGregor are always professional and friendly and do what they say. Anytime something beyond is required they call, explain it and give me a price which is always fair. They are the only shop I will go to because of the level of service and the level of trust they've earned. They are professional, skilled, and always take the time to patiently answer any questions, and explain all the options for repairs. They've been there for me through new transmissions to new car purchases, with advice and support. It's great to have mechanics with integrity who you know you can trust. Mcgregor's offers the kind of old-fashioned customer service that keeps people coming back.

Friendly service, fair prices, timely communications, and quality work. I would have loved to give this business a five star rating. Unfortunately, there were multiple unmasked people in the shop, including two employees. It's a shame, because I could have seen myself being a loyal customer for years to come. If you don't care about your health and the health of your family and community, then I highly recommend this shop.

They seem long overdue for a review. Small businesses like this are the ones we should support. My experience is based on one visit so I can't speak on their consistency, but I found myself with a flat tire driving into work on a snowy morning. ##Shout out to the Stewart's delivery truck driver who changed my tire and wouldn't take a tip or an offer to pay for lunch.

I called McGregor's based on some positive reviews and sure enough, I have two new tires at a very reasonable cost. If I lived closer, I'd try them more often, but if you find yourself in Schenectady in need of some work to your call, I'd give these guys a shot.

McGregor's has been servicing my cars since 2004. Every experience I have had with them has been excellent. Of course, no one loves going to see a car mechanic (can be more painful that the dentist), but McGregor's gives me timely estimates, keeps me posted, and are always professional. Special note to anyone who knows nothing about cars - they explain things so that you can understand (if you want to) and have never made me feel like a dope. I always trust these guys and their work.
