Now in its fourth generation of family ownership, White Post Restorations was founded in 1940 as a two-man repair shop for farm machinery and local cars. White Post has grown from its humble beginnings in 1940 to a finely tuned operation, with indoor space for over 60 vehicles.

Our History Report

White Post Restorations was founded by Bill Thompson in 1940 as a two-man repair shop for farm machinery and local cars. His son, Billy Thompson II, took over the business after Bill's untimely passing. Billy was an antique car enthusiast and was the driving force behind White Post Restorations' evolution as a farm repair shop to a world renowned restoration facility.

We are always pleased to welcome visitors to our facility to experience our award-winning craftsmanship firsthand. We prefer to arrange tours during normal business hours (Tuesday - Friday; 7am - 5:30pm) so visitors can see our Restoration Technicians at work. If your schedule does not permit a visit during our normal operating hours, please call or email us to discuss alternative arrangements.

Billy and the team at White Post did an amazing job rebuilding ALL the brake components for our clients 89 Alfa Romeo 6. Great communication, great turn around time, and the product was amazing. Calipers, master cylinder, and brake booster looked like they just came off the shelf from 1989. Insane work. 10 stars and my company will continue to use them for any brake restorations. Sent them the original master cylinder from my car that had been off the car and stored for years. It was rough. Rusty and crusty. Came back and looked better than new. Could not have been more pleased. Highly recommended.

Not sure if this counts! Was there in 1990 during a massive celebration with 6 states car clubs, confederate Air Force, and lots of celebrating. We did a tour of facility and was amazed what they could do. Not sure if anyone remembers this.
