The only reason I gave this place 1 star is because there wasn't an option for no stars! I took my car to Woods Automotive to get my car painted and fix up minor things that was wrong with it. At first when I went there everything was pretty good. I got along with the manager Rick, and everything was going great! I even recommended people to go to him.
I told Rick that I had just bought a 2013 2 door Golf R, and that I wanted to make it a show car for competitions. He assured me that for less than $1500 he could make the car show quality! I really got a great vibe from him, so I told him let's go for it! I was really excited about the project and the new found friendship and partnership we was going to develop.
Boy was I wrong! It took him 2 weeks to get my car done the first time. When I went to my first car show and I was wiping down my car, I had seen so many imperfections on the paint that he had just done. I took it back to him and he said he would fix it. Another 2 weeks went by and the car was still in the same place it was at when I delivered it to him.
He hadn't done nothing to the car yet. I went inside to find out what was going on and the people in the shop acted like they didn't even know who I was, so I just left left pissed off! When I seen Rick a week later he came out with an attitude saying that I shouldn't question how long things would take to get done in his shop and that If I didn't like the way he did things, I could take my car elsewhere!
After I got the car back another week later, I noticed that he scraped the tint on my driver side window. He said he would take care of it, which he didn't do because I ended up taking to my guy to re-tint it. By this time I was done with him and I took my car to another place to fix all the damages Rick did to my car! So far I'm about $1100 in extra expenses in my car that I shouldn't have had to pay if he would've just done the job right the first time and not half ass it like he did!
My friend that he did work on said that his clear coat from his bumper was chipping off. He also said their is no way in hell hes going back their either! So bottom line is if you care about your car, DONT TAKE IT TO WOODS AUTOMOTIVE! If you want a cheap paint job on your car, your better off taking it to Macco!

If you want your car fixed worse than if you paid a high school kid to do it in your front yard go here. My wife's car was rear ended and USAA suggested this shop. In the 80's they were a reputable shop but now they are 2 steps down from Maaco. Her bumper came off the car less than a month after the repair and I noted that they 'forgot' to put the clips in under the trunk lid.
Her windshield wipers flew off the car after she picked it up which was extremely dangerous! (They had possibly taken them loose for a car cover to be put on the car? I still dont know why they messed with the windshield wipers) Better was that because I didnt wash the car (wrecked) before bringing it over they claimed the white paint was faded. I guess that made it ok to not spray enough paint on the rear bumper so I could see the color runs on the bumper.
You can actually see through the paint in the direct sunlight at the right angle. They get bonus points for telling me her car did not have mud flaps while Im staring at the old bumper with both mud flaps mounted on the old one. BAD BAD shop
