Silver Spray Service

I booked an oil change last March, 2022. I spoke to someone on the phone who was efficient and friendly, but sadly those characteristics went out the window the moment I walked in the door. Mike was in charge of the change, and I was immediately hit with a foul, gut wrenching odor as I met him. I decided to go to metro market with my wife while we waited.

We returned 45 minutes later and it seems the car hadn't moved. Mike kept staring at me while I tried to see what the hold up was, he seemed angry, and at times smug. After 4 hours they finally got to work. (It wasn't busy all day). After a total of 4 and a half hours, they finally finished my wife's oil change. Mike simply said "It's ready", no apology, no explanation, despite such a crazy wait.

This place smells bad, but the service is worse. Edit: You are technically correct, I called for information not to actually "book" an appointment. As for my information, I am not providing any personal details about my wife or her car for all to see. I think it shows a lack of character to reply in such a defensive and sarcastic tone. You have been around 50 years, and yet the bad reviews keep coming. Hmm

This a*%hole named mike told me an oil change would be around $50, I figured after taxes and all that it would maybe be $60 my card was charged $78! 1/5 stars because it doesn't go any lower than that Service: Oil change

Went in to have my battery checked and possibly replaced, where I was met with very rude mechanics that kept my car all day when I had a very important business meeting, to come back and for them to say that my engine was fine, they forgot to check my battery and wasted my entire day, and a good chunk of money. This is not the first time it's happened, 0/10 will not be going again.

My daughter signed up for the 2 inch snow plow contract, but half the time they've come out this year there was definitely much less than two inches. I measured the driveway and the news also reported well under two inches each time. Their service department must not be doing too well after reading some reviews. I guess they need to take advantage of the few existing customers that they do have. I shouldn't even pay them for their services, but everyone makes mistakes, and hiring them was MY mistake.

Here's the deal with this place. They always do what they say. Every time. And on time. You may not get warm and fuzzy from these guys. I think they were all drill seargents in the marines and they have that air about them lol. Don't look for hugs. But they are always friendly. But if you want the job done right the first time in a timely manner for the price they quote then go.

It is a real family biz as well. Sons working with Dad etc. They will never be the cheapest quote as they only use high quality parts but you get what you pay for. I recently had a timing belt replaced and the price was exactly as quoted. Plus they took it in the next morning after my call and had it done by the end of the day. I have even gone to them with tire repairs unannounced which they did while I waited.

They will suggest other repairs they see as future issues but offer no pressure to do it. They will very honestly tell you to wait or get it done now for safety. They also stand by their work. A friend of mine who recommended them had a job that went bad, they fixed it completely no questions asked and compensated her for her troubles. They took full responsibility. So there. My review.

UPDATE: 3/8/22 Original complaint: 1/26/21 Company response: 3/8/22 That's 1 year, 1 month and 10 days after the fact. That's what I call responsive service :) Original post from 1/26/21: Snow Plow Service. My Jacqueline Ct. neighbor has used your service for the past several years. I use metal snow stakes to protect my lawn from snow plows. For the past two winters, my stakes have consistently been backed into- I never could prove who did it.

This afternoon I watched the young driver shear it off near the base. I walked out to speak with him. In the middle of his telling me that he could put it back into the frozen ground, he drove away to the next home, 4 doors down. I walked up to him as he was finishing there and he was now saying that he didn't do it. I asked for his card- he said he didn't have one, told me to "take a chill pill", and drove away.

The homeowners must have seen this. They offered to pay for the replacement of the stake and did. (thanks Mr. & Mrs. E). My neighbors now think their driveway is on my lawn due to this company's plowing, and somewhere under a thin layer of snow is a severed sharp piece of steel. Extremely unprofessional. I left a voicemail message with my phone number. I am using this format for documentation for the future repair of my lawn after the winter plowing season ends. Again, very unprofessional.

Lied to me three times. Once told me my tires that were only 8 weeks old were shot, told me my 1 week old brakes wouldn't last the winter, then tried to convince my rear pinion seal was leaking, which I've had 3 different mechanics confirm that it wasn't, one even considered it laughable that some one actually tried to ''sell' me on that. While once my whole family trusted this place, they are clearly now about sucking as much money out of the customer as possible. They are liars, plain and simple. Edit: Yes I am sure.

Don't even think about working at this mechanic shop. All they do is lie and short your pay. My boyfriend used to work there and they refused to pay him vacation time that he had earned. They also refuse to payout vacation time for their current employees. You'd think they could afford that after receiving the $98,000 free government "loan" that they didn't even need.

Not a single penny of that went to the employees. Don't work there. Trust me. They short you pay, vacation time, and disrespect everyone. I'm sure OSHA would love to visit this shop sometime. They would be out of business in a heartbeat.

I've been going here for the last 12 years. They always do great work and are honest with me. I appreciate their upfront service and quality car care. I come here for my oil changes, brakes, tires, and anything that comes up with my vehicle. Thank you for always treating me with respect and taking pride in your work! I went there because my passenger door window was off track. I asked them to check it. After 30 mins they told me that my regulator is bent, my gas kits are torn off and they quoted $475 to fix all this. I asked my brother and he told me to come back as this price is not justified at all. They took another 40 mins and then charged me $71 just to check.

Yesterday I got my window fixed just for $120, my regulator is in very good shape, gas kit is all fine, the guy who fixed it just open the panel and put the glass properly again on the regulator and align the rubber/gas kit properly to edges and I am all done. Shame on these people who are over charging for no reasons

I use this car wash on a very regular basis. Always excellent service EXCEPT for this morning (Sunday) where the staff was no where near as good as the staff during the week, especially the two man spray team who were terrible and did not spray me whole vehicle. Service: Auto detailing

This gas station not only usually has the best fuel prices on this side of the city, but also has THE BEST CAR WASH I've ever been to. Probably the best thing is that two attendants take a couple minutes before your car goes through the car wash they soap and pressure wash your car to make sure any hard to remove bugs, dirt, or anything is completely washed off before you go through.

They have multiple tiers of washes, plus ala carte options, say if you only want to add an underbody flush, and not have to buy the more expensive wash, which is very cool. And another great thing about this place is the FREE unlimited time vacuums. I've spent 20 or 30 minutes detailing and vacuuming my car here. If I can help it, I only come to Silver Spray for my car washes!

I needed an oil change but ended up with more help than that. Chris & Mike are friendly & really want to help. It's a bustling business between gas, custom car wash (I'm talking real people to dry your car!) & expert maintenance. Would not go anywhere else.

Do NOT go here. They took advantage of me as being a female who does not know much about cars. They charged me $10 just to RESET my oil change light! I have never been charged to reset my oil change light in my entire life, and don't know a single person who has! I also had my car towed there due to having little oil pressure and they tried selling me a new engine.

So I got a second opinion, and the cause for the low oil pressure was a low quality oil filter that Silver Spray put on. They tried robbing me out of over $4,000. Do NOT go here, the mechanics are thieves! My entire family used to trust them, but not anymore.

I have used Silver Spray on 3 separate occasions and have had a great experience every time. The manager, Mike, is very friendly and spent time driving around in my car with me until we were able to replicate the sound I had been hearing on the highway. Also the prices are very reasonable and each time I had work done, they gave me a price breakdown of why everything costs how much it does, which is helpful for someone who is not Car-savvy such as myself. I also dealt with Chris and he was very helpful and professional. I would recommend Silver Spray to my friends and family in the future.

I have gone to Silver Spray for almost 20 years and find them to be extremely honest and knowledgeable. Prices are more than fair and I always feel as if they are watching out for my best interests. Case in point: My "alternative" car was 9 years old and had 100,000+ miles on it. When the exhaust system went out, Silver Spray repaired it for less than $300 by welding and fashioning parts instead of installing an $800+ new system.

I also have purchased tires from Silver Spray on several occasions and their prices are extremely competitive. I have recommended Silver Spray to friends and neighbors, and will continue to do so. They're the best.
