Incorporated in 1991, The European Car was a new entity that began with the purchase of German Auto, Inc. German Auto had been in the business of repairing and maintaining high-end European Cars for 25 years prior to their purchase. Changes are happening at the EuroCar, longtime head mechanic Jeff Welch has taken ownership of the business. Nothing will change with exceptional service you expect from the EuroCar with his 25 years of automotive service. Our top ranked service engineers perform the 'magic' behind the scenes and always go the extra mile to make certain our customers are taken care of properly.
Services
As a Bosch-Authorized Service Facility, The European car is capable of performing all services on most every European and Swedish vehicle imported to the US, with the exception of Transmission work and Airbag repairs. We stock and sell parts for most all vehicles we service - those parts we may not have can generally be procured two to three times a day from area dealers and vendors.

Friendly knowledgeable service on European vehicles old and new. The owner and business operator replaced a burned out headlight that DIY videos online made seem too difficult to do it yourself. Decided to change all the front lights at once so they'd be the same age. He's ordered some other things the car needs and will call when they come in, and a couple of other parts he'll use from the car that was the same make and sadly totaled by a bad driver.

I can not say enough good things about my experience with Jeff at The European Car. I recently purchased an older BMW, and of course immediately had problems with it. I knew I wanted to find a shop that had experience with BMWs and enjoyed working on them (as not all mechanics do). I did research to try to find a place close to my home, but the initial communication with both places I contacted left me feeling uneasy.
As I expanded my search, I came across this shop. The reviews were great, but most importantly, I had an absolutely amazing experience communicating with Jeff before he had even seen the car. He was never pushy, and really took the time to explain everything to me in a way I was comfortable with. For me, the most important thing in finding a mechanic is someone I can trust.
I dont know anything about cars, and having a relationship with someone that I believe is always upfront and is not trying to over sell is absolutely paramount. I dropped off my car for the first time after hours, but was more than confident that it was in good hands. Just as promised, Jeff called me as soon as he identified the issue, and was able to resolve it same day.
When I picked up the car Jeff was incredibly patient with me and answered all of my questions in detail. The next day my check engine light came on ( unrelated to the previous days problem), and again, Jeff was super responsive. Even though he was completely booked, he offered to scan the car the same day so we could be sure that whatever the issue was, was not safety related. Again, Jeff took the time to answer all of my questions respectfully and in a way that I understood the problem.
Day 3, the check engine light is on again, and my availability would only allow me to bring the car either today, or not until Monday. Jeff replied to my message within the hour saying that he wanted me to bring it down today "because he would feel better knowing why the light was on this time instead of waiting". There is no better feeling then finding someone you truly believe loves what they do, are honest, and actually cares about the safety of their customers.
I can not thank Jeff enough for his outstanding customer service, and recommend The European Car without hesitation. If you are looking for someone knowledgeable, patient, and honest- Jeff is your guy!

Finally found a great mechanic. Sadly my car was beyond repair (Mini Cooper), but they were honest and helpful. Told me the error codes, explained the process of elimination for how they figured out what was wrong. I will be coming back here 10/10 Follow up m; I did come back and the owner Jeff helped fix my dodge tailgate. So helpful and reliable.

I took my 2013 Mercedes here on a whim for a quote and this place now has my business for life. I received quotes from other shops that felt like I was being ripped off and I didn't get that feeling at all from Jeff. Both Jeff and Nancy were a pleasure to work with! 10/10 Services: Brakes, Wheel alignment, Steering & suspension repair

My need turned out to be minor on the spectrum of auto repairs.a dud battery replaced under warranty. That said, Jeff and his support staff were friendly and efficient. Jeff had a full roster yet squeezed me in. I waited down the road at Giv coffee shop for less than an hour, so the location of his shop in Canton on 44 didn't hurt. I have a good feeling about Jeff from this experience and, though I hope it'll be a long while, I'd call upon him again without hesitation.

This is the only place you should consider bringing your vehicle. Jeff is the best mechanic/technician around. Most importantly, Jeff is honest. My wife and I have trusted Jeff with our vehicles for last couple of years since we started bringing our vehicles to him. Expect nothing short of great service, professionalism, and courtesy from Jeff and his staff.

The european car is the place to go for your repairs. nancy, jeff and bob are as good as it gets. from the phone call to the repairs, they are all the standard for all good business practices. knowledgable, responsive, honest and as friendly as it gets. i had a problem with my car that was absolutely about safety, (no airbag, no horn) that was purchased in september of 2017, (not a dealership, a repair & sales place) though it was not under warranty any longer, the sales dude encouraged me to come to him for any repairs i may need in the future. when i needed this repair he was too busy with sales to offer an appointment.i got "maybe next week". i called the european car, was quoted an estimate, i said let's do it, and had an appointment the next day. when i picked up the car all repaired, the cost was $60.00 less than original estimate.woo hoo, what a nice surprise. i asked why it was less and nancy told me that it didn't take as long as "the book" said for labor, so they charged me less. wow, i didn't think anyone practiced this kind of honest business any more. nancy, jeff & bob are truly the pinacle of excellence in business.

I've brought my vehicles to the Euro Car many times with excellent service. In particular, last time I went there I had service that needed to be done, they did it, inspected the rest of the car and explained to me when I should start thinking about replacing the failing components as there was still some life left on the original ones. No way would a dealer do that for me.
Very professional, informative and friendly, I recommend them to everyone I know needing a honest mechanic. I'm not sure about a couple of the other adverse comments listed but I can only imagine it's because the guy that drove his 1985 junker in wanted it worked on for 20 dollars an hour because that's what his neighbor charged him in the past while hoping for a miracle. Not the mechanics fault!

I would highly recommend The European Car. Jeff the owner/mechanic truly has a passion for cars and the quality of excellence shows in his work. The prices are extremely reasonable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Although they specialize in European cars I have my Nissan serviced there as they work on all makes and models and I would not trust anyone else with my car.

After having a bad experience with a large BMW certified dealer in the State of CT, I brought my Classic BMW 525i to the folks at "The European Car". First, I have to say that everyone that works at this place is just great! Bob is cool, Nancy is friendly and courteous, and both are genuine and honest people who respect how Car Buffs feel about their cars, and understand the level of service we expect.
And is it relates to mechanical expertise, Jeff the Master Technician really does know it "all", and he takes great pride in his craft and the work he performs. He truly sets the standard for skill, knowledge and professionalism in his field. All that being said, my 525i was returned to me in "perfect" running order at a very reasonable cost. No disappointments or surprises. I will be a customer of "The European Car" for life! ADP

The only good thing they have going for them is that their master mechanic is good. Owner does not keep his word and is disrespectful. Office receptionist is short and rude. I came upon the place because I recently purchased a car from someone who serviced their car there. I figured it would be good to go back and resolve the disclosed issues that the previous owner had with the car by people who knew the vehicle.
I was told one price going in for services, walked out $200+ over that after a part broke while they were doing service. Owner called me to tell me about the clamp that broke and that my car would not be ready but that they'd be picking up the cost on it. Was not the case when I got the invoice. They also charged me to re-diagnose the vehicle which they had already diagnosed for seller of vehicle.
They already charge close to dealer prices but nickel and dime you for everything else. When I questioned the charges they got defensive right away and when I explained what we originally agreed to, the owner implied I don't get paid enough to own the car they had repaired. All of this occurred right in front of my wife. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Poor customer service and just down right dramatic for no reason.
