Interesting that the owner states I attacked his appearance. I double checked my update and don't see where I have done so. Being clueless is a state of mind, not of appearance. I do make it a point nowadays to post and update reviews on a timely basis. It may have been 5 years, but facts do not change. As I stated in my update, this was "long overdue". My bad. I have been a long time patron of the business--going back to Denny Kahler's days. But no more, based on my experience.

Repaired convertible top motor and alignment. Good communication. Fair cost for repair. I recommend Kahler's for German auto service.

Went there yesterday to get some headlight bulbs swapped out. My first time at Kahler's. Sanders was great to work with and I am considering bringing both my Mercedes to Kahler's for service in the future.

Definitely my new go to shop! Started off my day headed to Manteca to check on some new property and stopped to get gas. After filling up my BMW (2002 525i) my car did not want to start whatsoever. I have some automotive knowledge but I could not figure out what was going on. Called for a tow to the nearest shop and Kahlers seemed like a good place to take my vehicle to since they specialize in German automotive. Had the car dropped off and they were nice enough to offer me a free shuttle to the mall. Got a call from the shop about an hour or so later and was told it was a failed fuel pump.

They told me my options and I went ahead and approved the work. They were done in no time and fixed the issue. Car has been GREAT since! I'm glad I found this place since it's not too far from home. The customer service is excellent and the work is worth every penny. Hands down one of the best experiences in my time as far as auto and customer service goes. Thanks Kahlers!

Update, I was able to fish out one of the safety belt buckles these folks had buried by removing the seat to get to the fuel pump but had to remove the entire seat bottom to get the other one out (see pictures)! Having worked in the service industry for over 30 years myself, I have learned that the reputable firms focus on providing quality service with reasonable transparent pricing while the others expend most of their energy coming up with excuses to cover up mistakes and hide behind deceptive pricing.

I am certain that these folks damaged the fuel pump on a car with less than 70K miles that had started, accelerated and run flawlessly until it was taken into their shop. They also quote high prices based on a computer program and not actual effort and then knocked off a little to claim discounts (e.g., quote 4 hours even if it takes 1 hour). Ask them next time you take your car here. I am sure this shop will come up with another excuse in response. Hopefully this review will help others avoid the nightmare I had to deal with!

I would avoid this place if you care about your car. These people are not proud of their work, and they don't care about customers. After getting an alignment done at this place, my car was pulling to one side and the steering wheel was not level. I called them and they blew me off saying that this was due to uneven tire wear, despite the tires being almost new.

I went to a different mechanic for another job and he noted that my car was pulling to the side. After showing him my alignment papers he informed me the alignment was "trash" and all they did was adjust the front toe. Anyway, now I have to get another alignment, and will probably need to replace my front tires. If Kahler's can't do the little jobs right, don't trust them with anything else. Update: I went to the Mercedes Benz dealership for an alignment.

They set my steering wheel straight and the car drives straight, which was not the case when I picked it up from Kahlers. If you want an alignment done right just go to the dealer.

Had a PPI done here to check on a classic Porsche. Did a thorough job and price was reasonable compared to other prices in my area. Nice to know a good mechanic in Northern California!

I usually do all of my own service work on my cars, I have been in Dublin for 25 years and drive past Kahler's almost every week. Getting older and not willing to do my own work, I dropped off my car and extremely happy I did. The guys at Kahler's gave me a fair estimate, took care of the warranty issues and fixed some other items that they found during diagnostics. Three days later my car is back and running like a champ. My 535i GT is happy and on the road again. You can trust your car is in good hands at Kahler's!

I called on a Monday morning for an appointment on Tuesday. they fit me in with no problems. Dropped my car off around 8:30am and got a call at 10:20am for pickup! If I would've went to Mercedes down the road, my car would've been there all day.

Great alternative to dealer service. Kahler's did a great job diagnosing and repairing my 335i xDrive. They diagnosed the same issues my dealership did, plus one more, and their prices were definitely less. They also diagnosed that I had 2 bent rims, something I didn't even know was wrong. If you own a German car, this is a great place to service it. Good prices, thorough service and friendly and helpful staff. I'll be back.

Brought my 911 in for front diff boot replacement. Raul was very responsive and professional. He ordered the parts the same day and had my car done in a reasonable time. Kept me updated via email which was much appreciated. Top notch service! Will definitely see him again for future needs. Kudos!

The OWNER and the SERVICE MANAGER, goes above and beyond. To make sure my car is done right. I don't usually write reviews (seriously). BUT IF YOU NEED THE PROBLEM FIXED. They will take card of it! And by some chance they couldn't figure it out. THEY WILL TAKE THE TIME TO RESEARCH it and then fix the problem. Just the way a business should be right? LIKE I SAID ABOVE AND BEYOND. spend extra time with your clients to make sure they understand and they're happy. They will keep coming back, FOLKS THERE IS A REASON THIS SHOP HAS A WAITING LIST. That's enough you get the point

The customer service here is the best I've had at any auto shop. I take my 2016 bmw 340i here for everything and save 50% from what the dealeslership tries to charge. They are passionate about german cars and it shows, just take one look at the parking lot. Now that I've found these guys I wouldn't think about taking my BMW anywhere else.

Today I was driving my audi s5 to San Jose and broke down just down the road from this shop. All I can say is that it was completely by chance and I'm happy I called them first. Never in my time of owning a vehicle have I been more impressed with the professionalism this shop displayed by any other place. They kept it honest with me from the second I spoke to them on the phone and as someone who works with people I appreciate that more than anything.

The car is being taken care of by them now and it feels good to have piece of mind knowing that these are the people working on my vehicle. I highly suggest you do business with them and their work ethic will prove to you that you are making the right decision by doing so!

This review is long overdue, but Kahler's Werkstatt absolutely deserves a 5-star rating. My car is lowered on custom suspension (the whole nine yards) and other alignment shops wouldn't touch it. Kahler's told me it would be no problem, and they got the alignment specs exactly as I requested.

Wow! Wish I knew about them sooner. We had a Porche in the garage for 3 years without driving it. (It was on a trickle charger). They looked it over, made a couple of suggestions and for less $500 the car is back to new! Drives great!

This is probably one of the few competent German shops in the bay area. My Audi S5 had a check engine light code P2019. Kahlers identified the problem and fixed it promptly. However the prices are the same as the dealerships! Back then it was roughly 20% less what happened? The main difference is that a dealership will tell you to replace the whole part, but Kahlers will find the culprit and fix it, this is probably what sets them apart! Raul offers A1 service, he's a great service manager.

Great, honest shop I have been using for many years for our BMW and Porsche maintenance. They also did some performance modification work on the 911 turbo. Highly recommended.

Top-notch, professional service providers that do what they and say what they do. I had a complex job for my 2012 C350 that took some in-depth work to fix. They were upstanding gentleman about the situation, even though it was very difficult.

Kahler's is a really friendly group of guys and a pretty good place to bring your BMW. I went there twice (one for alignment and one for a oil filter housing gasket leak fix). They provide a ride to and from local destinations which is really nice. Their prices are pretty competitive too. I only give 4 stars because when I inspected my engine after they fixed my gasket, I noticed that they didn't put back the air filter housing 100% correctly.

Not a huge issue but if you're the type of owner who is anal about that stuff then make sure to inspect it after. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this place!

I came here for an oil change for my Porsche Cayenne Hybrid and was satisfied with their work. I called ahead for an estimate and made an appointment. Raul was helpful and finished the job on time and no surprise cost. I waited for the job to be completed and he told me of a nice cafe across the street where I can hangout until the job was done. I recommend this place and will definitely use their services again in the future. This place is a great alternative to going to your local "stealership" I mean dealership.

I'm updating a previous review after another experience. I think integrity is the most important value in business and Kahler's demonstrated this quality by honoring promises and ensuring I was satisfied on my latest visit. They refunded the amount I complained about in my previous review. Of course quality work is also important but this has never been my complaint at this establishment.

They repaired an electrical issue that I would never have been able to resolve on my own and got me back into my car in a matter of days. I'm happy with Kahler's and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

This is the go-to place for BMW maintenance after your factory and extended warranties end. Great staff, reasonable prices, and quick turnaround times.

They seem fairly reasonable but if you're looking for a huge discount from dealer prices keep looking. Check Engine light came on and the Yelp reviews of Mercedes Benz Pleasanton yielded horrendous reviews. I had a smog pump put in my Mercedes SL55 here at Kahlers. The OEM Bosch's can be readily found for well under $400. This little gem with labor got me for $1500 ($750 for the air pump). I don't like having a Service Advisor and prefer to talk to my mechanic but Chet (the SA) is a decent guy.

The best place to have your vehicle worked on. Trust me, I've tried them all. Trustworthy, talented, and fair pricing. They do everything too which is nice. Just dropped my car off to have new rims and tires put on, 4-wheel alignment, and a smog. All done and ready for me in a day! Very convenient and even has a shuttle to take you back to home/work. As good as it gets!
