In 1981 and from humble beginnings, Steve created Steve's Mechanic Shop, which was almost exclusivley a diesal truck repair shop catering to customers in the Marysville area. One year later Steve had chosen to make Steve's Mechanic Shop into a general auto repair facility. After roughly 19 years in business, Steve had decided to take in a new employee in 2000, Vince Peterson.
With Tall Guy Small Guy Automotive, customers will find honest and reliable repair services for virtually any type of vehicle. Our head technicians, Steve and Vince, have been working on cars since 1981 and our entire team is factory trained and ASE certified to exercise their skill in the field of auto repair.

Top notch service. Thank you for last minute repair! Needed brakes and turned to google for nearby help non les schwab. Map showed.4 miles away so we rolled into his place greeted immediately in the yard and told he could get us fixed on the spot. Very reasonable rates. Great communication. Thank you so much!

All of the Employees here are very knowledgeable especially the owner he explained everything perfectly and was very patient dealing with the warranty company of my car thumbs up to this whole staff will definitely be returning again. I got My blower motor replaced they were very quick o. ce they had approval from the warranty

This was the first time I used them. They came highly recommended from a local auto parts store and they lived up to it. They got me scheduled quickly and got to my vehicle right away. I was impressed at how organized they were and how smoothly they ran their business. It was very busy yet they were right on top of things. Their being that busy also told me that they are a trusted business. The price quoted was the price I paid and they didn't try to sell me anything. I will definitely use them again.

If you go here do not expect any type of customer service, the "Tall guy" Vince, although has knowledge repairing planes and automobiles, he apparently does not have knowledge in how to treat his customers with proper manners. I would not recommend this shop in fact right down the street I got the same work done for a better price. Maybe "Small guy" should do the talking and just leave "Tall guy" in the back where nobody has to speak to him.
