I paid for a person to fix their vehicle because one of my employees bumped their back bumper and tail gate. This person chose to take it to Dave's Body Shop which I agreed would be fine. It took Dave's Body shop almost 2 months to fit this vehicle in to there schedule (they are busy, that is fine) but then it took them 2 full weeks to put the parts on and paint the back part of the car.

In my opinion and I have worked with many body shops for many years, this is excessive for the amount of work that was done. So after the full 2 weeks, Dave's Body shop delivered the car to the customer with the paint not matching as you can see in the picture. So they needed to keep the car for 1 WHOLE other week to fix their mistake while making us pay another $800 to extend the rental vehicle.

I called and left a message with the manager.no call back, so I called again the next day and they sent me to the estimator that basically told me "sorry" but they aren't willing to do anything to help compensate me for the additional money or for their inability to paint a car to match the other sides of the vehicle. I own 2 other businesses and I understand very well the difficult nature of always making customers happy but when my employees can't perform there job to what is promised and expected, I would never just say, "sorry" and leave them holding the bag to cover the expenses.

Terrible way to run a business! Update: I reached out to Ben, the general manager after seeing the response and he was very good to work with. After speaking with him, the actually finished the vehicle in 2 days rather the full week and the customer was the one that didn't pick it up. He reimbursed me half of the rental cost, which was fair. I appreciate Dave's stepping up and taking care of the situation. Thank you Ben.and the owner.

Sounds like some folks have had a very nice experience with Dave's, and that's wonderful. This was a while back, but since we're still talking about how things went, we thought we'd write something up. We can only speak to the experience we had: Pros 1. Seems like they do good work (no issues so far) 2. The systems/tech/processes they have in place to make for a smoother customer experience actually seem pretty good from what we experienced. Nicely done on both counts.

So good so far eh? Cons 1. Again - we can't speak for anyone else's experience - but their changes to estimates seemed unusual? We started at under $3000, went to around $5000, then just under $8000, then around $12,000. Then a month or two after we had our vehicle back, they contacted our insurer and indicated they had missed some billing. And the sweet lady managing our account at our insurance company somehow agreed to all of this.

So I guess it's partially on them for approving all this? But does that excuse it? In the end, the total cost was around $18000. We're actually fine with some updates to an initial estimate to a point. Ya know, you get in there and see that there was more damage under the panel than expected. But it does seem like you should: a) be able to do most of the estimates and figure out costs toward the beginning of the process and b) be much better at providing estimates that align with the final cost.

I think even the most sympathetic mechanics would tell you: you've done something wrong if it takes you over a month before you're done billing the client, and the cost delta is 600%. Just feels like they took advantage of an insurer. 2. While their mechanics seemed cool enough when we spoke to them and walked through some of the repairs. Some of the people at the front desk, just seemed, well, phony. Yup, it's subjective.

But some of them strike you as the kinds of people who spend a lot of time trashing others. 3. This one's minor, they used wire transfers sometime instead of credit card. I'm sure that saves them 3%. But feels like a mechanism to protect themselves from challenges or investigation by a credit card provider. Who knows, they will no doubt have some delightful explanations for all of this, and perfectly kind reasonable explanations for why they can't provide accurate estimates, and justification for over-billing.

We understand, you have a system for maximizing income when an insurer will put up with. Good on ya. Suggestions: 1. It's probably totally fine to come here if you have a great insurance company. 2. If everything goes smoothly, you'll probably love it 3. Hire some folks up front who are genuinely kind, and careful. Not for image, or perhaps because they're related to you. 4. Take it easy on extracting every single penny out of your customers, and the insurers, just because you can. The whole thing just makes me sad.

These guys are five star crooks. I took my car to them last year after getting into a fender bender. The bumper on my car was cracked. They had me drop my car off it sat in their parking lot for seven days. Meanwhile I was in a rental car. They told me that they couldn't start on my vehicle because their technician was sick. When I showed up to protest they just gave me the run around.

It took forever for the manager to talk with me. I asked then why they had me drop my car off if they were not ready for it, they did not give me a straight answer. The crack on the bumper cover was billed for almost $4K. The cost of the bumper was $300.00. Their cost was for labor. Theses are professional crooks. I would not take my car to them every again.

In November, our Tesla Model X was in a small accident in Heber, UT and the good people at the Tesla Service Center highly recommended Dave's Body Shop in West Jordon, UT for the repairs. The people at Dave's addressed our concerns and gave us an indepth tour of their repair shop and even though it was painful to hear, were honest with us concerning the approximate time they would need to keep her in order to properly repair our baby.

During disassembly, they discovered there was more damage than was estimated at the onset of the initial inspection. This caused a delay in the repair process we were happy to deal with. They updated us with photos every work day to help keep us informed. This was a nice addition to the services they rendered. Our contact person, Ellen, was very helpful and promptly returned any calls we made and seemed happy to answer any questions we had.

On our pickup date we were very pleased to find our car had been detailed inside and out. Thank you Dave's Body Shop and Ellen for all you did for us, and the outstanding job on our baby.

Highly recommend Dave's for Tesla repairs in Utah. I was kept up to date daily on progress throughout the whole process with photos sent each morning. Christina did a fantastic job answering questions, managing expectations, and providing timely updates when asked. The repairs are remarkable - honestly looks brand new and drives like the day I bought it. Thanks Christina and team!

Ben and his team are fantastic to work with and go above and beyond in helping. I was needing specific parts on my Tesla and he was able to assist and get me in the right direction. I highly recommend Dave's Body Shop and Ben.

I don't want to give these guys a bad review because I haven't actually used them yet! I'm sure they do great work, so 5 stars on the house, lol! I'm coming on to share a rather odd experience I had though trying to book an appointment for my car to be fixed. The front desk gal wasn't interested in listening to what my issue was, but was extremely adamant that they would absolutely be the most expensive shop to go to and that I may want to look elsewhere!

I thought that was so odd. She didn't have any follow up either by saying "We're expensive, but we do really high quality work!" She just made it sound like a super negative. I would've been willing to pay whatever honestly, but she made me feel like she was purposely trying to get me to go elsewhere. It made me super uncomfortable so I didn't even bother trying to schedule an appointment. I'm sure the business doesn't need a bad review for a desk gal, but it was a rather odd situation. Maybe she was a having a bad day!

Wow, it is amazing how good these guys are! I just bought my Tesla and 2 days later the snow storm hit and my door got ripped off. It was a horrible feeling. However, I jumped online to find out where to take the car and saw all the 5 star reviews and knew I needed to take it to Dave's. Talk about customer service. I am a Realtor and love communication and these guys are on the ball. Ellen would reach out to me almost daily and if not, she would respond to my texts very quickly.

They updated me daily with photos, even when there was not much progress as they were waiting for parts. I went in a week before the car was done and Ben took over an hour with me to talk and make me feel super comfortable and informed. Keep in mind this was a Friday and he took the time. It was awesome! I just got back the car and it looks amazing. So grateful for Dave's Body Shop and the time, attention to detail and customer service they provide. You would be crazy not to take your car to them. Truly grateful!

First, from a customer service standpoint, this body shop is amazing. They communicated excellently every step. Every member of the team that I came in personal contact with was super friendly and helpful with everything I needed. The shop is clean and you can tell by the little things that they have the customer experience in mind. I live over an hour away from here and brought my Tesla here after an accident based on the reviews that I read.

I am so happy I did. Their work and attention to detail were amazing. I've had bad experiences in the past with other body shops and was blown away by the professionalism and work of Dave's Body Shop. My Tesla now looks better than it did from the factory. You always hope that you don't have reason to have to use a body shop, but if I ever need one again, even living up in North Ogden, I'll come back here. Well done.

Dave's Auto got our electric car in for repair a week early to help us out in a pinch. They provided the replacement service for 33% less than the OEM service center, and they washed and detailed the car, which the OEM does not offer. They were very courteous and professional throughout the entire repair process. Service: Body & Trim

Daves did a great job on my Tesla repair! I wouldn't take my Tesla to any other shop I the Salt Lake Valley! Loved the daily photos and Nikki was great at keeping me informed of the progress.

Took my Tesla in for an estimate. Long story short, the estimator (name withheld) did more damage to the car while estimating. As you can imagine, things started to go south. Will stepped in to make things right. I have yet to have the repairs done, but I'll update this review when the car is repaired. Fingers crossed that the other strong reviews are right and it will be a good experience going forward.

Red alert, if you have a Tesla and are considering using Dave's Auto Body do not, I repeat do not take your Tesla to Dave's. My Model S was struck by a deer and needed body work and a new charging port. Unfortunately the Tesla service center in Salt Lake City does not offer body work so they directed me to one of their authorized repair shops. Dave's or Ken Garff.

Being a conscious consumer I would rather support the small local body shop vs. the larger car dealer. Big mistake. I took my car in early January to get a quote, was helped by Jonathan. Explained the situation and what work needed to be done. Side panel and charge port. Took notes and contacted the insurance company. Never heard back from Jonathan, was called by Niki and informed that the earliest I could bring my car in was February 3rd. Dropped my car off on February 3rd expecting the job to be done within a week or so. Again, another big mistake.

I picked up my car yesterday on March 4th and was told they could not fix the charge port because it was not part of the accident. However, the charge port was working fine before the accident and stopped working after. All in all a terrible experience. Dave's took over one month for a simple panel fix and didn't fix the main problem which was my charge port.

Currently working with Tesla on the charge port since Dave's was not willing to assist. Again, if your are a Tesla owner do not take your car to Dave's. I cannot comment on the quality of work or service you would get at Ken Garff but based off my my experience with Dave's you would have better luck with Ken Garff.

This is just a preliminary review as my vehicle is still being repaired, but so far this place has been amazing. I've gotten calls every other day to update me on the repair process as well as an automated system that I can easily go into to see the progress. They are going out of their way to try and speed up the process and make sure I'm informed of how things are going.

I have never had a car repaired and gotten this level of service and information from the shop! I will follow up when I get the vehicle back. Update: unfortunately insurance decided to undervalue my car and total it, so I didn't get to see the work Dave's did but they were super helpful through the whole process and always kept me informed on changes. I will definitely go back here should I ever need body work in the future

Dave's Body Shop was a great overall experience. I hit some road debris on I-15 and put some serious scratches on my new car. They were easy to work with, kept me up to date on the progress and went the extra mile to help me out after they had already delivered my car back to me. A temperature sensor in an unrelated area from the damage was not functioning properly and they went the extra mile to help diagnose the issue. The body work and paint are flawless. Like it never happened. I would highly recommend them, especially for Tesla owners.

This place came highly recommended by my dealership, but unfortunately fell far short of acceptable. Terrible, terrible, inconsiderate place. After waiting three weeks for my car, I finally go to pick it up and they tried adding $180 dollars cause I was paying with a credit card. I had already dropped my rental car off and had gotten a ride to their shop, so I was stuck there.

I had the exact amount, almost $4000 dollars on my card, but didn't have the unexpected extra $180. They wouldn't help me out. Super inconsiderate. They left me without my much needed car. I have four kids that need to go places and I already returned the rental. I would caution anyone looking to get their car fixed. There are plenty of other places that wouldn't try and add fees for using cards or leave families without a car.

I come here at 12:30 the place is closed for lunch? What kind of business is closed for lunch in the middle of the week? LOL this place is a joke I don't even know why I even bother coming back but anyway I did come back and they said it will be another week until they can give me an estimate on the car? that is hilarious I'll take my business elsewhere sincerely Larry h Miller collision will get that thing estimated in 5 minutes please do not go to this body shop these guys always are full of excuses and weird.

I had a bid done a few weeks ago by Kenny for my car to be fixed after it was scratched in the car wash. The entire body would need buffed, and the roof needed some paint work. When I took the bid in to the car wash that will be paying for it, the manager informed me that he had never seen a bid so high and asked that I get one more bid. I did, and received a bid that was more than 3x less than the bid from Dave's. Having seen work that was done there, I still wanted to use them for the paint work and have the buffing done somewhere else.

I called the cell phone number on the card of the person who did my bid and left a message for him, asking if I could please have a different bid for just the paint work so that I could turn it in. During my message I was cut off, so rather than call right back, I emailed him. Two days later, on Thursday, I called again after I hadn't heard back or been sent the new bid, and was told that the girl answering the phone had told him to call me, but they were super busy and probably wouldn't get around to it until Monday. Monday came and went and I tried calling again, with no response.

I emailed again yesterday and have waited all day today, a week after my initial phone call, again with no response. I have even offered to make another appointment for a whole new bid so that I could get this process moving along. At this point I feel like they must not need business too bad and I'm basically begging them to charge me way too much money. I am very very disappointed and will let people know to save their time and steer clear of Dave's.

These guys are total scumbags, I took my vehicle for repair, within few hours after the tow truck dropping the car off, they bypassed my insurance and email me picture of some dents that were never impacted during the accident. Fortunately we have pictures after the accidents at the exact spot showing the dent. I notified my insurance about this news, and my insurance agent acknowledged they have some bad reps among his agent peers since the son took over the shop after the father passed away. Regrettably after wasting a day without any work being done to rearrange sending another tow truck to move another my car to a more trustworthy body shop.

I guess the best part was the lady on the phone sounded nice when I called to release the car to relocate to the next body shop. At the end of my claim, I noticed they still got paid for that one day of not doing anything by the insurance. Never will use these guys again.

Found out later that I got charged double what I should have paid! Sure, they fixed the problem after my daughter tore of the bumper. It Iooked great. But when another daughter did the same thing a couple of years later I was surprised to find a reputable shop that did it for under half of what Dave's Body Shop charged me. My advice: Shop around, look at the Yelp and other reviews and make a better choice. This big names are not the only game in town!

I took my car in for some paint repair which had occurred over the years along one side. I received an estimate which I believed to include ALL paint repairs on the one side however when I received the car back there was still one scrape (down to the car metal) remaining. I was quite disappointed thinking they had perhaps damaged the new paint when reassembling.

I contacted them and said I wanted to bring the car back in and have them fix it. I was told the paint damage had always been there and they had not included it on the original estimate. First, I was told the repair would take one week and it ran over that time frame, no problem, I understood. Second, when I made the call after picking up my car I did not receive a return call and had to call back the next day. Third, why would I want to spend money to repair all of the paint with one exception.

Even if it had not been on the original estimate, when someone saw that, would they not think to call me and question it? I apparently should have gone over the estimate with a fine tooth comb to ensure they were doing what I had requested. The work that was done was excellent but I must now take the time to return the car (to another shop) to finish what I thought was being done in the first place. Not a big fan.

Dave's body shop has really great in person interactions. They make you feel confident in your car's timely repair & make you feel like your situation is going to be handled with care. Everything with my car was better than new and I was happy with my repairs. Here is my issue though. & I was not impressed with a few dealings on their end.

Prior to turning in my keys, i recognized that i had a few bags in my trunk. Full of clothing items. I was in the middle of a move and had several jackets, clothing items, shoes, ETC in my trunk. I asked the man who was taking my keys if i should take the bags out of the car & move them into the rental. I think he was overwhelmed by how much was in there.

He just assured me that it wasn't going to be a problem and told me that i could just leave everything in there. Well. I didn't think it was going to be a problem either, nor did i expect it to take nearly 47 days for me to get my car back. I couldn't believe it. When i finally received my car back. the bags that i had in my trunk had been "misplaced" and my jackets had been misplaced as well.

They even had before and after photos of the contents of my trunk and still discontinued to do anything about it. They said that they distinctly tell their customers to remove their personal belongings from the vehicle. and were not held accountable. Truthfully, it was just a really disheartening experience knowing that the owners weren't willing to do anything about it.

Nor were they willing to do any digging further than the incident happening. Especially when there were documented photos. I trust their work. but the integrity of the employees? I dunno. i am still a little bitter.

Dave's Body shop technicians do awesome work. Unfortunately their customer service is terrible. Though they offered automatic updates via text or email, that I requested, I never received any. When I called (6 times), the service advisor/estimator never had any updates and always said he would call back. He only called back once.

Horrible experience! Offensive staff! Some of the worst customer service that I have ever experienced! The whole time I dealt with Dave's, I was kind and positive. I brought my vehicle in for a quote (referenced by my insurance agent). I was told that I needed an appointment, and that they couldn't get to me until the next week. I came for the appointment, the vehicle was estimated, and they told me that they would get back with me. THEY NEVER CALLED ME I called my insurance agent, they called Dave's and asked them to call me with status.

I never heard back. This was several weeks from my first visit. I drove back to Dave's and was told by an agent to bring my vehicle in the next week for repair. I arrived at the specified time, and dropped off my vehicle for repair. A few hours later, I received a call from Dave's (first time they called me), and I was chewed out for bringing my vehicle in.

I was told that I did not have an appointment. I explained that the agent that I talked to told me to bring my vehicle in that day, and that I considered that to be an appointment. I was informed that it was not by the person who called me. I was told that they would not be able to get to my vehicle for several weeks, and that they were already 60 vehicles behind (ahead of me).

The person also said, "I probably ought to shut my doors for a while". - actually I agree, you should shut your doors. I went back that night and got the keys to my vehicle, I didn't say anything else other than I was told that they could not get to my repair, and that I was there to pick up my vehicle. I drove to Service King (Collision Center) in Draper (this was Monday night).

They met me in the parking lot, estimated my vehicle, talked about options, got my insurance information, and told me to bring my vehicle back the next morning (Tuesday). Tuesday morning, I brought my vehicle in to Service King, and they asked if I needed a ride to work. Almost every day I would receive a call from their agent telling me the status and answering questions.

On Friday of that same week, the repairs were complete, and I picked up my vehicle. They were kind, considerate, and very professional. The repairs and the paint matching were absolutely fantastic. You can't tell that there every was any damage. BTW, I called Dave's the day that I took my vehicle to Service King. I let them know that I would no longer need their services.

They informed me that they had already canceled my repair ticket. I asked them why, and indicated that I had not asked them to cancel my repair ticket. They told me that they "assumed" when I picked up my vehicle that they should cancel my repair ticket. I did not ask them to cancel the ticket, or gave them any indication that I was going somewhere else. Summary: DO NOT GO TO DAVE'S, unless you enjoy abuse and poor customer service.

We dropped off our 2010 Nissan Alitma here after being rear ended. They did an awesome job making sure that not only the visable damage was repaired but made sure that the alignment was correct and fram was in specifications. I really liked how they emailed pictures every day keeping me up to date on the status of the car and the repairs. The repairs were very high quality and I will definitely continue to use them with future repair needs.

I recently had my 2014 MINI cooper repaired at Dave's due to severe damage to the left front of the vehicle. Following the repairs I was extremely impressed with the overall condition and quality. They did a great job of keeping me in the loop and really put a lot of pride in their work. Seeing the finished product removed all of the dread that had been caused by the accident. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of automotive collision repairs.

I was referred here by my insurance company after a small accident. Everyone at the body shop was really nice and helpful, and was quick to help us get a quote and schedule the repair. The work was finished and everything looked really great and I have not had any problems since. I am only giving them four stars because we were told the car would be finished by Wednesday at the latest, but it wasn't finished until Friday evening.

This wouldn't be a big deal, but no one from the shop bothered to call and give an update, and let me know it would take longer, so on Thursday I called and had to ask. The location is very convenient and there is a enterprise rental right next door. They also have snacks and drinks available for free while you wait.

Dave's Body Shop is a really great body shop. They have the best customer service I have ever experienced at a body shop. Their customer service guy Daniel is so nice and professional. They will help you with anything that you need and answer any question you have. I recently crashed my car on some ice and took it there to get repaired. It was done quickly even though they had to order the parts from out-of-state. Anytime I had a question Daniel always called me back right away. I have worked with some really horrible body shops for prior accidents and Dave's Shop is just the opposite. You should definitely take your car here!

After a minor accident my radiator needed replacing, I was referred to Daves by the Insurance company. Daves replaced the Radiator, after the repairs the check engine light came on, took the car to Auto Zone had them pull the codes, 2 codes 1 thermostat 1 Fan Circuit relay. Called Dave's to have them take a look. Was told its not there problem call a mechanic, and your insurance company.

After speaking with several Mechanics and having them do a Diag they agreed both issues were directly related to the replacement of the Radiator. I mean why would the mechanics shops lie it would mean more business for these mechanics. After several calls to Daves, the insurance company eventually got the car back to Daves. Daves told me they were going to send it to the dealer for repairs. 2 days later, no dealer and all Daves did was replace the thermostat.!@#$ Really I could replaced the thermostat in about an hour If someone gets errors related to the parts you just worked on you should at least have them bring the vehicle in and have it looked at not just pass the buck. Avoid Daves a Radiator is standard stuff and they screwed that up.

10 STARS! Dave's is the only place I would ever trust any of my families vehicles to. These guys are totally awesome, honest, upfront and extremely accommodating. I really can't express enough gratitude for the guys, they never cease to amaze me. They go above and beyond every time I talk to them. Will recommend to anybody that cares about the safety and well being of their family and that is looking for an honest car shop! Keep it up Alex!

Zero stars! Manager said shop would cover car rental and didn't. Enterprise back charged my AMEX entire amount 4 months later. Amex dispute proved futile and I was obligated to pay entire amount. Better to find a car shop that will hold true to their word at the surface rather than find surprises underneath down the road.
