Five stars? If I could give them 10, I would. I was in the market for a reasonably priced 2nd car, found what looked like a decent vehicle and picked Auto Tech out of the internet. I could not have found a better, more professional and reasonably priced shop. I live several hours away, so they had no 'skin in the game' other than their reputation.

If I ever have occasion to need a shop in Lexington, they are it. It turned out the vehicle was not good and I did not want to appear on Judge Judy, a victim as she puts it, of puffing. Auto Tech saved me from that misery and it appeared that the vehicle would probably not have even made it to my home. so, there is nothing more to say than THANK YOU AUTO TECH!

Brought in my car after it puked all of the coolant all over the interstate. Thought it would be an easy fix. Nope. Turned out it was a blown head gasket! They were very forthcoming with the fact that it would be a very costly repair. They even suggested a couple shops that would be able to replace the engine. Fast forward over the weekend. I found a vehicle that had been sitting for two years outside. Brought it in and they gave it a thorough inspection (with pics)and a fair price for the work that needed to be done. I've found my shop and will recommend that everyone take their car there!

Had my car tolled to them yesterday after it broke down. The owner called to tell me they were busy and might not be able to get to see what the issue is until Friday. But they called first thing this morning and told me apprx estimate amount and that they would have ready today. The car got repaired and the owner even came and picked me up. They are fair and trust worthy and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They are honest. I was told I needed almost $6,000 worth of work on 2012 Impala, someone told me not to trust that estimate take it to Auto Tech. Auto Tech told me, the only thing that was needed was struts, thats it! If you don't want to be ripped off go to those guys. They will be honest and tell you the truth.

On 09/03/2020 my check engine light came on while driving to work. I scheduled an appointment for Friday morning the day before labor day weekend. Auto Tech Services went out of their way to get the repair done that day (and it was a major repair). Getting the job done that day saved me hundreds of dollars in rental car fees as they were going to be closed until that following Tuesday due to the holiday. And the repair was done right the first time. Great Service. Great People. I definitely recommend Auto Tech Service.

I had a terrible noise from my brakes and was told at another shop there were very expensive problems. Auto Tech inspected and repaired my brakes quickly and at a "much" less expensive price and the problem was not as horrible as I was lead to believe from the other repair shop. The Service Advisors were knowledgeable and the price I was given was exactly what I was told. I would recommend Auto Tech and they have earned my business!

Came in with charging issues and left with a new battery and still had charging issues. Very fast turnaround on battery testing and replacement, however. Update: The owner called me and said that my review is unfair, needed to grow up, delete it, and that he was going to contact his attorney. I went mudding and fried the alternator of my truck. Towed it home and spent all Labor Day changing the alternator. At the end of the day, the battery had 11.2 volts at idle, so I gave up and had AAA tow it to the nearest repair shop: auto tech. Auto tech called the next day and they recommended that I change out my 5 year battery and do further testing on the charging system.

On my way back home from picking it up, the battery voltage gauge was looking really low so I went ahead and drove to AutoZone. They did a test on my battery and their meter said voltage was too low to test alternator 12.4V. So we revved up the engine and the test returned bad diodes. I bought a new alternator and installed it at home 13.7V. I left Autotech a two star review because they missed diagnosed my charging issue but I didn't mind to pay $200 for them to change out my battery. Update 2: I read auto tech's response and it is truthful. They are an honest repair shop and if you have the time to call back and return your car for them to fix, you should do so.

Being new to town, we were not sure where to take our daughter's car when it "died." After reading reviews, we decided to have it towed to Auto Tech Services. Well, they have most certainly earned their excellent ratings! We found them to be honest and fair. The communication throughout the diagnostics process was excellent. It turned out to be a minor issue-thankfully! We are happy the car is fixed and happy we have found a garage we can trust in Lexington!

The friendliest and most professional auto repair shop I've ever been to. I went there because I needed custom brake lines since the Subaru dealer no longer could get parts for my ancient car. Auto Tech Service was directly recommended by the dealer, and they accepted my towed car without me present and they gave me a fair price for the repair. It quite honestly was more than the car was worth, so I declined the service, but they were willing to let me have a salvage yard pick up my car from their lot and they even notarized my signature on the title! Not bad, considering I declined their service. I know I am taking my next car here for service.

Honest competent and very accommodating. A tow truck driver told me it's the best shop in Lexington - and I agree. I trust them completely. Auto Tech will not try to sell you a service you don't need. They take care of older cars.

I would highly reccomend Auto Tech Service 100%. They were excellent in their service from the time I got there to the time I left. They found a safety issue with my newly bought vehicle and I was very appreciative. I returned my vehicle to the dealer and my money was refunded. I will travel an hour to get my new vehicle serviced there, when I purchase another one. I appreciate their honesty and the extra time they took taking pictures and documenting the issue. They were great!

I am meticulous in the care of my car as I drive it out of state weekly and depend on it. I am only home on weekends and only able therefore to get my car serviced on Friday, so my time is at a premium. Auto Tech is not the cheapest provider, but I am willing to pay their prices because I trust them to do solid work. And they do still do solid work. Having said that, I've sensed that something has changed within the organization. It's in the little things.

I had scheduled a transmission fluid drain/fill to be done yesterday along with two other routine tasks. I called the week before to confirm what I had scheduled so that all necessary parts would be on hand and there would be no problems/delays. Despite this, I was told after I arrived yesterday that the drain/fill could not be completed because they did not have the tools/knowledge necessary.

Keep in mind that the drive for me to this business is 48 minutes each way, as I live outside of Lexington. The staff was apologetic for the inconvenience, and I was gracious, but I have to say that I have seriously begun to question the ability of this provider to meet my needs, especially considering the long drive and premium prices. The staff took steps to reach out to a dealer (on my behalf) who could perform the service, but the number they gave me for the dealer when I left wasn't correct. Net/net, I had to find an alternate provider on my own who is much closer to home and, I believe, more competent and knowledgable.

Best auto service place ever! They have twice squeezed me in last minute, which I appreciate. I brought in a used car I was thinking about purchasing for an inspection. It was supposed to cost $179. The tech shortly found a potentially major problem with the vehicle and asked me if I wanted him to continue. I said no need and they only charged me $50. Best money I've ever spent. Can't say enough, I love this place!

I had my brake pads replaced as well as a radiator belt and he did it at 2/3 the price of other shops I've gotten estimates from.

I took my Honda Accord here when I was in Lexington visiting family. There was an issue with one of my tires that none of my regular repair shops could fix. I did not want to go back on to I75 with the tire like that so I took it in for service. I was really surprised by how fast they were. They fixed it almost immediately and I was on my way. I'm glad I took my car there. Thanks!

Had steering belt repaired on Toyota Camry. They gave me a great price and did an excellent job. Also, we left Ray-Ban sunglasses and a change purse in the car and nothing was touched. They are extremely honest and fair. If I could give these guys 10 stars, I would.

Was quickly scheduled, diagnosed and repaired in half a day! And AS ADVERTISED, NO work done UNTIL I was called and consulted before doing it (as it should be at ANY shop!) Thanks for the ride to work, Robert! Last week (July 2016) I took in a used vehicle we were considering purchasing to take advantage of the "Before You Buy Auto Inspections" service that Auto Tech offers.

They gave it the "fine tooth comb" treatment and gave a detailed report of everything that "passed" and things that did not. I was able to use those items that were "wanting" in an otherwise good vehicle in my negotiations! Worth every penny!

Great service, great mechanics and even better customer service. I took my mitsubishi Eclipse gst that's basically a race car up to them and they had it running like a dream within 2 days. They even got the parts for cheaper then I could for me. I highly highly recommend this shop. They are kind of pricey But they are one of the best shops in lexington. I don't take my car anywhere else!

Fantastic service. Personable, honest and very knowledgeable staff, more than willing to go out of their way to help resolve your auto issues. They have a drop-off box for your keys if you need to leave your car before they arrive in the morning, and they will gladly give you a ride to work and pick you up when your car is ready. They open at 7:30 AM, which is very much appreciated by a night-shifter like myself and they are always very accommodating about getting my car in quickly and getting me on my way before too much daylight has passed! Wouldn't think of taking my car anywhere else in town!

I went there and had the headlight restoration. It was quick and at at good price. Made a big improvement. my headlights look like new. Can not comment on other services offered there.

Have used them for 5-6 years now. Very knowledgeable and great staff. They work hard to find the true cause of your problems, and don't use a shotgun approach. Unfortunately, they have gotten more expensive over the last few years. However, much better than most service organizations in Lexington.
