They go above and beyond to ensure outstanding customer service and I always feel like I'm in very trustworthy hands. Their prices are fair & reasonable and they're able to perform maintenance on my import for a fraction of the price that the dealership charges. If you're looking for a stress-free, pleasant experience, I highly recommend A-1.

The owners and staff are wonderful. They are friendly and treat you like family. I am always reminded to say hello to my relatives by the owner. Wow! This shop knows how to be a service center. Early morning and late night drop off available. My vehicle with 265k+ miles was teetering on the end of useful life until Dave, and Chris and Brandon came to my rescue. Everything was explained in advance and the quote for the work was a tough pill to swallow. The transmission flush and new part along with A-1 Auto's excellent mechanics fixed my transmission and allows me to keep my Mercedes for another many thousand miles. I'm so happy that A-1 was recommended to me and I recommend them to you.

Caveat emptor if you are not a local. [Note: that the original review I put up in October of 2018 was reported as fake, had to re post, guess that explains their high rating][Based on their passive aggressive / dog whistle response below maybe the dude that worked on my car did it on the side, shady in its own right] While passing through the area had my water pump blow out, and this place came highly recommended.

They did the job quickly and the cost for labor was very reasonable. A few dozen miles after picking up my car I started hearing a nasty squeak, called them up and was told that it was fine, the belt was just brand new. By the time I got back home the squeaking was non stop and far louder. My mechanic had a look: 1) I paid for a brand new water pump, and they had installed a refurbished unit 2) They had completely destroyed the tensioner pulley and the whole assembly needed to be replaced My guy called the damage a rookie mistake caused by using the wrong tools. The cost to fix their handy work was more then their job.

New to Hobe Sound area, found A1 Auto Care and would totally recommend taking your vehicle here for any issues. Will be returning next time I have any issues with any current or future vehicle. I have a 1962 Austin Healey Sprite that needed a new water pump and new motor mounts. As the mechanic for my own car for the past 37 years, I needed to find a shop that I trusted, because I did not have a lift to do this work. Many friends had recommended A-! Auto and I am glad I took my car there. They did an excellent job and knew what they were doing-- never a doubt. Everyone was so wonderful to work with as if you were dealing with a family member who owned a business. It is so nice to see shops like this still exist.

These guys are great. We got caught in Monday's storm waters on A1A and had some poorly installed parts come loose from the high waters on my MINI Cooper. They got me in, got the parts not only back in place, but did the install better than the original. They were very friendly, very professional, and were not interested in taking advantage of us. More shops should be this awesome.

I work at a local auto body shop in Hobe Sound and we use A1 Auto Care a lot for mechanical repairs for our clients. They are amazing at service, fair with price and honest about what is wrong. Any make or model we trust them and they are excellent.

I do a lot of my own work but when the job is too big for the driveway- this family owned company is my first choice. I recommend them as they're the only guys I trust to do the job right the first time.

These guys are amazing~ they listened to what was going on and my goal in terms of the result I needed, quickly assessed and fixed the issue in two hours at a cost that was far less than what I was anticipating. Brendon and Phillip (and Mike?) were extremely friendly and professional~ this is the go to shop for me now and I'm pretty particular about my mechanics / shop. Definitely recommend~

I discovered A-1 shortly after we moved down from Indiana. We had and valued our neighborhood mechanic there and I was pretty angst filled about finding a mechanic for us here that we could trust. I needed have worried. When I first visited to have our car looked over before a long trip Dave and Brandon greeted me as if I were part of a family. [I brought in a 1999 Toyota Camry with 200,000+ miles on it.

We turned it in last year with 311,000 miles on it and I attribute that last 111,000 miles to the excellent care that we received at A-1.] What made me breath a sigh of relief on that first visit was the dreaded appearance of the owner a half hour into service. You know the "Sorry to tell you but you need." moment. Nope. "Bob, all is fine. Your rear tire tread is little worn but you won't need replacement until your next oil change." And he was right and I found my mechanic. All work is terrific and I couldn't be more pleased. This is the best car service in the area.

Everyone at A1 Auto Care appears to care about me and my vehicle. I usually wait in the waiting room and they keep me updated about what is going on with my vehicle. They feel like family. I have never had to go back for the same thing, except oil changes.

The entire staff love what they do and that is reflected back on how they take care of you. Very detailed, knowledgeable, professional, and open to any questions no matter how big is small. They do fantastic work and do it right the first time. They are now my current automotive home for all my automotive needs.

I am always satisfied with their work and their attitude. I would highly recommend them.

There's not enough words to describe how amazing this place and the employees are. The owner Dave was really welcoming and genuinely nice when my husband & I took both of our cars there for the very first time. They are very knowledgeable and accommodating regarding affordable prices. We are extremely happy with their service. Both of our cars are running excellent thanks to them. Don't go anywhere else.

Hands down the most efficient, knowledgeable and most importantly, affordable mechanics that I have come across since moving to Florida. We were fed up with the high prices and poor diagnostic ability of our Mercedes Benz dealership and began coming here. This was the best decision we have ever made regarding our vehicles. Not only did A1 get our long term problem diagnosed correctly, they literally saved us over $1,000 by fixing the cause of the problem instead of replacing expensive, unnecessary parts that Mercedes was telling us needed replacing.
