We were referred to earlington because we thought we needed a new transmission, but after their diagnostic of the car, it turns out we needed a catalytic converter instead. We saved a lot of money because earlington took the time to carefully look at what was causing the issues in our Kia Forte. They were polite and called with updates on the car periodically. We are very thankful for their service and will definitely be returning to them with any other car issues! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Never fun to need a transmission rebuilt but they made it a positive experience with their experience and customer service. They explained everything every step of the way and called me when they found additional repairs that needed to be made to make sure I was okay with the change to my original quote. It was something that couldn't be seen until they pulled my transmission out. They were very helpful with the payment/credit process. They got me in quickly and got my car back to me quickly and it was fixed like they promised. Highly recommend.

Earlington was able to get my truck in as soon as I called after I lost all transmission function in my 99 f250. Ryan quickly got back to me after diagnosing that I needed a full rebuild (not surprised after 320k miles). They got on the job and quickly had my truck wrapped up and inspected it. So far it shifts beautifully and I'm excited to hook back to the trailer after break in and have no concerns with my transmission. Thanks again Ryan and the rest of the Earlington crew!

I had a fantastic experience at Earlington! I knew I had transmission issues starting with my truck, and Tri-County twice told me my truck was fine after charging me $200. So I researched various transmission repair shops near me and Earlington stuck out of the pack with great reviews. Not only was Tom excellent with his customer service, but the team helped fix my issues and a few others that popped up due to the trucks age. Highly recommend to anyone reading this!

Brought in my high mileage 2016 Ford F-150 after several friends highly recommended Earlington. Truck was purchased this way last year and runs great though every once in a while it'll screech between gear. Transmission was checked and serviced at a very reasonable price, and it's been over 3 months with NO issues. Would most definitely recommend and use Earlington in the future.

5 stars isn't enough (5+++++) The first time I had a used Earlington for a repair was recently, I had thought I had needed a new transmission, however the professionals at ET (Earlington Transmission) Diagnosed my issue as a faulty U Joint; instead of costing me thousands, it ended up only being a few hundred. While this is great news for me, what is even more impressive was the time, care and follow up they did to ensure my satisfaction (Something rarely seen today) Dan and his team did the work on my Jeep, and the vehicle feels like it did when it was new.
But what really impressed me was that I received a text a few days later asking me how the car was doing and was I satisfied; (Service after the sale is so important) I would definitely recommend the ET for any car repairs that are needed. It a great feeling to know that there is a shop in this area that you can trust to be honest and affordable. Thank You, Dan and ET, you'll definitely have my business in the future!

Dropped vehicle off to have the tranny checked out. Was called back and told he was prepping me for sticker shock and that it could cost up to $6500! He mentioned problems that I didn't even have that he'd fix while it was there. All this based on a single test drive where he seemed to forget where reverse was cause he said since it was next to first it likely needed work too and he felt it was going. It's not going.
It works fine snd reverse is next to sixth gear, not first. He also kept mentioning his supplier recommended doing reverse based on what they sell in parts and a new clutch which is fine too. I felt like he was phishing to see what I could pay. I called three other shops and not a single one was over $3500 worst case scenario and they all offered warrantees. I picked my car up same day.

I believe in the 'shout-out' when people are professional and things are done properly. As a past Master Tech myself, I was impressed by how collaborative these folks were. Had a transmission fail in my late model Toyota Corolla and it had me in a real pickle due to my travel schedule. They were prompt, attentive and upon inspecting the completed job, I could see that everything was back in place as it should be. Great work and I absolutely recommend this shop!

It's been about 2 yrs since I had my transmission rebuilt by Earlington Transmission. My car is running strong, I hope to get many more miles from my Impala. It was a good choice to repair the trans. The guys at Earlington are very knowledgeable and had my car in and out in a few days. Earlington stands by their work and offer a warranty to back it up.

Cannot say enough good things about Earlington. Dan and Tom in the office are outstanding. I would not consider taking my truck anywhere else. They give estimates up front and have always come in within range. They will also let you know if things might pop up once they get in there and will call before proceeding if that happens. Communication skills are excellent which is great as no one likes surprises.
Although they are a transmission shop, they do general automotive repairs and inspections too. I was referred to them a few years back by another shop who could not do something and am grateful for the recommendation. You cannot go wrong with Earlington!

The Short: I am pleased with the end product, but feel the service could have been better. The Long: I've taken here my car twice now. The first time was because I was having trouble with my clutch pedal getting stuck so I went to Earlington based on good online reviews and a recommendation from another trusted mechanic. I ended up needing to have the clutch replaced, which wasn't surprising as it had a lot of miles on it. Costs to replace it seemed reasonable, and they even allowed me to use a 10% off coupon that I had even though the coupon was supposed to be for auto-transmissions only.
Overall I was satisfied with experience. A month later my shifter developed a rattle at higher rpms that sounded like metal vibrating against metal. I thought it sounded like something was loose, so I took it back to Earlington to have it checked out. Turned out the shifter bushings were bad and needed to be replaced. This was not do to poor installation of the clutch or anything, just wear and tear. Again, not surprising given the miles on the clutch, but I just had the car in there a month prior; I would think a good mechanic should have have realized they needed to be replaced and done it then, and saved me 40mins of driving (20min each way).
Even the guy when I was paying said they probably should have caught that when the car was in there before, but it didn't stop him from charging me for the 1/2 hr of labor @ $85/hr. Additionally, I needed my oil changed so I asked them to do it since I had to drop the car off there anyway. Ended up costing me $47.97 which just seemed a bit steep to me. (That was for oil, oil filter, and 1/2 gal of washer fluid)
