Wally the owner is exceptional. He was super busy but still found time to help me. Tho my Eco diesel was a first for his shop, he still went above and beyond in my estimation. That speaks volumes to me. Thank u again Wally. If u need work done.go see him. He is honest, a good thing in these times. The shop was booked out to far to dig further into the issues, I took my truck elsewhere. But I will definitely seek his services again if needed.

Don't bother bringing a modern diesel here. The owners son, knowing more about diesels than the owner himself, assured me he could diagnose my fuel-related starting issue because he had "friends in the area" who knew about diesels as well. The diagnostic plan he came up with since he didn't have the proper equipment was to replace one injector at a time, and then the high pressure pump if the injectors didn't fix it.
That was a possible $5K guessing game and I'm glad I didn't play along because a real mechanic showed right away that the high pressure pump was indeed the culprit, saving me over $2500 in parts and labor.

It has always been a pleasure to take my vehicles to Dallas Automotive Service. I have brought two of my cars as well as my truck to Wally and Kyle for many years. They've fixed problems that other mechanics couldn't and they always do a great job of explaining the problem. I never have any surprises on my bill, and if they discover something new as they are digging into my engine, they call me and ask my permission before they proceed with the repairs. I have taken my car in to see Wally & Kyle, and let me tell you, I DO NOT REGRET IT. They did a wonderful job & unlike some mechanics I have experienced, they were very cost effective, did not take days or weeks to discover/ fix the issue, & most importantly, HONEST! They have always been incredibly polite & honest with me. Dallas Automotive cares about its customers & truly has their best interest in heart!
