Guthriesville Tire & Service

Not trustworthy, they charge a "re-inspection" fee if you get your safety inspection work done elsewhere which is not legal in PA. As long as you get it back to them within 30 days you are supposed to pay once for an inspection. Makes me question if the work suggested was really needed as well.

Just had tires placed on new wheels and balanced. Had them back by the next day.

I had an emergency with my brake system and Guthriesville Tire was able to quickly diagnose and resolve the problem, working me into their schedule on short notice. Great shop. Great team. Wouldn't use any others.

We are long time customers of Guthriesville Tire and Service. Both of our cars have been serviced here since their purchase. We have always felt that we are in good hands. Repairs that are needed have been explained fully and there has never been an issue with scheduling an appointment. Recently, while the car was being inspected, some additional work was recommended as the car was to be traveling to Florida.

I appreciate this as it gives us a sense of security. I had to unload the trunk to do a check of the battery and spare tire and they even reloaded the trunk for me. That was above and beyond what was expected and totally appreciated.

I took a delivery of trees from Newville the whole way out here, only to discover that a tire on my trailer had blown. They looked at it, and told me that two of my other tires barely had enough tread (which I know was true). So they replaced all four tires, and gave me the good tire. When the guy opened the truck door he heard the hinges squeak, so he promptly grabbed some WD-40 and fixed that too. I give these folks a Triple A+ rating: A+ on service, A+ on being over-the-top, and A+ for being knowledgeable.

Dennis and his team do first-rate work and always come through. I trust his shop and know that he is looking out for my family and me. Going beyond the call on my last visit for front brakes, Dennis detected a gas tank leak. He knocked out that added task same day with no hesitation. Simply put, he and his shop make car maintenance look easy. Nothing fazes them. Very impressive. It is a blessing that I found this shop years ago!

Guthriesville Tire & Service is an excellent local resource for any car issues. I have been using them for a few years now and they have never steered me wrong. Courteous and knowledgeable and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

My car died and I took it to this place to have a alternator and battery replaced. Then when I brought it home my AC wasn't working. I brought it back to this place and it was going to cost me another $1400 to get I don't even know what replaced. I took it to pep boys and 2 other mechanics and they all told me that when Guthriesville replaced the alternator and battery that they must of knocked the freon out of the tube for the AC and that all I needed was Freon.

All 3 mechanics told me to take it back to Guthriesville because it was very obvious what had happened and Guthriesville should be able to refill it no charge. Guthriesville was adamant that this other thing needed to be replaced (the $1,400). I decided to just get the Freon and my car is still just fine. It's been several months now. Also, I feel as though Dennis is very combative and made me feel very uncomfortable while trying to prove his point to me. Bad vibes.

I stopped in yesterday with a flat tire. The crew at Guthriesville Tire & Service quickly patched my tire and fixed a dead brake light for me too. The guys out front, Dan and Dennis, are super friendly and I enjoyed chatting with them. Overall experience was great and it didn't break the bank.
