While expensive, they do solid, knowledgeable repair on even 30 year old cars, and are willing to work towards unorthodox solutions. Pricey, but well worth it

I have taken two VWs (one a rare model that I prize highly) to Dove's and have always received the best care and advice. When I needed a new family car, I was impressed by the in-depth knowledge they had about Acuras and Hondas. I now take my MDX there and have the piece of mind that they will do a great job. Jesse (a technician) is very passionate about his work and it shows!

After our trusted former shop (of 20+ years) closed its doors I realized just how valuable a skilled, trustworthy mechanic is, and Jesse at Dove's is that person. Dove's has serviced both of our family vehicles in the last several months--we depend on these cars daily and Jesse went above and beyond to make sure both were back on the road safely, promptly and most importantly repaired correctly.

I am knowledgeable about cars and handy with a wrench, but don't have the time or tools needed for many jobs. After encountering dishonesty and incompetence at several other shops--especially the dealerships--I was elated to find someone like Jesse to work on our cars. It is evident that he comes to work, not solely because he has to, but because he has a passion for his work and cares about his customers. Prices are average (I research all our repairs) and definitely cheaper than the dealers.

We were traveling from NY to NC when we heard a funny sound from our front left tire. We pulled over immediately and searched Yelp for an auto repair shop with good reviews. We were so happy to have quickly found Dove's. They made time for us even with a full schedule and tightened the three loose lug nuts that were causing us trouble. Thanks to Dove's for being professional and kind, for saving our trip and possibly our lives.

I rarely write business reviews, but this one is well deserved. I was 120 miles from home when my car broke down. I called Dove's and spoke to Fred to explain my predicament. Fred was very friendly and agreed to diagnose the car after I had it towed into the shop. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by Fred and Jesse, one of the mechanics.

Although they appeared to have a shop full of cars, they got to work on my car right away. They identified the problem, gave me an estimate, installed a new alternator, and had me back on the road in no time. The price was very reasonable. I was also impressed by the fact that they treated me like a long time customer despite the fact that I lived 120 miles away (in Virginia). I highly recommend Dove's. If I lived in/around Mechanicsburg, they would definitely be my repair shop!

I've been taking my cars to Dove's West for years. From the initial appointment call to the time I pick up my car, I've always been treated with respect by highly professional staff persons. From Keith at the desk to the competent and caring mechanics, each and every experience is positive. When I call to make the appointment they remember me, they really do, and always do their best to assure my cars run well.

At my last inspection they told me that my son's car would need new brakes and tires at next year's inspection. Who does that? Only a garage who respects you as a customer and who has established a relationship of trust, which, to me, is the way it should be. They know that I will be coming back and that they will be there to assist me, as they have for years. Getting a Dove bar when I pay my bill just sweetens what is already a great business relationship!
