Started in 2004 by father and son, Richard and Richmond Blackwell, Blackwell Automotive always aims to put the customer first. We realize that car troubles and car issues can be an inconvenience to anyone. Since 2004, Blackwell Automotive has provided quality general repair and maintenance for many vehicle types, makes and models, but we specialize in Lexus, Toyota, Nissan and Infiniti. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not work on European automotive brands such as Audi, Volkswagen or BMW. Our team of trained mechanics and customer service professionals is here to answer all your questions and concerns about your vehicle before, during and after vehicle servicing.We're your trusted partner in helping to keep your vehicle operational and safe year after year.
Blackwell Automotive was established in 2004 and, at the time, only specialized in Lexus repairs. We have many years of experience repairing different Lexus models. Your Lexus will be in the hands of Chattanooga's first and best independent service center specializing in Lexus vehicles. By specializing in Lexus repairs, we are able to more accurately diagnose and fix your Lexus.
Blackwell Automotive has been specializing in Toyota vehicles since 2004. We enjoy working on Toyotas because they make such a great product. We service Toyotas from brand new, to even some that have over half a million miles. By specializing in Toyota, we are able to more accurately diagnose and repair your car.

I needed an alternator, and because it caused my battery to drain, I also needed a new battery. Blackwell Automotive got the job done immediately! Been going to Blackwell Automotive for many years now and they are top drawer in every respect. The entire staff is friendly, professional, listens to my specific situation, and finds the solutions. This issue took several visits to resolve but they kept working until it was fixed. They more than accommodated my schedule, and always treat me fairly. I travel more than 20 miles to have them service both my vehicles and they are worth the trip. Highly recommend Blackwell Automotive!

These guys are true professionals. I was passing through Tennessee when my battery light came on. They were the closest repair shop, and they are the best. I got there near closing time so they couldn't finish my car, so they gave me a Lexus loaner for the night. Had my car ready to go the next morning and working great! Service: Electrical repair

The team at Blackwell is outstanding. I've become very particular with who I let work on my vehicles due to countless issues with competitors. I have no reservations or concerns with this crew. I got a quote from here that was very reasonable for the work I needed, and got it fixed the very next day. They were fast and professional and the price was fair. They also communicated perfectly throughout the process, which always seems like the hard part for other places. The place was well lit, neat, and clean, which is refreshing. This is definitely where I'm taking my vehicles in the future.

I was very pleased with the service I received regarding servicing my vehicle. However, when I picked my car up, the drivers side was very dirty with what I sermize was grime from mechanic. I asked did they not use seat covers and was told no. The desk manager did a light cleaning but I did have to detail the drivers seat and console when I got it home.
That was disappointing because I had never had that issue before. I have owned several Lexus and have taken them all to Blackwell at some point. I will continue to do so and recommended them. I may simply purchase a seat cover specifically for service in the future.

I take my Toyota Tundra in for all maintenance, and my mom has a Lexus. I love how I am treated and the value I get for my vehicle. What I like more than that even is my mom can go in there and be treated fairly and promptly, . You can also have a relaxing time in the waiting area with snacks, books and TV. Michael and the gang are top notch and will recommend every time to all who ask.

I was very pleased with the service I received at Blackwell Automotive. They're very professional and their price is very hard to beat. I got a lot of Maintenance work done to my vehicle. And I was expecting to pay a lot more than it cost so I was pleasantly surprised when they told me the cost of my maintenance before they started the work. I go regularly for basic maintenance - oil change, brake checks, tire check, etc. Blackwell Automotive is full of nice, kind, and very competent people. You always get good answers for questions, and you know you are valued. And, the waiting areas are comfortable and delightful! Also, the prices are so very reasonable!

AMAZING! We were having a brake issue at 4:30pm. They got us right in to check it out! Easy fix! Owner even offered to loan us a vehicle to go to FLORIDA, & pick our car up on the way back! And they didn't even charge us! Very gracious & accommodating! Made sure we were comfortable while waiting, offered snacks & drinks. Southern hospitality at it's finest!
