I just inherited a 2010 Q5 with 105K miles that had been sitting unused for 1.5 years. I knew the battery was dead and it needed an oil change, and I needed it to get me to Oregon within a couple days. I took it to Eric - my first experience with this shop. I'd made an appointment 1.5 weeks ahead, concerned that there might be trouble sourcing the right battery in this season.

I came into town and the day of the appointment I called and they were ready for me, battery in hand. Nice to see the follow through! Eric got the requested services done and got the Q5 running reliably. His report on the overall vehicle inspection was very thorough, and though he mentioned a couple other items that could use attention he pointed out that they were not essential for my immediate road trip needs and could wait.

No pressure to do unnecessary work. A friend of mine (who is a mechanic at an Audi dealership in AZ) texted me asking how the car fix was going. Everything I passed on from Eric, my friend said was spot-on. Not that I ever doubted Eric, but my Audi mechanic friend's affirmation is a vote of confidence. If I'm back in the area with this car and need service, I'll take it to Eric. UPDATE: I made the trip from the Bay to Portland in one shot. The Q5 ran like a champ. Thanks Eric!

When the top wouldn't open on my E350, I found that a convertible top shop doesn't do that kind of work. Who da thunk it? Took it to Eric. He knew the routine required to zero in on it, always keeping me informed. He identified the part. Ordered it, installed and sent me on my way with beautiful working top at a very fair price. I went to ask questions in regards to my BMW. I got to the door they would not open the door. I'm a black man. Asked if they were open he said yes. He proceeded to talk to me through the glass. Long story short he called the San Leandro police. They said he had the right to do business with any one or not do business with anyone. I've never met this man, no prior history. This happened today or 4-12-22. Three Police cars came out for this incident.

Eric has been doing a great job on my 20 year old SAAB 9-5. She is still on the road because of him. The part are hard to find but WICS seems to find them for my old car. Too bad he does not take anymore old SAABs. I am lucky to be one of his last customers of SAABs. If you do have another European car, he will do a great job and he is a very honest. I have been going to him since 2008?

We have used Eric for about 7 years now for BMW, Mercedes and Mini Cooper. He is very knowlegeable and provides great service at a fair price. It seems that the Dealers have become cash extraction systems with a thin veneer of service and as soon as the mnfg warranty expires we happily dump them for quality at World Import Car Services. And you are supporting a local business too!

My review is strictly focusing on customer service. When I called them, the owner's son Eric, who took over the business, answered the phone. Even though my mom's mgb had not been in for at least 10 years, he remembered my mom (from when he was 15 years old), and even though the company no longer services British cars, he "grandfathered" my mom in, and agreed to service her car, based on loyalty to her.

He was very friendly and willing to discuss the matter at length, and very forthcoming with a lot of advice and help. I think that people that go to him for car service will be well taken care of.

I have a 2013 BMW 320i with over 100k miles. I really recommend this shop for German vehicles. Eric is so helpful, honest and informative. Scheduling is easy and on top of everything EXCELLENT quality of work and customer service!

Most German auto repair shops I've been to see dollar signs when someone walks in. Eric is honest and genuinely helpful and knowledgeable and won't try to bilk you out of your cash. He will recommend what he thinks is necessary and will not pressure you in anyway. He also recommended a place to get my diesel smogged and I was in and out of that place in less than 30 minutes. He's got all my business now.

Eric and his team have been servicing our VW Tiguan and BMW 328i for about 5 years now. They always do high quality work at a reasonable price, and their customer service approach is friendly and informative.

I had to have my brake fluid and oil replaced per schedule. Weatherford was going to charge me nearly $700. I have a 2014 328i. I called Eric the owner and he quoted me $359 or so. He was also 20 mile closer. He does great work and explained everything. He reset my sensor that had me changing brake lining/pads. I had twice as much lining than the sensor indicated. He is my go to mechanic now. The business is a family business and been around for nearly 60 years.

I purchased my Porsche at a local dealership and always returned there for service. When the brake wear light came on recently, instead of going to the dealership, I decided to give Eric a call. He was able to schedule me in the following week and even saved me some money over the dealership's estimate. Eric and Arlene are kind, trustworthy people. Eric has many years of experience working on European cars. Give them a try - you will NOT be disappointed!

Eric took his time to explain to me all of the issues, timing of services needed and possible risks of avoiding said problems. He was straight forward and quite kind.

Eric is a great mechanic, and he delivers excellent service. I highly recommend World Imported. I recommended a friend, and now she will only go to Eric. He's is honest and thorough. I trust his judgment, and whatever repair he recommends, I follow through, and have had zero problems. There aren't many people like this guy.

Let me start off by saying that if you want a honest, friendly, detailed invoice with great service add a great deal this is the only place that you should take your foreign cars. I have been coming to this location for over 15 years. I have had services on my BMW 735, BMW 745 IL, BMW X5, and a few other vehicles of my children cars serviced at this location.

Your invoice before work is attempted is explained to you in great details and that is something that you usually do not receive at any business these days. Eric, the owner and his family are never too busy to literally explain to you what you could have done now, what may go wrong in the near future and will include a list of items that you will soon be needing and that is something that I love about this location.

Very honest humans and I can't tell you how that has made me continue to bring my vehicles back time after time. I have never had any problems with service, parts or an appointment! Just thought that I'd send this since I'm on my way to pick my car up! Thanksssssss Eric!

Clean shop and great customer service. I was in need of getting new breaks on my Audi Q7. After a $2000 quote from the dealer I was in shocked and began looking for an alternative shop. When I walked into world imported car service I was greeted by Eric the owner and he was very nice. Eric was very informative and answered all my questions and made me feel secure with leaving my car. Definitely a great shop and I will return in the future. I am so happy to be able to establish a relationship with world import car service.

I just purchase a used 2005 AUDI A8, and found this repair shop on google. I bring my car for diagnostics and some minor repair. ERIC was very helpful. Just purchase a used 2007 Audi A3 and needed to have it serviced so I decided to take it here instead of my usual Audi dealer in Oakland. When I first spoke to Eric about the needed service he was very friendly and professional, because of that I felt comfortable about letting him service for my car. He gave me a thorough computer diagnostics and check all my belts, brakes, tires and fluids.

He also invited me to drop back in for a follow up after his service and the car is running great. I had some rattling noise which was coming from under the car so he invited me back to check it. After 2 weeks I decided to drive by and see if he can look at my noise problem. He took me in within a few minutes and fixed the problem right away. I offered to pay for his time but he didn't charge me. I have 2 Audi cars that I will take to World Imported from now on. thanks Eric for your great service and honesty. Mr. Lee

As other reviewers have mentioned, Eric is a jewel. He clearly communicates that he loves the cars and he takes the time to explain somewhat esoteric details that are germane to the work. I had a 1983 Mercedes and I asked for a laundry list of checking and maintenance. He looked at the somewhat long list and said "All this is covered in the major service" So, for approx $750 he went thru the car, repaired a few small things, changed oil and filters and gave it a good inspection.

Another mechanic had said I needed quite a few repairs. Eric nixed most of that. I would definitely go back. He was friendly, joyful and very knowledgable. Not only that he was economy minded and made suggestions that saved me money.

These people are honest, friendly, and fast. I had a Mini Cooper with Timing chain problem, and they diagnosed and called me the next day. The owners name is Eric. He gave me a better than fair price. 5 stars for World Imported Car Service.

Needed a quick repair on my daughters VW Eric fit me in the same day and repaired everything that same day. He was very professional and reasonably priced. Great place!
