I am Ronnie Belden here with Belden's Automotive & Tires. Belden's Automotive & Tires was established in 1972 and I have enjoyed being a part of our family-owned and operated the business as the Owner and President. I was born and raised in San Antonio, where I have always had an enthusiasm for the automotive repair industry.
Hello, I'm Rusty Belden, President of Belden's Automotive & Tires. In 2005, I joined my father's business after receiving my Bachelors of Business Administration from Baylor University. After spending so much time at the shop as a young child, I am excited to be a part of the business and see how much everything in the industry has changed.

Showed up with an issue with engine overheating. Instead of just investigating this issue, they ran and charged for a full vehicle diagnostic (fluids and tires and the works). This cost me an additional $169. The main issue however came upon checkout. I received a call on Friday outlining that that the issue was caused by a faulty engine thermometer.
I was told with the diagnostic cost, replacement, and labor: the total would be about $332 with taxes to which I agreed even though I felt it was quite pricey. When I showed up to fix my vehicle, I was told the total was $450. They told me they had to replace the lugnuts when removing my tire, costing $90 + tax (+ labor). I did not agree for this service to happen.
I agreed to the quote received the previous day before the work would be performed. They decided that additional work needed to be provided without consulting me or receiving my consent. I think $450 to replace a part listed on the receipt as $27.90 as pretty significant price gouging and charging beyond the agreed upon price is not okay. I have filed a complaint to the BBB. Lastly, they managed to break my key so I have to show up again later next week to receive and have a new one programmed.

Great place. Had a tire with a screw in it, went in and they had me in and out in no time, fair price for the fix. Watched them while I waited, their place says it's a family first kind of place and I believe it. Everyone was treated fantastic, most were surprised by price, didn't see any single attempt to upsale anyone. I think I may have officially changed where I get my car seen!

My friends car died and I recommend she take it here because i had a good experience prior. She had some oil work done at Break Check up 281 and they totally Screwed her car up, oil dripping on the alternator burned it out. Charlie got everything fixed and even took pics to help deal with BC corporate. Super appreciate yall, professional and attentive!

This place is 100% awesome.! Gave my son my old car that has/had a number of issues wrong with it. They have fixed everything and it is running brand new again. We really appreciate the best customer service with y'all. Didn't feel anything was overpriced at all especially with the warranty this company has. Thank you Nick for helping my son.

I was desperate to have my car automatic window repaired. It was stuck in the down position. I spoke with three different service writers and all three were as helpful and courteous on the phone as they could be. They squeezed me in in just a couple days. I also asked them to check an oil leak and my brakes. I did have two oil leaks but they told me my brakes were fine for now.
How easy it would have been to tell me that my brakes needed replacing. I would have had no idea. They repaired the two issues I had and did a great job dealing with my car warranty company. They also shuttled me back and forth home. I picked up my car today and knew I had to leave a positive review for them. I will use them from now on and not my dealership that never answers the phone. Thank you Belden for great service!

I have come here so many times at this point it's funny. Not because they've done anything wrong, my Juke has just required everything under the sun now that it's paid off, go figure. Everything they have repaired or done for me, outside of regular maintenance, has not required any additional services. I truly believe in the quality of their work and the integrity of the business.
They are expensive, but owning and repairing a car is expensive. I have always been happy with my service and their communication with me. I know my car is taken care of there. I never feel scammed or as if I've left with more questions than I came in with. They have a staff there that I've seen for a long time which shows it's not a turn and burn company. All in all, I always recommend this place to anyone who needs any car serviced because I trust them.

On May 4, 2021 I was driving on the new 281 Highway southbound when I had no choice but to run over a bucket that had been left in the road (cars were on each side of me). I had to stop and dislodge it. When I looked under my car it was leaking. I drove directly to Beldens so they could look at it. When I got there they were extremely busy. I didn't get his name, but he came right out and looked under my car, saw the dripping and assured me it was just condensation.
I was worried it could something else and the guy could see I was still stressed over it, and although he told me it would be two days before they could look at it, he put my car right up on a lift to check it out. Turns out he was right and I was on my way in not time. Thanks so much! Even though I know it probably irritated him to do it, (he managed NOT to look irritated) he did and I am beyond grateful! They service all of our cars, but he didn't know that at the time and even though I tried to pay something he refused. THANKS AGAIN!
