My truck broke down on a Friday afternoon and I needed to be back in NJ the following day. They went out of their way to get be back on the road by Friday night despite having difficulty finding available parts. The price was very fair and the service was outstanding!

Been going there for YEARS. I buy pretty high quality used cars, and they are knowledgeable, courteous and reasonably priced.

Excellent customer service! Mechanic is very knowledgeable and thorough. Best overall experience for any auto repair / maintenance shop hands down. This is an example of a well run local small business that is personable, professional, and proud of their work. I would recommend them to anyone without any reservation.

Extremely happy with Danvers Auto Engineering. Been going there for years. Always fast and Courteous service and fixed right the first time!. Plus I've had the same head technician working on my car for years, it tells me that it must be a pretty good place to work as well.

This is a great place to have your car serviced. The owner, Tom, is a man of his word. I had my car serviced here two months ago when my water pump broke. Unfortunately, the part was faulty and ended up breaking again. However, my repair had a 2 year warranty. After learning of the incident, Tom had the car towed in and fixed in less than a day! They also completed my inspection sticker. It shows a lot that a place is willing to drop everything and fix my vehicle in less than a day to stay true to their word!

2012 Dodge ram, one of the most common American vehicles on the road. Truck was overheating, so I took it here, figuring this place could figure it out, cars overheat, somewhat common problem. Well bottom line is I just can't justify paying $500 for a radiator hose. After day 1 I was told they couldn't find a leak. Then after 'hours of pressurizing the system' they finally found one! Miraculous?

I certainly don't think so. Also tried upselling me another hose I didn't need (remember when you said you couldn't find the problem? Why replace another hose?) My trucks running fine now, my wallets dried up like a desert.

Terrific customer service--professional work on my car. I tried gas station & a repair place (Peabody, MA) area.unhappy with results. Each one their respective lots is FULL cars. Troubles for me pull in my Toyota, & depart.dangerous intersection/s--a city. Found Danvers Auto Engr. - very pleased w/ everything. He checked my rear brakes, said they're fine (58,000 mi. OD).

A month later, I returned for MA Safety check.which was completed in no time. He advised me to change my license plate.faded, incorrect color (green letters/#'s) should be red/white for MA. Some work is discounted, as I'm an AAA member.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! They told me they could fix my car when it was a transmission issue. $700 later I have a non working vehicle. There are other more honest mechanics out there. Do not choose this one.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GARAGE! I took my car to them with a chronic head-gasket leak after they had appeared helpful previously when I had stopped in. Not only did they not replace the HG, but they installed an additional $1200 worth of (highly marked up) parts which had nothing to do with the problem. They also did work I had not requested, and billed me of course.

My total bill was $3400! When I finally got my car back, nothing whatsoever was fixed. In fact the car was in worse shape as they had clogged the heater core by incorrectly flushing through a sealant through the cooling system, rendering the heater inoperable. I was completely ripped off by this garage. It was so blatant that I took them to court to try to get some of my money back. I WON the case! Danvers Auto Engineering are as dishonest as they come. Please, take your car somewhere else for repair.

From the time Carole assisted me with getting an appointment, through the discussions I had with Tom about what my car needed (and detailing what those things were) and then having the mechanic personally provide my car back to me (after he performed a road test), I was totally satisfied with the customer service and work performed at Danvers Auto Engineering.

I will continue to visit Danvers Auto Enginering for my car's regular maintenance (and any other work needed) and will suggest to my local family and friends that they do the same!

I have always had great service here. I've had two inspections done as well as a walk-in with a problem. Someone came out and checked my car (it was a headlight issue), without needing to make an appointment. Can't say enough good about this place.

My daughter broke down in Danvers Mass on July 11. AAA towed the car to a garage they recommended, Danvers Auto Engineering (it was $150 for AAA to tow it home). She was alone with NH plates, stressed & 40 miles from home with no way to get her car back. They said they would look at it. The next day quoting $816 dollars for a new alternator and battery installed for this 2010 Hyundai Elantra, that included the AAA discount. Folks on the phone were nice enough but seemed surprised she didn't want to pay $212 for a battery installed.

She really felt like she was being taken advantage of by the price and limited options. We called other shops and the Danvers price was by far the highest price. Turns out it was cheaper to pay the $150 tow to a local shop. Oh, and there was also a $75 diagnostic charge. I paid it cause they did do the work, but it was not clear it was a cost that would charged regardless.

I tried calling twice but they said it was the best they can do. By the way our local shop is doing the same work for $515. Danvers Auto Engineering will take advantage of you; and I would recommend going, quite literally, anywhere else.

Tom and Carole do a great job getting you in and out. I take all 4 of my cars to them for inspections to oil changes to brake jobs. Easy location to get to in Danvers off 114. Nice people and FANTASTIC technicians.

They were able to get my car in at the close of day, and it was repaired by mid-day the following day. Service was efficient, affordable and satisfactory. Our spare car has 150,000 and is running like new now. Will definetly bring our cars back when needed. Thanks, Tom, for your help!

I was busy getting ready to fly to Florida and my time was taken up with those plans and I forgot about putting the battery in the car that was to stay here for the four months I would be gone until the day before. I called the place that I get my sticker from and told them my situation and they told me to bring it right over. I did and got the battery replaced quickly and for a good price. Saved my bacon! Thank you Auto Engineering!

I've been using DAE for more than 10 years. Collectively, my "fleet" has more than 500,000 miles on it, at least in part I ascribe this to the care they've taken of my vehicles in that time. They've always been responsive, and have been very clear in letting me know what HAD to be done, as opposed to what was just good to get done. I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else.

I had high hopes for this place. It is close to my house and the shop itself seems clean and well-managed. Yet, after bringing my car in 4 a routine break job. I had to bring it in a second time because the brakes are grinding and squealing. After bringing i in again.they were courteous and timely, but breaks still squealing and grinding. they tried to blame it on defective brake pads but I have my suspicions. at the end of the day, if you have to bring your car back 3 times for a basic brake job on a new car then something is wrong, sorry butt I will not be bringing my car back for any other issues

I broke down in Peabody and brought my truck to this shop to have a brake line replaced. He quoted me OVER $500 for it! I told him I'd be back in to pick up the truck and he charged me $100 for looking at it! It was not even on the lift! They only peeked under the truck! RIP OFF! Go somewhere else!

Don't let this place take advantage of you! He wanted to charge me $1000 to change my oil pan which he told me was something that NEEDED to be done before I lost all the oil in my car. I didn't believe him so 7,500 miles later with the oil still in my car, another mechanic changed my oil plug for $15! This guy almost stole $1000 from me for no reason!

Always had great service from here. This establishment was brought to my attention from AAA. Danvers ford told me I needed a new transmission when I came here for a second opinion I learned that in fact a gasket was broken into the transmission and fluid needed to be flushed and gasket replaced.

Shame on me. My daughter brought her old Volvo to Danvers Auto Eng. for an oil and filter change and we didn't ask the price. When I picked it up the bill was $67.90. The car needed 6 quarts of oil and the charge was 6.95 a quart plus filter and labor. The owner explained that it was 10W30 oil which they don't buy in bulk. I could have used virgin olive oil for that much!

Even after telling them how I feel I'm still ashamed of being hustled. ( $39 oil and filter including tire rotation for my Ford truck at the dealership.) Be careful with this business.
