The staff was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. One of the few places to get an Emissions Test done where you can sit in a cool (during the summer) and warm (during the winter) area to wait for your car. Also went to Nelson's for an Oil Change and they were very reasonably priced for the synthetic oil change I needed. They are and have been in Wallingford for years and can be trusted with your car. Give them a chance, you won't be disappointed!

I visited Nelson's for my emissions test, and all went smoothly! The woman I spoke to on the phone was really helpful and friendly, and when I arrived so was the person there who helped me. They got things wrapped up in no time, maybe about 15 minutes. Would definitely consider coming back again if I ever need anything for my car.

I come here for my emissions test and its always fast and easy. The waiting room was very clean and had a wonderful smell to it. Strawberries mabye?

Called about a transmission issue that was recently worked on else where. I asked if they could handle transmissions issues told them its a rattle noise, They said no problem we can handle it, their diagnostic its a rattle noise and here's 5 pages from a service bulletin and oh we cant handle that but Billy can. they charged me $100.00 they basically printed a few pages for me and sent me down the street, to a place that also lied said I'll call you tomorrow never called I called end of the day no we cant get to it to maybe Monday, The place was so un organized and the oil smell will choke you.

Also Nelson has no waiting room I found a transmission place with a clean wafting room organized plan of cars in and out all right on their bulletin board in the clean waiting room on Newfield Ave. Hartford. Don't go to Wallingford for transmission work maybe Nelson thought I said emission cuz that all I see they can do.

I went there to get my emissions tested. Fast service, very friendly. Everything you would want in an emissions testing center. They even have a nice little waiting room just for emissions where you can watch your car being tested. No one necessary paperwork. If you're in Wallingford, this is the place to go.

Had my emissions testing done here. Got here at 4:45 and they didn't turn me away after working all day. If my cars ever need service or a tow they have my business.

Very quick and polite service when getting emissions done. Saturday mornings the lines can get lengthy and they are only done one at a time, but he knocked them out as quickly as possible.

I've lived in CT for 6 years and was still taking my car back to my hometown in NYS for repairs because I couldn't find a place I trusted. Nelson's is AWESOME, though. Kayla was so easy to work with and the communication was great. She even stayed a bit late so I could still pick up my car after getting stuck in rush hour traffic. The prices were incredibly fair and the service overall was just the best. 15/10 would recommend. I will certainly be back for future service and repairs.

6/24/21 Easy and quick to do emissions. 20 bucks cash. Outdoor sitting area with a tent for shade while you wait. Can't speak to any of the other services they provide. Had PP stuff and chair and steering wheel covers for the tech. Seemed like it might be overkill at this point but appreciate that they had the supplies and were making the effort to do right by their employees.

Great place to get emissions done! There were two people ahead of me and it still only took 30 minutes. I appreciated the option to sit inside or outside to wait (beautiful day to sit outside!). Also the test was done with all safety precautions imaginable (masks, gloves, seat and steering wheel covers, windows open). It's still a bit uncomfortable to have a stranger in your car, so I really appreciated this. Thank you! I will be back when my car needs service.

Stood outside in 20 degree weather and waited 20mins past my appointment before they took my car. Was not told my staff at time of appointment went would be waiting outside. Staff was very nice but would not come back sadly.
