I started my automotive career way back in 1978. At that time I was working at a Union 76 gas station, now known as Unocal. This was when Full Service stations were the norm and you actually had someone to pump gas and put air in your tires. I was attending CSULB and working part time. College took a detour when my wife got pregnant and financial matters took precedence.
I went to work at a GM dealer in Long Beach, CA. in 1980 and stayed there for a few years. I worked at various GM dealers until 1991, till I had gone as high as I could go as a technician.

Wow! It's been thirty years since I first picked up a wrench and started to fix cars. It's been amazing how cars have progressed in that time. Looking back over the thirty or so years, I'm thinking about the impact technology has had in our everyday lives. There were no PC's, cell phones, satellite TV, CD's, DVD's, as well as many other things we now take for granted. From time to time I'll add to my blog.
The 1976 Cadillac Seville was a milestone for General Motors, as it introduced GM's first fuel injected vehicle. What seemed to be a complicated system back then, only laid the foundation for what was to come. I'll be doing some case studies from time to time to show what actually is involved in fixing vehicles in the 21st century.

This is my number one mechanic I have a C6 Corvette took it to different places all through Moreno valley and Riverside they couldn't fix it at all charged me a whole bunch of money. I really didn't want to go to Moss so Yelp lead me to GM's ONLY. I emailed Scott, responded quickly, we figured it was probably the original BCM (horn honking, interior lights going on and off, door unlocking sounds, failing PassLock leading to a no start) and yep that is what it was. Scott is your guy if you have the complicated problems and you don't want to deal with the "dealer".

I 100% recommended to any person who owns a GM. Scott has done amazing on our truck no complains what so ever. Great service knows what he is doing and best of all he is honest and straight forward no bs. Took our truck for different stuff and so far its been working amazing. I already drove it twice from Cali to Tennessee and it's like if it never had a problem.

I went to have a oil change done on my 2014 srx Cad i called a day before they were able to fit my car in they said they checked all the fluids but when i got my car home my brake fluid & anti freeze was very low that new said he check but i see he didnt the helper he had before was much better and not so much in a hurry do your job or you will not have one take your time with peoples car and maybe it should be checked before returned to the owner. I will tell my church members to be careful.

I've been coming here now for over a year with my Buick. Word to the wise! DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I had been going to Moss Bro's for my repairs after they ripped me off for 10th time I had enough! Scott the owner is amazing. Knows his stuff inside out. Will trouble shoot the problem and not find ways to rip you off. Wish I had known about GM'S only sooner! God knows how much I would have saved? You can't substitute experience and knowledge. Scott has an abundance of both!

My corvette had a oil pan leak. Took it to Scott after the first shop said that was not the problem, which i knew it was. Scott confirmed and did the repair. Very knowledgeable about gm's. Clean shop, great communication and very good work. I am so glad i found a shop to bring my Vette for my service. Would highly recommend.

Scott is very friendly and straight up. He responds very quickly. I brought my 2001 corvette in for a full fluid change. The turn around was very fast. I wanted him to put on a performance part on the transmission that he had never heard of and he took time to research it to make sure it was safe. If you have a GM and want dealership level work, or even better, I would highly recommend.

Went in to Scott with my C7 Corvette. It was seemingly a coolant issue, so I did not want to hesitate getting my car serviced. As you can imagine, getting ripped off is always at the forefront of my mind with my car, but Scott is honest and very transparent. Good and Honest mechanic, spoke with Scott before dropping off my 2008 Tahoe. I had an idea of what was wrong with my engine and he was confident in saying he would at least try to save my engine if it was worth saving without just saying I would need a new motor from the start. Went here on a recommendation from my daughter, after doing some repairs on my truck I had a service engine light on the dash. brought it over and Scott told me what could be the problem and two possible issues that could cause it. Worst case scenario would have been a new distributor or just a new gear on the distributor. Thankfully it was only the gear and i saved quite a bit of money!
