Wow! I can't say nice enough things about this place. Don's was recommended by my insurance, from a collision I was in earlier this year. I was so sad my car was never going to look the same again, but the work these guys did left my car looking identical to how I drove it off the lot. It looks like nothing even happened. Collin was amazing, keeping me updated periodically throughout the time it was in the shop. I'm so happy! Thank you guys! I really appreciate it!

This review is about Colin. His attention to detail and communication while he was repairing the body of my car was phenomenal. In this day and age, few companies care about the customer and are doing such quality work. They take real pride in the work they do on the cars in their shop.

I used to work for these greedy scam artists. This was the first body shop I worked for and I used to think they all had cheap and shady business tactics like Don does. From a former employee, do yourself a favor and don't go to this shop

They promised to deliver my car in 2 weeks and on the last day before their delivery deadline, they send me an email requesting additional money for some parts and it turns out that they haven't even started fixing the car. During that 2 weeks the car just laid down there. After they gave me a second deadline, on the day they claimed to deliver the car, they called me and let me know they haven't completed the job yet and asked for 3-4 more business days. Do not ever bring your car here, this is the worst car repair service ever. I am pretty sure their quality of repair will also be low after my engagement with them so far.

I was taken in by a guy in a parking lot by Safeway on 16th and Potrero who called himself Jim Colby. He said he could fix the scratches on my car, had years of detailing experience, and would offer me a great deal. Fast forward to after the work he botched and damaged the car paint. Don's Auto Body removed all the of paint they could and the car looks much better without the botched job done by scammer Jim (who's number was fake as well). Collin was my point of contact and was great considering my misfortunate act of kindness. Thank you Don's Auto Body!

I had an unfortunate accident with my truck and these guys went above and beyond. The repairs look brand new. They helped me navigate the confusing insurance process and always provided me with good customer service even though I'm sure it was annoying. Luis was super helpful as was all of the staff. I would definitely recommend this auto body shop. We are from out of the area and got in an accident and feel lucky we found this auto body shop. Angela who answers their phones is very pleasant to work with and our adjuster Louise was always available to answer any questions and communicated with us as well. Never fun to be dealing with a auto collision/repair especially during the pandemic when parts are taking up to a month to get, but beyond things out of their control, Dons was great to work with.

The team at Don's Auto Body performed amazingly. Very fluid transition between administration [paperwork], review of collision repair needs, and execution. I was absolutely impressed. Thank you Angela and Collin, and the entire team at Don's.

They are a small business and accurate and fair granted they said my car was a total loss but yet they were at least honest compare to other comoanies

I went to these guys after I got in an accident this morning and they went above and beyond to help me and make sure my car was safe enough to drive home. Give these guys your business, they are genuinely good people!

Took my car in for an estimate. I was a bit weary because I haven't had to take in a car for years. The staff there was nothing short of incredible. They listened to my concerns and walked me through what my options were, what each would entail in terms of cost, longevity, etc. They were completely transparent and were able to take care of the car! I would 100% go back.

Came in at 10:10 with a broken tail light, left at 10:30 with a fixed one. Taught me how to do it myself. No charge. 6/5. Amazing person.

I've been going to them for a few years now and they have been nothing short of incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was always super skeptical of auto shops especially in SF, where I feel you get overcharged on everything. Dons Auto Body is different. They do an amazing job and treat you well without trying to upsell you. If you're looking for trustworthy people who do a great job and love what they do, go here.

Additional note: I've also come in during shelter in place & they have very high cleanliness standards. They wiped down my entire interior with disinfecting wipes and use gloves and masks when handling your car.

Don's auto body shop is INCREDIBLE. We walked in with a broken tail light and one day before we left San Francisco (panicking to get it fixed) and they handled it with quickness, ease, and effectiveness. Every other auto shop tried to scam us in this city but the employees at Don's were not only kind and respectful but also did an excellent job. We were quoted for a huge charge and an especially long wait at other places, but Don's had us out of there quickly and for a very affordable rate. I would recommend Don's over every other place in this city.

Someone keyed the entire side of my truck while I was parked at the Embarcadero. Peter at Don's auto took care of it. He even found some dents and took them out. He's a great guy. The next time I have bad luck, I'll be back.

What an excellent example of customer service and craftsmanship. My AAA insurance claim repair was handled by PETER, who dealt with insurance, kept me informed, and watched over my car. Don and his staff took excellent care of me today. They repaired my SUV when it was damaged in a collision and one of the parts they installed malfunctioned. As per their guarantee, Don fixed it with out any issues plus a free car rental! Thank you guys for your excellent service!

Just want to thank the business for helping out. Came in for a quote for a broken bumper and a dent. The driver's door won't open. They fixed the door while giving me the quote. I'm very appreciative.

I have been taking my vehicles to Dons Auto Body for many years. Once again I was very impressed with their advice, consultation and the outcome. A very big thanks for your community support. When I picked up my vehicle today I saw a generous holiday donation getting ready for the kids.

This is a great place, Romeo handled my car and he is reasonable, honest, amazing to work with. I can assume other people in this place would be the same. Even some other people I randomly talked to in related business said this was THE place to go. I would recommend this place to anyone and I would be coming back to them if I need auto body job in the future.

I took my car in for accident repair and Carey was fantastic. He communicated with me while I was away. He not only repaired the damage, but he also looked into replacement tires for me. I was so excited to pick my car up. The repairs were done beautifully and my car was thoroughly washed and detailed.

I am so superbly impressed and humbled by my experience at this auto body shop. My break lights completely died off out of the blue and I found this nearby shop on my phone. The owner Don personally took care of my car and fixed my break lights, then he charged me $0. Yes he fixed my car for FREE. I am so thankful, this place definitely does not want to rip you off, to say the least :

Don't go this body shop! What a waste time! This body shop will over charge you more 4-5 time than anyway you go. I wasted half hour of my time in there with this person name Jesse! Thank god. I left them a fake address. Otherwise you never know a shop that this what they will do to you car when you park your car outside. I payer to God to curse them. Waste time and energy. God, can't believe how they estimate.

After a too-close encounter with a careless SUV driver, without any hesitation, I took my 1999 Honda Civic to Don's Auto Body for repairs under the other driver's insurance. (A number of years ago Don's Auto Body repaired my previous Honda after being rear-ended by a young fellow driving his father's SUV. what is it about SUV drivers?) Don's Auto Body live up to their motto "Where Quality is Our Only Business". Collin and his team do exceptional work; I was kept informed of progress, with photos, and when the car was ready they went beyond the call of duty to get her back to me.

My mature Civic looked amazing; even the inside had been Hoovered! The following day, I had a moment's hesitation trying to identify my Civic in a car park full of silver-grey cars! Collin also called a couple of days later to ensure that I was happy with their workmanship. Definitely 5-star service!
