A long due review. I crashed my car one year ago and went to another mechanic who didn't look at the car after 3 days. He could not even to give me an estimate. I called dynamik and got my car checked with an estimate in two days. It was worth it. My car came back like new. I didn't have insurance and they worked my car with used parts to make the service cheap but with a great quality.

Very customer friendly with a great support. I went there to check my car and I saw two guys working on it. I really loved it. All the employees were very reliable. I strongly recommend this place.

Owning a classic car can be an adventure, especially when 40 year old parts start wear out. Hami and his team are incredibly smart and efficient in their service, and adept at creatively solving issues for older cars. I brought in my Porsche 912 to address a lot of little issues and was pleasantly surprised at the ease and communication for the whole process. From custom parts for BMW 2002's to everyday service, you really cant go wrong taking your car here!

Great service, a preferred shop for '02s! I won a gift certificate at the Brisbane 02 car show earlier, in October, and it allowed me to bring it in to get some work done on the car. It was great to show they are huge participants of the show and the cars. Brought it here with a specific focus, and they came through and brought it back to life!

I recommend them :). Labor service is a bit higher than what I'm typically used to, but I'm pretty sure it's because it's in SF and a semi-prime location. Do your homework, know what you want (or not), regardless they will advise and suggest accordingly :).

My 65 VW was well cared for. I am a VW classic fan, but I can't do the work myself because living in San Francisco I no longer have a garage. So I needed some basics done and I needed someone I could trust. This is the shop! I can't tell you how many things they were able to find, fix, improve and everything was communicated with me easily and affordably. Thanks guys!

Mark my word Auto Dynamik is a five star place to be. The guys here are always courteous, well skilled able to deal with any problems in fixing my car. Their prices are extremely fair and they are able answer all of my questions. I can recommend this shop for all of your auto repair needs.

I've been taking my 1971 '02 to Auto Dynamik for 3 years now and it has been running fantastically well ever since. A lovely family business, honest, friendly and fair, who take great care of your cars. What more can you ask for. Loyal customer.

Wonderful shop! I recently bought a classic BMW and needed to fix a cold start issue right off the bat. Hami was extremely helpful in diagnosing the issue, fixing it elegantly (any within budget), and answering the number of questions I had. I will continue to use Auto Dynamik moving forward as a trusted mechanic. Recommend!

Brought in my Vanagon to fix the air conditioning and do a general maintenance check before taking it on a road trip. My van had been running completely fine and I had no issues with it. After Auto Dynamik fixed the air conditioning I picked up my car and 2 days later the engine over heated on the freeway causing severe damage. The alternator belt was not properly reinstalled and the engine cooling system had been bypassed not alerting the gauge of engine temperature. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP OR ELSE YOUR CAR WILL BE DAMAGED!

Absolutely furious at their lack of competence and inability to take responsibility for their poor work. This shop caused more issue than it solved. Would give zero stars if possible!

I drove into San Francisco on vacation, and my car had a very bad leak; the coolant tank was empty! It was 4pm and I knew I had to RUSH to get checked into my hotel, unload the car, and drop it off for repairs. I opened Yelp and chose Auto Dynamik immediately, the only shop with 5 stars in the area. Brendan took his time with me on the phone, and explained everything thoroughly - he made certain I understood the car would have to stay overnight.

Throughout the repair process, communication was excellent, and I had no worries or doubts that my baby was in excellent hands. I met Brendan's mother when I picked the car up, and she is just as nice as he is. Brendan took multiple photos of my car and sent them by text, so that I could see other issues that will need to be addressed in the future (with no pressure to let him do the work).

I won't hesitate to bring my car back here, but hopefully won't need to! This may be the first time I've felt so calm about having my car repaired, which isn't easy to achieve when you know you have to check out and drive back out of town soon after.

I rarely leave yelp reviews, but had to for this business. I brought an older BMW to Auto Dynamik and Hami and his son did a wonderful job bringing it back to life - I'd neglected to service the car for a number of years as it sat parked, so I knew it needed a few things (timing belt, water pump, etc.). When I dropped it off I also pointed out a few other vague issues that I'd noticed.

I received the car today and it is running incredibly smoothly. In addition to the work I had requested, he had noticed a few other issues during his time with the car and called me to discuss before proceeding. I get the feeling from this business that they really care about your vehicle and will take the time to make sure things are right. Lastly, I found their rates for the work to be very reasonable, especially for the level of expertise / quality of work.

GREAT, HONEST family. Have a vintage Mercedes and they do an excellent job of helping me keep her running smoothly. They are honest about what you need done and never tack on unnecessary extras (I have never said that about a mechanic!). I live up in Napa and they are wonderful about working with my schedule when I am in SF. They are super responsive even when I have a few DIY questions. Can't recommend them enough!

After Hami and Auto Dynamik tuned my BMW so well I thought I'd take my newest addition there. I bought a 1960 Mini Morris and wanted to make sure it was sound. Hami checked it out and recommended a number of things that needed to be addressed. This little car runs like a champ now thanks to the team at Auto Dynamik. Found out about this place at a BMW 2002 car meetup and so glad I saved the info. Recently, I had a problem with my VW Golf TDI's transmission and other mechanics told me I had to replace my transmission and quoted me $3600-$4000. Took my car to Hami and he spent half a day to diagnose it, ordered the parts and fixed it in a day, spent about $1000 bucks. Hami is a true German Car enthusiast and loves his job. Hami, K and Cynthia are amazing people, honest and they stand by their work. Hami is thorough, calls you promptly with his findings and suggests you the appropriate next steps. I have been in love with Auto Dynamik for about 15 years or more. Finding them was the happiest day in my life. I was sold on their good work, honesty and great customer service provided each and every time. After moving to Washington. DC for several years, I never forgot about them. I am back now and so happy they are still around providing quality service. Cynthia and Hami are the best and really feel like part of my family. I've been going to these guys for ten years. I've never had to take my car back due to an issue with a repair. They always deliver at the price quoted. I would not say they were the cheapest mechanic I've ever worked with but their prices are reasonable and, as I say, their reliability excellent. They don't try to gouge me. And they'll advise on repairs needed urgently versus those that can be deferred.

This is THE BEST auto repair shop I've ever used. Hami was able to identify and correct an issue with my car that three trips to Royal Motors didn't solve. He always keeps damaged parts to show me exactly what was causing the problem or takes pictures of what he finds in the engine. Excellent customer service and my car is running as smooth as the day I bought it.

I am so happy to have finally found a mechanic I can trust to get the job done. I've had a recurring problem with the engine light in my VW 1999 Cabrio, either not going on, or being on all of the time. This always led to problems getting my car to pass the smog test. Well, it's fixed.it goes on and off at the right times. From now on, Dr. Hami will have my car in his hands whenever she is sick.

If your car isn't feeling well, rest assured this is the place to go. Cynthia, the office manager, is great too. Just a very pleasant experience all around. Now that's an unusual thing to say about having your car fixed, right?

Here's the deal in a nutshell - Auto Dynamik is everything you want / need an SF mechanic to be - talented, honest, centrally located, well-managed, and focused on customer service. The shop shares space w/ a parking garage that provides flexibility in terms of drop-off + is located within a block of BART and buses. Super easy for commuters. I drive a classic BMW that means the world to me. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not as knowledgeable about the inner workings of this car as I ought to be - which puts me in a vulnerable position when dealing w/ new shops.

Generally a crap shoot. But not w/ these guys. I was introduced to Hami after hearing about his services at a vintage BMW show. His shop services a wide variety of makes and models. We met - he put the car in the air and walked me through a few areas of concern. We prioritized a short list of services that were tailored to meet the car's needs + my driving habits and budget.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Maybe you're in a bind - or maybe you're just looking to be proactive. Whatever the case may be - this is your spot!

Hami has taken care of every car my family has had for two decades. Lexus, Acura, Datsun, Volvo.he is honest, unfailingly delivers on his promises, reasonable prices. I wish they were located more convenient to my home, but other than that, Auto Dynamik is perfect. We keep our cars a long time (10 years on average) and are able to do so because of the excellent work at Auto Dynamik.

I found Dynamik from Yelp reviews after the hotel concierge didn't have a clue. During transport of my classic VW Squareback from L.A., the generator started weezing out somewhere north of Santa Barbara. Left the vehicle for a couple of weeks @ Dynamik and flew back to S.F. after repair plus some extra work I authorized. The bill seemed high but once I factored in what it would have really cost to store car and deal with issues on my own, I consider this business a true service, not just a repair shop.
