I ordered a transmission replacement and after the transmission was shipped and arrived, I had to cancel the order. Obviously this was not a pleasant thing for these folks to have to deal with. But they handled this with grace and understanding and refunded my full deposit. I am very impressed with the value they place on customer service and I certainly recommend them to anyone who values that!

Very comprehensive and responsive shop. I have taken two vehicles there. Both times they were very professional and reliable.

I haven't had service on my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee since COVID started. I scheduled a "seasonal" check-up and was pleased with the thorough inspection. I received a list of what needed replacing or attended to and pricing for the work. Communication was excellent from making the appointment to picking up the car once the work was finished. I've used Superior Auto since 2008 and will continue.

Once again Superior did an excellent job with the maintenance of my vehicle. My car is old (1999 Toyota Rav 4) and Superior has helped me develop a maintenance plan to keep the vehicle running for another, hopefully 50.000 miles. They communicated frequently with the status of repairs and kept me up to date with the schedule and outlook of completion.

When the vehicle was finished, it felt like I was now driving a new car and ran so so much better. Im grateful to Superior, especially the mechanic, Chris T and Service Advisor, Kyle O. for their superior work and for great communication with the repairs. Its nice to know I have such a great and consistent team for my car maintenance

Moved to Seattle and needed a new reliable place to take my car. Found SAS as a AAA certified repair shop and took my car to get a headlight repair and oil change. They did an inspection and let me know things that needed to be repaired along with a quote. A few months later I brought the car back and they stuck by the quote fixed everything for ~$100 less than a nearby store. I do wish there was a shuttle service or way to get someone to drop you off somewhere close to their shop since they close for an hour each day.

Not a great experience. Went to have my AC compressor replaced. Incorrect part was ordered twice delaying the repair. After installation, they tried to charge me $200 additional dollars to 'diagnose' a blown fuse on the AC circuit after I had paid $1200 for the compressor replacement. (took 30s and a $1 fuse at home). They told me my radiator was leaking, probably because I had just flushed my coolant and made a bit of a mess in the process. I confirmed at home there was no leak.

I can't recommend this place enough! I've been a faithful customer for years and appreciate the work they do! There is always good communication, transparency, and follow through. Everyone I've interacted with has been so nice and so helpful! The work they do is superior (pun intended)!

I love this place! They are honest with me, and never made me feel like they were out to just get my money. I love that they tell you what is most important and what can wait. Prices are more than reasonable for services, which is great, and I like the early hours; you can drop your car off before work. I recommend them to anyone in the area. If I had to say one thing, I wish there was a time estimate for services.

As someone who doesn't know cars at all, it would be nice to know when booking how long services take (an hour, a day, overnight, etc). This would make it a bit easier to plan ahead. Still love them though!

First time customer of Superior Auto Service and they immediately impressed me. They were respectful, very responsive, and got my car fixed more quickly than other places would've been able to. Great service!

Have used Superior Auto Service for a couple of our cars now. Needed a timing belt replacement and full fluid service on a car we had recently purchased, so i got multiple quotes from shops. Superior Auto Service answered my questions quickly and offered the best quote out of the 4-5 shops I contacted, even including the water pump and belt replacement that is optional on timing belt jobs.

They did great work and they do the most detailed vehicle inspection I've ever experienced which was very helpful. It took them a little longer than expected so I was given a discount which was very appreciated. When we took our truck there, we had a belt replaced that ended up being noisy when the engine was cold, and Superior Auto didn't hesitate to get us right back in for a free repair of the faulty belt. Overall, fantastic customer service, very thorough work, honest people, and reasonable prices. Shops that truly stand behind their work seem to be getting more and more rare. I write far more good reviews than I do bad one's but when customers are at risk of losing thousands of dollars to unnecessary mechanic work, I feel like something needs to be said. I don't know the circumstances that led to this diagnosis but I sincerely hope that this isn't the company's standard policy of care. I brought my car in for full diagnostic check up around 4 months ago.

I received a standard oil change with a mechanic certified list of recommended work to be done. The mechanic working on my vehicle personally told me I needed brand new shocks, and new struts and bearings. Estimated cost of parts plus labor tacked on an extra $1,100 dollars. This is something that I feel is very noticeable and hard to misdiagnose as a mechanic.

I decided to NOT have the work done and get a second opinion. The second opinion confirmed that this was a not an honest recommendation for my vehicle. I took it to the Pep Boys in Ballard and they were exceptional. Communication, transparency, in-person breakdown plus digital real time progress reports written and delivered daily. They really earned my business and Superior Auto Service lost mine.

I am a daily driver who needs a lot of yearly work on their vehicle. If they had been more honest and straightforward, they would have had my business for life. Again, I hope that their mechanics are not paid on commission thus forcing them to add on unnecessary labor to make a decent paycheck. I hope that this isn't how the business normally operates. Just a word to the wise, double check those big ticket repairs with another shop before you give SAS the green light.

Quick, honest, transparent, and does quality work. brought a car out of storage for an inspection and was provided a very thorough report and frank discussion of options. They were comfortable discussing priorities and doing some work and waiting on other items. inspection + work they had my car for just over 24hrs.

These guys are always stellar in regard to customer service as well as quality of car car. While my car was being serviced by them, I went to walk around the neighborhood, and ran into a lady who also happens to be their customer. She too shared with me how satisfied she is with their service of her car and that they have saved her car which she previously serviced at a shop that almost ruined it.

It was lovely to run into a complete stranger who happens to have the same positive experience as I do with these wonderful people. She also led me to a little library where I found a fantastic book on health, but that's a whole different review.

I wasn't able to do all the repairs on my car the first time I came to Superior Auto, and so finally I was able to come back in and finish up the necessary repairs. Everyone was extremely helpful and very communicative. They map everything out and I always feel like they explain everything without talking down to you. Great business!

I have been coming here for years and as always the service is top notch and honest with evaluating mechanical issues needed or for just a simple oil change. Service is excellent, and they share clearly options for future mechanical needs and issues. I would highly recommend Superior Auto Service.

Never before have I felt more confident my mechanic wasn't out to take advantage of me. This place is excellent. They are patient, offer very fast service and point out problems that need work without the over-the-top pressure other places put on customers. This time I went in for a routine winter tire swap and was informed my brakes need service.

I wasn't told I was driving a death mobile or that they needed service ASAP. Instead the guys took photos, showed me the extent of the wear, gave me multiple estimates (one for front, back, and both) and allowed me to make the decision with zero pressure. To top it off the price of swapping the tires was the best price around. Thank you.

Great experience with the guys at Superior Auto. I have a very low mile geezer (2002 Subaru Legacy GT) that I haven't really driven since the Pandemic - or really for the 5 years prior as I had a nice bus commute. After the most recent 3-month spell the drains had clogged again (3-yrs ago) and I had a pool of water on the rear tarp, the battery was dead, a tire was deflated, and when I opened the car door the rear-view mirror fell off.

I had to laugh. I got a battery minder (Noco Genius 5) and charged the battery (better than jumping for the battery), I got a lighter-driven pump and pumped up the tire, bought a cheap but waterproof $37 car cover, and I made an appointment up north at my (formerly, I think) regular place and they forgot the rearview mirror and paid $250 to get the rear drains cleared and they kindly gave me an estimate for hoses, belts, etc. of $2100 before tax.

A little salty. Superior's just 1-mile away, so I called on the mirror and asked for a quote on the other stuff - more than 25% less. The guys were super nice, had a good suggestion about the battery (not to get a kill switch because messes up the timing) so I bought terminal connectors for the minder that are now installed under the car's connectors and I can just plug it in during long parks. And they remembered the mirror too.

I have nothing but great things to say about the service here. I brought my van in for an initial inspection on a whim and Scott (shout out to Scott in particular as he worked with me the most), Keith, and the entire team of mechanics have been fantastic in solving all of its issues. They explain what needs to be done and what doesn't, and they stand behind their work. If you're looking for an honest shop look no further! Picture for fun, as without their work my van wouldn't be able to have fun pictures!

I have been using Superior Auto for years and I will continue to do so. Their service writers are seasoned pros, the technicians are well trained and very observant and the company is well managed and friendly. Good work Jay, Scott and Keith!

My car was broken in to while being repaired here (though the lock was not damaged so it's possible that the door was actually left open by an employee.) The business claimed no responsibility, and now I'm left to pay a $500 deductible to get my car fixed from the break-in (On top of the $500+ i paid for them to fix my original problem!) There is no secure fenced area at this repair shop so leave your car at your own risk. It's very disappointing as I was referred to this place by a good friend who said they had great service. Sadly, I had a very different experience.

Next time I will make sure to look for a repair shop with a proper security enclosure. *Update* So on top of my car being broken into here, less than a month later my check engine light is on again & after having it read by another repair shop--IT IS THE SAME ISSUE Superior Auto claimed they fixed!? Shoddy service, shoddy work.heed this warning & take your car somewhere else!

The gentlemen here are absolutely phenomenal! They treat you first class and provide superior service with incredibly affordable prices. I've brought them a concern that I had taken to a couple places and these guys took a closer look and shared what was really going on. They've saved me a great deal of money in quality repairs over the years for a few different vehicles and I'll always trust them moving forward!

We love Superior Auto! We took our car to the dealership in Auburn for a safety recall, at which time they did an inspection. They let us know we had some issues, quoted us over $2500 for the repairs, said they would have to order parts and they would need to keep our car about 3 days. We had gone to Superior Auto before moving out of Seattle, and thought they were worth calling even though we assumed they would be fairly expensive due to higher costs of running a business in Seattle.

We called and they said they would only need 1 day and quoted us about $1400. For all the repairs. Car is fixed, they did a great job as usual. We will definitely be continuing to make the drive into Seattle to have our car serviced here!

I cannot speak highly enough of this place and every single member of their staff that I encountered. We brought our car into Superior Auto Service after we had some repairs done by another shop, but then it gave out a horrible death rattle and wouldn't start. The guys at Superior Auto not only found and fixed the problem the other guys missed, but they identified a number of potential future issues and detailed them out for us with a timeline of how to keep our car running.

I have never found a more honest and genuinely helpful group of mechanics. These guys are proper Old Seattle, focused on good old fashioned customer service and honest dealings. Seriously, I cannot praise and recommend Superior Auto Service and every employee they have highly enough. If you want good honest dealings, it doesn't get better than Superior Auto.

Great service, clear explanations of work done, transparent pricing. not much more you can ask for. I had done almost all my auto work at the Toyota dealership but decided to come here because it was closer to my home (and the dealership understandably had stopped doing their shuttle service). Glad I made the change. Will definitely keep coming back for future service needs.
