I really appreciate these guys. They got me in right away. Found the problem! and instead of taking on the job and outsourcing the labor and then charging me for something they didn't do and would have taken even more time, they put me in the right direction of a place that could do the work and quickly. I will be coming back to Nippon for future issues. This has been one of the most helpful and honest auto mechanics I've ever dealt with!

1/07/2021 They mainly service Honda, Nissan, Scion and Toyota cars. They are very knowledgeable in regards to Japanese imports hence the name "Nippon" Motor Service. At the end of December I had a lot of service done to my Toyota. It was dead and at my garage for over 3months. NPS brought it back to life. I was given a thorough explanation of the problems, the service was excellent, and the cost of parts & labor were relatively reasonable. Joanne is the lady that answers all calls. She is the face and voice of the place. Joanne is spot on with her explanations, very friendly and funny. I will only go to NMS from now on to get my car serviced.

Had a GREAT experience here. They fixed my problem quickly even though they had to get the cabin air filters from off site. Everyone was super nice! And I was very surprised when I got the bill because it was much lower than I expected. I'm visiting Tucson and considering moving here. If I move here, I have definitely found my mechanic!

I found Nippon Motors when my 2004 Lexus 330 needed service and i did not want to pay the dealer prices anymore. I have owned many cars, and loved this old car. I found Nippon to be honest, and only did what was needed. They told me up front what was coming so I knew where I stood. I have since sold that car, and the current owners still maintain it with Nippon and love the place as I do.
When it came time to replace this car I chose another used Lexus, and had Nippon looked it over for me, and they told me where I stood before the purchase decision was made, then they maintained it for a few years until i replaced it with a new car. These folks have nothing but the best of intentions, and after years of inconsistent service elsewhere, it has been refreshing to do business with Nippon Motors. a special mention to Joanne, Always pleasant, and boy does she know her cars. If you own an import, look here, I am certain after all my visits you will be thrilled with the place as I am, Chuck C. Vail Az.

Love this place. Recommended to me, and they are professional and not a chain. Quick and accurate, they gave me recommendations after they were finished. I got an oil change and it took all of 30 mins. During the service, I chatted with the lady at the front desk and relaxed in their comfy waiting area. Appointments are super easy to make on their website, and they are quick to respond if you contact their email. This place is a gem.

Good people and service. First time I went, dealer had told me the struts had to be replaced immediately. I was told I had time. I did, about 2 years', which is what I wanted. I've had major services on everything done, except replacing hybrid batteries, which only dealers can do. Late on a Friday afternoon, my wife had a dead battery, got jumped and asked if they could put a new one in before a long drive the next day.
They obliged her easily. I had a headliner problem in a car and was told I could fix it myself with glue. They were right; it was easy. I've had front license plate brackets put on for free. I've never felt overcharged, the waiting room is pleasant, and while I've never used their courtesy van, it is available. I found them on Car Talk's web site, because I got tired of being given the glum look and "you've got a lot of problems with the car" talk. I'm moving out of state. My experiences have been good and the recommendations reasonable.

Very friendly and helpful staff.they're all very knowledgeable about cars and their mechanical workings. They know me by name (even though I've only been there twice), their prices are relatively reasonable, and their work is high quality. The biggest thing I like about them, though, is their respect for their customers' time and money. Nippon was able to reseal my whole engine AND change the timing belt in less than 4 hours.
It took a local Toyota dealer 5 hours to turn rotors on my Tundra (that I had already removed from the truck for them) and even then, it was a mediocre job. They're honest and upfront, which is hard to find these days! Nippon is the only place I'll take my car to, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new Japanese import shop.
