I needed help getting my front plates on the car, I drove up and they immediately helped me, and James (who was awesome) even washed my car as a courtesy. Will definitely book an appointment for my routine maintenance here - 10/10

These guys are awesome. It is such a relief to find a garage that I trust and find reliable. They're always helpful and straightforward about things. I've now gone to them twice when I needed work done quickly; I used to go to the Toyota dealership and will probably never go back because I trust these guys way more. They really are the real deal.

These are not the cheapest guys in town, but I've had professional service there several times for my Toyota Prius. I feel they weren't trying to upsell me on work that didn't need to be done, but also found and repaired some work I didn't know about in advance but was clearly in need of repair. I will return.

Update (1/4/22) They are still amazing and I would give them another 5 star review if google would let me. Best car shop in Denver! Amazing service and amazing people. Extremely quality work done on my car. I'm from Minnesota and so is the owner of the shop. He was trained at the shop in Minnesota my mom goes to. Great shop if your looking to support a neighborhood car shop especially if you are also from Minnesota.

I would not get work done on my car anywhere in colorado but here at Downing Street Garage. Please take your car there, you will not be disappointed. For example, I dropped my car off early and they fixed it early for me. Just incredible work and service. Words do not describe how amazing of a car shop Downing Street Garage truly is. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Best car shop in Colorado. They should have 6/5 stars for being so amazing. The fact that they only have 3.5 stars on here is ridiculous. They are the best car repair shop in Denver. They always go above and beyond what I ask them to do. The other day I didn't have an appointment and had a ski resort parking sticker stuck on my car window. They took it off for no charge and I did not even ask for help.

They are so kind and always help me with whatever I need. I frequently call them with car questions and they are always happy to answer. Best car shop around! I only get my car fixed here and I recommend you do the same!

TLDR: My goodness, these guys are INSANELY overpriced. They communicated well and were quite pleasant, to their credit. My car wouldn't start over the weekend and it seemed like a starter issue. After AAA tried to jump it and couldn't I had them tow to a garage within range which unfortunately was Downing street. Turns out there was nothing wrong except for needing a new battery, which I found out after spending almost 4 days without a car while they got around to running diagnostics.

To their credit they did warn me of the wait ahead of time. I really should have just bought a battery and brought it over there with me to pick the car up and installed it myself but I felt like that might not be the correct way to do things given it was already at rhe garage. Now I am kicking myself for even thinking about being polite because it cost me $350 for them to change my freaking battery.totally unreal. Unless you don't mind being overcharged you should go elsewhere.

Very clean waiting area and the staff was very welcoming. The mechanic took me back to my car to get under it and see what the repair was. The dealer was going to charge me $550 and the DSG secured the piece that was in good shape and I was on my way. Very grateful to have found them!

This shop is the best and I'll never take a car anywhere else again. Very honest and straightforward with excellent communication. After contacting the dealer to find out why my car was making a scraping noise and being told they couldn't fit me into their schedule for over 3 months, I called Downing St Garage and they were able to see me and replace my brakes in one day. They also informed me that I have an extended warranty on a steering wheel issue which I intend to have them fix in the near future (at Hyundai's expense).

For a neighborhood repair shop, this place has that classic 1950's "know your neighbor" type of feel. Very professional, walked me through all of the points on my inspection, tire rotation, and oil change. Plus, if you live nearby, you can just drop it off and walk back home!

These guys are awesome. I got my clutch replaced plus a few other things and they quoted me an extremely reasonable price and a quick responsive turnaround time (+ a very responsive clutch). Of all the shops I've been to over the 6 years in Denver, this is the top of my list! Thank you!

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value Got my vehicle towed here. They couldn't find the keys for a whole day. Then, they proceed to tell me they finally found the keys. The following day at 230PM they called me and said they would not work on my lock cylinder and had to get another tow to a dealership. Would not waste your time here am now 3 days without a vehicle.

We have always been happy with the work done here. It's my understanding that they only employ master mechanics so a simple tire change may not be economical here, but the usual servicing as well as repairs which require some expertise are reasonably priced. Have always been quick and reliable. They even replaced a windshield wiper they had installed a few months prior that flew off when I turned it on for free.

I was referred to DSG by a technician at the shop my Dad dealt with in Omaha, Nebraska! Professionalism from the office to the service bays. My cars are always ready when promised. Higher quality service justifies only a slightly higher cost. Much better confidence in assessment and service here than any of the chain shops I've dealt with.even during COVID!

I am from out of town and needed to take my car somewhere for repair after a bit of time sitting. Downing Street was ver accommodating and got me in last minute. They were incredibly efficient and helpful, explaining everything and not suggesting that I repair anything that was wasn't absolutely in need. They were safe and smart about COVID-19 precautions, doing an entirely contactless drop off and pick up.

They even santi tides the inside of my car for me. I would 100% recommend this garage to anyone who lives in Colorado they are definitely a place you can trust to give you the real details and a fair price.

I had lower power in my Subaru for a year--took it in to two other shops multiple times to figure out what it was but they never figured it out and their suggested repairs never fixed it. Took it to Downing Street and they diagnosed the problem quickly and tested to make sure that their diagnoses was correct. Now its like driving a whole new car. They were professional and 100% clear about their charges and estimates. Great experience! Thank you!

We've had an onslaught of issues with used cars we have purchased recently, and Tyson and the team at Downing Street Garage have been fantastic in helping us get everything sorted out. They are everything you are looking for in a mechanic - honest, transparent, professional, thorough, communicative, patient, reliable.the list goes on. They work diligently to get to the bottom of the issue, and honestly, it is the cleanest shop I have ever seen, which I think is a clear indicator of their focus on quality work. They are always pleasant and easy to work with. If you have any issues with your car, I highly recommend calling these guys!

Highly recommend. Seriously kick-butt customer service and knowledgeable dudes. Truck wouldn't start. Had it towed in. Found out.my mat was covering my gas pedal. All that heartache and anxiety for nothing. As luck would have it, I brought my truck here where they didn't laugh at me (God knows they should have) and didn't even charge me for their valuable time.

They did a full check up to make sure there was nothing else wrong, and as luck would have it, nothing else was. Seriously, these guys are awesome and I'd recommend them to anyone.

They do great work for a great price. The owner of the shop, Ben I think his name is, even rode around with me so I could try and replicate the noise I was hearing! What other shop would go to that level of service?!? Another story, I priced out tires at a big name tire shop and they found me some new shoes for cheaper! Remarkable! I have been going here for YEARS and every time I leave, I feel like RAINBOWS ARE SHOOTING OUT OF MY EYEBALLS! UPDATE - Went in to Downing the other day with a front right tire losing air.

The actual owner of the shop, handsome devil, Ben I believe his name was. Gets out the jack, patches the leak and now my tire is actually gaining air! If you dont believe me, look at the picture below!

You're paying for convenience and speed here, but be careful and call around first. Moving to a new garage wasn't worth the marginal savings for me so I got alternator replaced. Extremely kind, fast service. Expect very high diagnostic prices and expensive labor, and watch out for questionable recommendations. They recommended I change my transmission fluid.which is always a red flag.especially since we got it done 10K ago! Always tough to find and judge a mechanic. I'd come back if in a pinch again.

There are few things in life more aggravating than car problems! We have found the cure for auto angst at the Downing Street Garage. Every time an issue arises we call the guys, let them know what's up and they fit us right in. Recently I called for a minor check of fluids and they said bring it in anytime and we'll do it immediately. From rebuilding my power steering system within a day, to oil changes, the service is friendly, efficient, and the prices are fair. One other thing I like is the shop is immaculate and attractive, and the guys are knowledgeable and polite. I am fortunate to live close to this first-rate auto repair shop!

These guys are awesome. I was heading out on a road trip and needed to replace a headlight in a hurry last minute. They popped them in within an hour same day and got me on my way!

Swung by late one evening to look at a fast leaking tire. They got it repaired that night and my mind was put to ease on the drive home.

My car's alternator and battery died, so my car was towed here. When I came to pick up my car, the lock was broken and there was an odd clicking sound. When I called, I spoke to the manager (Tyson) who immediately became argumentative and denied having anything to do with the issues. He refused to even take a look at the issue, accusing me of being "one of those 'ever-since' people", referring to how 'ever since' I took my car in, more issues have been created. Seems like more than a coincidence that this garage seems to experience a lot of those people.

I relied on these guys for two years for any service I needed to get done on my low-mileage, late model turbo Talon and they always delivered. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and high quality workmanship.

Great customer service! I brought in my car when it wouldn't start and it ended up having four separate issues; they had it done in two days and set me up with Enterprise to have a rental car in the meantime. AND called me an Uber to get to the Enterprise store. A few days later I heard a strange noise in the back of my car. Apparently my lug nuts on my tires were loose, they tightened all of them and didn't charge me anything even though they didn't even touch my tired in the repair! Very nice guys, would highly recommend!

Brought my car in to get the oil changed. I was told my upper radiator hose was leaking and It needed to be changed. I was quoted $160 dollars to replace the hose. The price sounded steep so I brought It Grease Monkey and just picked up my car with a new hose for $66.

5 Stars ALL THE WAY! Brought a newly bought Audi R8 in to have it inspected 48 hours after purchasing it! They caught a major issue with the Clutch and Gear Shifting mechanics! Saved me $10,000 dollars and was able to have the dealership repair it under there 5 day guarentee! Best $126 I have ever spent, I trust these guys, I trust the owner Ben and they handled my High end car like pros! Highly recommend! Been using Downing Street Garage for years and they only get better and better!

It's been a tough year for my car. Hit twice, windshield cracked twice, underside mangled from highway debris. Dave fixed the underside up in 15 minutes and even cleaned up the scrapes on the bumper at no extra charge. Awesome guy, really helpful and kind on the phone, and most importantly, he saved me the worry of sinking another several hundred dollars into my ten year old car. I'm not saying that you should walk in and expect to get stuff for free -- don't be a jerk -- but these guys know what they're doing and they do it honestly.

Worst service I have received regarding my vehicle. They change their diagnostics a lot trying to rip you off. They charge my insurance and me after even though my deductible was $500. They said if I didn't pay $2000 dollars I would not be able to get my car. Super dishonest and sketchy place.

From the owners, to the front desk staff, to the guys wrenching Downing Street has it all going on. If you want honest (imagine, right!?), great mechanics who will take good care of your car in a reasonable turn around time then look no further!

Broken trust Recently I took my car in for a repair and got a quote of over $6k to complete the repair. I am not a car person and have relied on their expertise for years. After taking the car other locations, including a dealership, the repair was only $2k. Rather than be honest and upfront, they chose this path. it has now called into question what others services were unwarranted. I encourage all to think twice before selecting them.

. I called them before I had my car towed, told them the make and model, the guy said we are always cheaper and quicker than the dealership bring it over. I had it towed over. He called me after $200 of diagnostic fees and he said I need a new fuel pump that would cost me $1,760! I called my dealership to verify that price and they said their price was $599.

I immediately called back, he said hold on, then said I can do it for $800. So if I didn't call he was going to gauge me nearly $1000. The dealership said 5 days Downing Street took 12. They are more expensive and take longer than the dealership. These people are complete crooks trying to take advantage of inoperable cars on their lot. The legal definition of that is extortion. Mr. B - I appreciate your comment. I'm sure that you are able to please many customers and I too wish you the best of luck as well.

I used to go to this place all the and always heard really good things about it. I ended up inheriting a subaru from some family and took it in here to get an oil change. The first time they said a ton of work needed to be done, so I invested about $1,000 in the car. I had just gotten the car and trusted them so I went ahead with it. The next oil change the said that another $1,000 of work was needed.

I checked in with my family and showed them the old receipt and downing streets recommendation for the new work. It turned out that the exact work had been done two months prior. Downing Street was fabricating faulty equipment. I took it to two other shops just to see if the work really needed to be done and both shops said definitely not. Please don't waste your money here! Just because they advertise on npr doesn't mean they're reputable!

New customer, and my highest rating. Great service, timely, reasonably priced.the very best. I told them my budget, and they took care of things I thought would be outside my budget. I don't know if it's their policy, but they gave me a ride home and picked me up when it was done.
