Western Transmission

In todays work environment I've gotten used to people being super lazy and not really caring about you. That was absolutely not the case here! Cory was so awesome. We broke down on our way home 20 minutes outside of town with our 3 kids and dog. He hooked us up with the kindest tow truck company, I think his name was Stan. They came fast and picked us up.

Then western transmission did everything they could to get us fixed up so we could finish our drive home. Thank you so so much for taking care of us and making us feel like you cared.

Absolutely amazing customer service I was broke down in Idaho Falls I am from Carlsbad New Mexico and they put me ahead of everybody to get me fixed and out of there the guys were super friendly and just one of the best businesses I've ever had to deal with I would recommend them to anybody.

I needed empty ring and pinion gear boxes. Employees were glad to help and didn't forget when they came available. This shows customer service and their values.

Highly recommend. They had my transmission built and installed in about 3 days. Nice to support local. Also Corey is a ton of help getting you what you need.

Made appointment mid July for August 12. Called a week before appointment and suggested I bring vehicle in August 11 since I had to travel nearly 100 miles. When I came in August 11 there was no record of my appointment. Service writer said no problem they would get it in next day and call me in the morning. I called on the 12th am and was told they would pull the transmission pan and call early afternoon with diagnosis. 4 PM I called and was told they were getting it in. 4:45 I get a call that my transmission is trash and for just $4000 I could get a transmission.

I said put the pan back on and I would pick up on the 13th mid day. Got there at 3:30 and writer says we have to wait while he writes the bill. I get billed $176.00 for removing my pan and replacing. The crazy part, the original estimate was to replace solenoid pack for nearly the same cost. They also used the trans fluid and filter I provided. Not happy

Brought my transmission in to have it looked at and we decided it would be better to order a rebuilt transmission. I was told 6 days would be the time till its ready for pick up. Today marks a month that I have been waiting. I still don't have it and won't for another week "hopefuly". not impressed. I use my truck for work and have had to pay for a rental this whole time.

I've almost sent as much on the rental as I will for the transmission. I will not be recommending this service to anyone who needs their vehicle fixed in any short amount of time

I highly recommend Western Transmission! I run a transport business and my truck's transfer case blew up on me. They not only fit me in that day but they were able to find a replacement when all other places were on backorder. And they got me back on the road by the end of the day and didn't try to hit me hard on the price because of the urgency and the limited availability of the part I needed. These guys are AMAZING and they know their stuff.

I came to Western Transmission in August for a second opinion on a car problem we thought was a transmission problem. Our car kept breaking down. After looking into it they determined it was an overheating problem on our Nissan. So they ordered an extra part for cooling, installed it, and I have had no issues since. It has been 9 months now! Just wanted to come back and leave a good review. These people are really good at what they do.

Great people to work with they know what's up fast and do what's right for you. They don't over changes for something you don't need.

I was traveling from California and my trucks transfer case failed. Fortunately, I was referred to them. They had my part in stock and installed it the same day. Cory was my service advisor and he was excellent! If you want the best, go here!

I have no complaints, I brought in my car on 10/7/18 because I expected it needed a new torque converter. After a quick inspection done by Corey, it was found that the transmission pan gasket was faulty. The whole staff seems friendly and concerned about your car personally. I am happy with the work and am building a relationship with western transmission. I hope I have no issues with my car in the future, but if I do, western transmission can help me.

This is the only place in Idaho Falls or Blackfoot I would take a vehicle for transmission work. I have been here several times and they fix the problem and if there is no problem they do not charge you. I trust them and they do a great job.

This is a first for me. I usually don't write reviews but Cory and the guys at Western States do great work. Don't waste your time having someone else look at your transmission or clutch problems. Take it to Western Transmission and you'll have it fixed right and be treated right!

Having gone through 4 transmission total, having them done at multiple shops, this place is by far the best place to go. They seem to really care and see where your coming from and try and help, and stand behind their work.

Western Transmission is a great transmission shop. They are quick and thorough in their work. They take care of their customers, and I would recommend them to anyone out there. There prices are very fair and competitive.

These guys are great. Super friendly to the diy crowd - answered all of my questions and gave me a heads up on what to look for and how to do preventative maintenance myself. They filled me in on what was going on, what they thought was needed and not. If I lived in Idaho Falls permanently I wouldn't take transmission work I needed done anywhere else.

Corey knows his stuff and has worked with about every auto transmission there is, including custom builds for performance trucks and cars. Is also very good with customer relations.

I had repair done on my car at this place, they were very thorough in what needed to be done and they were very knowledgeable and knew their stuff, and honest, and also got me in a day prior than when I was scheduled. I definitely recommend them!!! Very satisfied at their work!

My wife and I are very impressed with these guys, was a great experience from the moment we walked through the door, to the completion of our vehicles, we took our car in and then our truck in the next day for some steering issues, they were great to work with awesome customer service had our vehicles done at a fashionable rate, and well priced, definitely will have all our vehicle repairs from here on out , and would be more than willing to recommend to everyone I know thanks cory and the rest of the western transmission team awesome work!!!
