This is honestly one of the best shops in Kingston they give quality, they're completely honest and they try to get your vehicle out to you as soon as possible I've been going here for a while never had a problem with them. They always give me quality work and charge fair prices. I trust this shop to do the maintenance on my cars definitely will be coming back. Thanks sharp transmission for the quality. These guys are honest and truthful. I definitely recommend them. I thought my jeep transmission was leaking and requested the pan gasket to be replaced. The crew informed me that it was not transmission fluid but oil leaking near the bell housing (classic Oil filter adapter assembly area ). Fast service, got me in and out right away.

Milt and Team were super to a stranger/refugee come to town with an old car and broken a/c during some of the hottest days just post-plandemic opening. I was so grateful to be seen right away even though they are super busy, receive fast and kind, patient service, reasonable prices for the assessment of the problem, honest assistance in purchasing a cheap returnable part through e-bay to fix the problem, and be able to return at no further installation cost for the part, once it arrived. Very professional. Thank you so so much! Highly recommend. This is my new mechanic as I become a permanent resident. Thank you again!

The way that I was treated at Sharp was what sets them apart from other shops I have been to. I and my vehicle were handled respectfully and I appreciated that staff listened to my concerns and worked with me to solve my problem instead of trying to push me to get tons of unnecessary repairs done. These guys took my car in same day and did an amazing job at a competitive price. They texted me before-and-after photos of all of the parts they changed (i got a new clutch). It made me feel confident seeing photo evidence of my car parts going from hurtin' to brand new. highly recommended!

I was having engine trouble on my way up to Lake Placid for a trip, and I found myself at the closest auto shop, which was Sharp. I could not have gotten luckier--they took such good care of me, they even called to check on me a few days later for a follow-up when I was driving back. Super service, friendly people, great business. Highly recommend.

I have had four or five cars fixed by Milt and his crew over the past 30 years. Each and every time, I have been absolutely satisfied with the quality of the repairs, the cost of the repairs, and the high level of communication to keep me in the decision process. They don't come any better than these guys. When I have a problem that needs an expert, they are the place that I think of first.

The folks at Sharpe always provide friendly and efficient service. Often they go out of their way. Case in point, I recently went in For an inspection, and they noticed my back up screen was Streaked so they cleaned my back up mirror. I didn’t even know where the Back up mirror was. But what happened today was beyond the call of duty. I was parking my car at my job, when someone drove up and advised me that my gas cap was off. Turned out to be a mechanic From Sharpe who noticed the cap was off while I was driving on Ulster Avenue. He followed me into the parking lot to let me know. I was flabbergasted that someone had taken the time to do that. You can’t pay for that kind of service.

Milton and his crew are friendly, direct, competent and most importantly, HONEST. I've been to many mechanics in my life. Never have I felt as if I was treated so professionally by he and his entire crew of top notch mechanics. I know I'll always be treated fairly and my car will be purring. Everyone takes time to explain the job at hand and gives you a very clear estimate with no bullshit.

They will even go over all issues to prioritize what should be taken care of ASAP and what can safely wait to save you as much as possible. I won't take my car anywhere else in Ulster County. Best thing I ever did was stop going to the VW dealership and take a chance on this place on the advice of local friends. To have a real crew of friendly honest mechanics who have your back is a pretty awesome feeling.

I thought I would miss my mechanic back home, but Milt has surpassed them. Everyone is kind & friendly. The prices are fair & they do great work. We are moving again due to a job change & are most bummed to lose this place.

I told Milt today that we named our car Milt in his honor. That got a good laugh : But in all seriousness, you can't go wrong here. Why go to a corporate chain, when there are still trustworthy independently owned shops like this?

I have always dreaded needing to go to the mechanic. I know very little about cars, so I often feel unsure of how truthful mechanics are being with me, or belittled for my lack of knowledge. When I needed to find a local mechanic in the area I was impressed with Sharp's Yelp reviews and decided to give them a try. I have to say it was the most pleasant experience I have ever had with a mechanic.

I got an appointment for the next day, and they completed the work very quickly. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Milton explained things to me, without making me feel dumb - even in a situation where I most certainly should have known better. They completed what I needed done and did not pressure me to do anything more. In fact, one of the things I requested was clearly unnecessary, and they didn't do it, nor did they charge me for looking into it. I have no doubt that I will be returning here for all of my car's needs! Customer service at its best!

My car broke down on the thruway, four hours from my home. The tow truck driver recommended this company as the place to drop it at. Dealing with an unfamiliar repair shop is always stressful, but I could not be more happy with this place. Sharp put in a used transmission for me, and I have not had a single problem since. The car runs like new here six months later, and Sharp even put in a muffler I needed within the same price.

When my local shop could not handle my car's transmission problem, I was advised to go to Sharp in Kingston. Milt had the car towed and called me with my options. After making an informed decision and giving Milt the OK, he began the work and called to give me bad news: the vehicle, 10 years old, had multiple additional problems. The cost to repair exceeded the value of the vehicle. Milt kept the car until I was able to get it hauled away, made a recommendation for a replacement vehicle and charged me a minimal charge for the work. How respectable.

Fried clutch left me stranded in Kingston. Milt and his crew diagnosed the problem immediately, found parts from the dealer, and installed them over the weekend. Couldn't be happier with their service.

Very happy with the service I received here! Gentleman I spoke with was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. He called me as soon as the problem was diagnosed, thoroughly explained it to me and then had it fixed 3 hours faster than he originally quoted! If the need ever arises I will return here for service!
