Dave Jr. started working for his dad in the very beginning when Dave Sr. opened the doors for business at the current location in Tallmadge, Ohio. Prior to that Dave Sr. owned several service stations throughout the Akron area where Dave Jr. worked his way through high school. After High School, Dave Jr. got his Associates degree in Automotive Technology from Northwestern Business College. He is currently an ASE certified master technician and an ASE Advanced Level Specialist.
When Dave Sr. chose to retire in the fall of 2010, Dave Jr. stepped into his place. Dave Jr. strives to uphold his father's legacy and the core values that Christopher's Car Care was built around. History repeated itself once again in the summer of 2011 when Dave Jr.'s oldest child Mike came to work for him the same he had done over 30 years ago. Dave and his wife Sandy have two kids, Mike and Ashley, and their beloved dog Mickey. Dave is an avid outdoorsman; he enjoys spending time with his family, and going to all of his kids's events and activities.

They did a great job with repairing my ECM and wiring, fast, and proficiently and they replaced my ECM for under 1800 along with the transmission cooler line. However, the reason I give them a 3 star is because the [same] day I got my car back the engine light came on. And I plugged in my reader. And got 2 error codes from the engine. When i called them I expected them to fix it for me and only charge me for the repair.
But no. they expect me to pay another $130 for a diagnosis fee [again]. They should have made sure of the problem before releasing it to me. This is a mistake on their part. I recommend going to them for repairs, but they money gouge you on the fees. So, think about it if you will. Let's just hope they get everything.

Christopher's Car Care found issues with my car that weren't picked up by Pep Boys or my official dealership. The problems they fixed completely solved my problems. I was terrified that I'd have to spend thousands on a new hybrid battery, and I was actually looking into buying a new car because of this. After taking my car here, it is working as good as new. I could not recommend this place higher.

Top notch company. I am a new customer and I am impressed with the knowledgeable and friendly people here. I found out that I have broken, unique suspension system option on my old 4Runner. Most of the places in canton wouldn't touch it and the ones that would were $$$$. I called here based on their reviews and Dan knew the system and quoted me a reasonable price. Picked it up yesterday and it drives great. Well done! I'll be back.

I took 2014 ford transit in because when I bought it used they put in a after market radio. The battery kept on going dead. So they said it was continuing to draw power after the van was shut off. So they ordered a part that was supposed to solve that, they gave me a price around $500-$600 dollars to fix it, I said ok. I drove the van there. Keep in mind there working with the electrical system.
They call me & say the main computer just happen to go out plus some part in the door handle, it just happened while they were working on it. Talked to Ford dealer & other mechanic they both say they shorted out the computer when they were working on it & they are covering the buts. I have been a electrical contractor for 20 yrs I know that happens!
They said it was not there fault. So another appropriate $1200-$1300 later that I had to pay to replace the computer. Picked up my van IT STILL DID THE SAME THING. So I took it back they said the backup camera was causing the battery draining problem & the only thing they could do is disconnect it. So now $2100 later they put in the part that was supposed to take care of the problem, had to pay to replace computer that I believe they shorted out, plus now I don't have a back up camera.
Don't question the owner about anything, starts out being nice but as soon as you question him or anything gets very defensive and angry. I WOULD Never Send ANYBODY THERE I LIKED. In 40 yrs if dealing with mechanics & vehicles WORST experience ever

Thank you for the service. I hope everyone is as passionate and as honest as you guys. Even customers where voicing out their satisfaction to me as a stranger, its like being in a restaurant and everyone is chiming in on how the food was great and still have some food in their mouths. We have been bringing our cars to Christopher's Car Care for 30 years. The service has always been friendly, of the highest quality, and reasonably priced. We have also been treated with the utmost courtesy and respect, and the ethics and professionalism of everyone who works there are impeccable. We would never even think of taking our cars anywhere else.

Great experience! They beat the price they quoted by about $100. But this is still about 15% more than the prices quoted from other garages in the area (not including the diagnosis fee, just parts and labor). They were fast, thorough, and didn't put any pressure on you. I still need work done on my car, so I will be taking it back here instead of taking it to my usual mechanic 200 miles away.

I have been a customer at Christopher's Car Care for quite a few years. I make an appointment and my car is serviced by professionals. The staff is friendly, professional and the building is clean and comfortable. My service records are maintained and their prices are very affordable, I spent many years pricing repairs. The best part is I know it's done and done right. Christopher's Car Care is a family owned business with a vested interest in the community.

Honest, clean, polite I never wonder what is going on with my car. They keep detailed records so they know when a part is still under warranty and they take care of it. I have been going here for 10+years now and will not take my vehicles anywhere else. The lobby is so clean and large. I used to take my toddlers there and they would play with the toys in the lobby while we waited for the car. Seriously the nicest car place around.

First of all I am not a regular customer, but I will be, second of all I'm not a friend, but I will be I had the best car care experience, I looked on google for a hybrid specialist in my area and Christopher's was the only place outside a dealership near me and I had bad experiences with dealerships so I said I will give this place a shot and I'm glad I did. Dan went way over and above and thought outside of the box to fix my car and was honest with me and they are affordable. Hybrids are not cheap if you have an issue, and Dan was able to come up with a plan to fix my car for way cheaper.
It's also the small things giving your customers respect, and didn't make me feel like as a paying customer was putting them out. I felt they explained what was wrong with my car and how they fixed it thoroughly and answered my questions in a respectful way. My car sat for six mos. so I had not just the one major issue to fix I had little issues that I wasn't paying attention but Dan was, i had my car towed there and didn't have current plates on my car, and he was kind enough to put my 30 day tag on and remove and properly dispose of my old plates so I can be on my way.
Thank you Dan I'm usually sad and unhappy going to see a car Doctor, but that wasn't the case here THANK YOU and I will be back for any hybrid needs or regular car maintenance.

After an already awful morning I realized I had a flat, spent over an hour trying to work my RUSTED together emergency car Jack, finally got it, and then couldn't kick the tire loose. Then instead of My guy friend trying to kick it loose he said oh just drive it on the flat to get it fixed, so he undid all my work I did then left! Almost in tears at this point and needing to get home to Cleveland, I happened upon Christopher's car care and my whole day turned around. They were so nice and friendly, joking around while they got me back on the road in no time! I hope I break down in Akron again!

Wow, great customer service, best since I moved from PA three and a half years ago. I have tried six different places looking for the high standards I was use too! They did a complete check up the first time I brought my car in. They didn't try to sell me or do extra things like the places with the cheap oil change specials. Their estimate was accurate to what they had to do.
They told me the things that would need to be done in the future according to my useage. They even offered to take me home and return the car because I didn't have another vehicle available.
