It was a pretty major repair job, engine replacement and brake job on my 2004 Outback wagon. I appreciated the effort to keep me informed as the project proceeded! They told me my entire exhaust needed replaced because it was completely rusted out. I asked them specifically. Quoted me $3400. Then I took it to muffler city. They replaced what needed to be replaced and said no it wasn't completely rusted out. I asked them specifically. End cost was $619. A&A tried to rip me off. They have lost my business forever. Enjoy your $169 diagnostic fee you A&A HOLES!

I love this shop, very friendly, they actually listen to you and care about you as a human being. The shuttle service is super helpful and reinforces that they care about their customers. For over twenty years I have been more than happy with the service I have received atA@A. I'm especially impressed with Dexter. He is not only courteous and helpful but knows what he is talking about which is unusual for an intake person. Ihave and will continue to recommend A@A to anyone. I have had 7 Subarus over the years and would never get work done anywhere else especially not across the street

I wanted to thank Aaron, John and Riley for all the work they have done on my car over the past few months. Buying a new or used car right now is absolutely a nightmare. I decided to keep my car and let the guys put a new engine in it. That was successful! There were a few more details that needed to be completed before the car was running just like before. I called them from home at 10 am on a Tuesday in mid-January to make an appointment for a diagnosis of a slight metal screech in the right rear tire. They said they could look at it immediately so I got there within fifteen minutes. Within another half-hour the diagnosis was easily made that I needed new brakes all around. The technician promptly carried on with the job while I was given a ride back home in their shuttle.
At 5:15 pm I got the call that it was ready but I waited until the next morning to pick it up. I called them at 7:30 am for another shuttle ride which arrived within fifteen minutes. By 8:15 am I was pulling out of their lot with all new brakes and in disbelief that it had all taken place in less than twenty-four hours. Their shuttle driver went off shift at 3:00 pm but If it had been necessary for me to pick it up Tuesday afternoon, Kevin said he would stay a little late to drive the shuttle and come give me a ride.
That could potentially have meant that total elapsed time spent on the task for me, from easy chair to easy chair, was only six hours. Incredible service, friendly, courteous, and very helpful people. Highly recommended.

I've used both the Anchorage and Eagle River "A&A The Shop" locations. Both locations did outstanding work and provided excellent customer service. But I must mention Zack at the Eagle River location. He went above and beyond my expectations; I had just met him, was broke-down along the road and couldn't get an immediate tow. Zack helped me retrieve the car, had it quickly diagnosed (transmission), gave me a fast turnaround date with a fair price, plus gave me a loaner vehicle! He has set a high standard. Won't use any other shop for our Subaru.

Fast, efficient service. Making an appointment was a breeze. Dropped the car after work and it was done by 10am the next morning. Reasonable price to swap out headlights and they came with a 3 year warranty. Although a bit of a hidden gem tucked down a backroad the shop looked very clean and professional. Will definitely return in the future for any issues with my Subaru.

This is the only place I'll take my Outback. Zack is knowledgable, courteous, personable and trustworthy. He gives me plenty of warning if something looks like it might need replacing soon and I've never felt like I'm being sold something I don't need. So I have recently been to A&A for multiple things regarding my two Subarus, I have a 2009 Forester, and a 2014 STI. I can honestly say that the service I have received here has been great, from the front counter (Alex is awesome btw) to the technicians who completed my work. I need an oil change on both my cars and a scan for a CEL on my Forester. they scanned it no problem and told me it was a Cat code and instead of pushing a $1500 repair i was told to give something else a try to clean out the Cat and maybe that would help resolve it.
Nothing was ever pushed needlessly and the pricing I got was great. I dislike dealerships with a passion and the fact that I have trained subaru techs working on my car makes me very happy. I will always bring my two soobs here for whatever i may need.

Zack was really helpful, informative and explained everything in pretty good detail. Answered all our questions.. They got our car in quicker than we expected and rebuilt the engine plus some other work in roughly a week.. Could of been a few days less once the work started.. Anyway zack called and kept us informed of the progress and checked on any additional work before doing it. Fast, and friendly with a good 36 month or 36,000 mile warranty.. Just picked the car up today and it's driving and sounding really good. Thank you all over there at A&A

The customer service here is great. Dexter and Alex were fantastic. I took my car in twice to get it looked at and they got it repaired on the same days. I brought my newly-bought used car in thinking that it only needed a ball joint replaced - after an inspection it turned out that there were a lot of issues that needed to be resolved to make my Subaru Outback safe to drive. The staff were incredibly friendly and understanding about my frustration with all of the unforeseen issues with this vehicle, and continued fixing my car until it was good to go, even comping me for a ball joint they replaced that wasn't the main issue.
I was worried that because I don't know a lot about cars that I'd be taken advantage of, but they explained what needed fixed and why it needed fixed. They communicated with me with every thing that came up, and I will definitely be going back with any problems I have. I could not recommend them more.

I was having some mysterious issues with my subaru and I called around and was told no one could get me in for 2 weeks. I called up A&A and they asked me to come in and in the end, it took them about 15 minutes to fix a simple but extremely important car part. I could not be more grateful for them and plan to take my car here in the future!

We have been using A & A for all of our Subaru needs for about 5 years now. I love that I can always trust them to be honest about what needs done.
