The service was better than expected and they completed the job in a timely manner. Also, the staff is wonderful. I would recommend that any woman that doesn't know what shop to use for repairs, this is the place to go.

This is my first time with National but my family has brought their vehicles here for their transmission rebuilds as a matter of fact my dads 2001 Silverado got a transmission rebuilt seven years ago and it’s running like a champ. I brought in my 2007 Tahoe and since the beginning I noticed the great costumer service from Donnie at the front desk. I got my truck back in a timely manner and to leave an honest review I do have to say that my truck had to go back to them a few days later but the costumer service was present. I understand things happen but I’m sure that the team at National will have everything good to go. Thanks to the team and l I’ll update as soon as I get my truck back.

I drive for 02 Buick LeSabre and the majority of the parts on my car is over 20 years old, National Transmission has pretty much rebuild my 21year old car. They've done work on my front end, my power steering, rebuild my transmission and many other thing that was needed to my car. National Transmission is very thorough and I highly recommend them, I give them 5 stars ⭐ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I understand markups for parts, but 100% to over 200% markups here are excessive, especially with the "competitive" separate labor charge. Updates on repair progress should be given regularly, AT LEAST once a full business day, without the customer having to text, call, or stop by to ask. Barring any warranty work, I will not be coming back.

Figured out my Christmas tree of lights was simply my snapshot device from progressive! Very quick and kind.

Not really convenient shop to go to. I had to schedule multiple appointments to have services done. Other shops were willing to have my repairs done in a day versus this one. also this shop didn't have a part ready in time which caused me to schedule another appointment to have them resolve it. Customers like myself don't like the inconvenience and also don't like how the shop is not available for other services besides what's listed or mentioned.

I won't recommend this shop If God advised me to. Spending thousands and thousands of dollars on what should be top notch service made me realize that if you go to a trashy shop who like to scam people in a lower poverty location expect for them to treat customers like trash. Also since the shop is in a minority neighborhood how come the owner don't invest in having black and brown employees especially at the front.

One of the best experiences I've had after a few different auto shops in the area, and now the #1 place I will trust. I have a 2004 Honda that is doing it's best to get me through college and it needed an alternator repair. They made it a smooth, quick experience and definitely recommend them!

Would highly recommend. We bought my girlfriend a used kia a few months ago and not knowing the history of the car at 106k miles it's tough to know if you should actually change the transmission fluid or not. I was really hoping we would be able to change the transmission fluid for longevities sake - I put it through it's paces before purchasing and it was shifting and driving great.

You aren't able to actually look at the ATF fluid on the dipstick anymore to gauge if it's been changed/how dirty it is since most manufactures have removed the Transmission fluid dipstick. so finding a place that would actually evaluate the situation was very import to me. Even the dealers we called didn't ask about the history and when asked just said they would change it but they couldn't guarantee if it was the right thing to do.

Well I didn't like that! It's not rocket science. I found NT and the reviews were great - we called and explained the situation and Donnie is the man! He scheduled us for a diagnostic at a reasonable price to be credited towards any work we ended up getting done with NT. Dropped it off for a diagnostic and they confirmed a few hours later that the transmission was in good condition and that the fluid wasn't super dirty (i.e had likely been changed at some point).

They changed the fluid for a competitive price and we picked the car back up the same day. Excellent service, knowledgable and experienced staff! Thank you Donnie and NT Team!

I had a leak in the transmission of my 20 year old Subaru and my regular mechanic recommended National. It was easy for them to give me an estimate and there was no attempt to up-sell me when they did the work. It came in exactly on their estimate and the car now runs better than ever! I towed my 2005 Toyota Corolla to National Transmission when my shifter wouldn't engage. It seemed like a decent shop based on the Google reviews. It took them 2 days to complete the diagnostic assessment. Ultimately, they tried to charge me $822 to replace the entire shifting cable system (half labor, half parts) when it needed a $3 plastic cable grommet and about 10 minutes worth of labor.

I paid the diagnostic fee and immediately had my car towed away. Another mechanic fixed the issue within an hour for $50. When will shady mechanics stop attempting to take advantage of women? Beware of this shop.

I got an estimate from National Transmission through their website. Pricing was very fair and better than other estimates I had gotten from other shops. Dropped my truck off, and when I picked it up, it was great. Dealing with Jimmy in the office was very nice, he was friendly and communicative, answered all my questions, and made the experience that much better. I recommend National Transmission, and I'll use them again if I need other repairs.

National transmission and their staff are very friendly and honest shop. I came in with my car because it was acting funny and had a couple codes. They took a look at it for free, at no charge. They did a thorough investigation on my codes that came up, they didn’t try to take my money. They were honest and wanted to research on the codes and find me the best deal.

They hands down took great take care of me. We’re quick and easy on getting the car done and we’re nice enough to pick me up from work on the day my car was ready so I would be able to get it!!

On my way home from Dallas I lost the 3rd and 4th gears in my transmission! They just quit working. Once I got home I researched the issue and found out that this is a very common problem on C5 Corvette transmissions. I called Rudy and he educated me on the fact that the "OE" parts were not robust enough to last in this particular transmission. He uses HD replacement parts which will stand the text of time.

I now have my weekend cruiser back and noticed that the car actually is super smooth with no vibration any more. The car is "better" than it was before. Great job to Rudy and the team. You guys are awesome! David Wofford, Houston, TX

My family has had several vehicles serviced by National Transmission over the years, as far back as 2007. We have all been satisfied with the service, the extremely good customer service and they honor their warranties. We highly recommend them as a repair service center.

These guys did the suncoast performance kit and trans-go shift kit build in my GMC Duramax with a 5 speed Allison transmission. They had a great turnaround speed and the price was the best out of four other shops in Houston and the surrounding areas. I looked around and researched for about two weeks, and found national transmission. they kept me up to date and asked before replacing any parts and gave me options. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a build on your transmission.

Great guys, truck wasn't running right while I was driving through Huston and I called these guys and they saw me the same day. They tried to fix the problem but it was something he couldn't do so he recommend a good shop and didn't charge me anything. Good people.

It was time for my car to have a transmission fluid flush and I found out about these guys after coming across their business online. The reviews were amazing so I felt it was worth the drive to travel to them to have my car serviced. The customer service was excellent and the service to my car was fast and excellent. National Transmissions, services our fleet of vehicles and always does really great work. Unlike dropping your car off at a dealer, where you have to make an appointment, wait in line to talk to a "service advisor" and then figure out how and when you're going to get your car back, National takes your car right away, asks a couple of quick questions and gets the work done.

We recently had a vehicle that was stranded in Anauhac, Texas coming back from a job in Beaumont. We called National Transmission and Donnie or Don organized a wrecker to pick up the vehicle and dropped our employee off as well. The issue turned out to be a solenoid. They completed the replacement and also replaced the transmission fluid and by Monday we were back on the road repairing computers.
