I have an older car, a 2004 Grand Prix, that has low miles and I get it fixed when it has issues. The brake line dropped when I was driving on the highway, but luckily I was able to get to safety. I had it towed to the shop and told them what I knew. They diagnosed my car with a broken brake line and said I needed new routers and brake pads in the front.

The estimated and final cost for the work was $950 dollars, with a breakdown for $465 for labor, rotors, and new front brake pads and the rest for the brake line. They said that my other brake lines were rusted and could go at anytime, but claimed I didn't need them changed at this time. The cost for the brake pads and rotor replacement was $200 more then what I had done 2 years ago for my rear pads and rotors. Also, they charged $400 for labor on the single brake line replacement alone with no breakdown on how long it took.

From how long they labored on the vehicle in a single afternoon, a skilled mechanic should have taken only 1 to 2 hours for the brake line replacement. Hopefully, the other brake lines hold but I will head somewhere else to get them serviced. Not sure how much they are paying mechanics but $200 per hour warrants a career change for me. Go somewhere else if you want better value.

This review is for OHV Motors that has merged with World Auto Repair in 2020: SHORT VERSION: extremely honest and highly skilled. LONG VERSION: I came across OHV Motors a couple of years ago when I decided to stop servicing my cars at dealerships and to find a local shop instead. I was skeptical at first, but great customer reviews made me curious, so I decided to give OHV Motors a try with small repairs here and there.

So far, so good. Then I went to a dealer again to perform repairs for a manufacturer recall on my son's Subaru Impreza, and they told me that the head gasket was leaking badly and required $2,600 worth of repairs. I took the car to OHV Motors to get a competing quote, and to my surprise, I was told that the repairs were not needed - there was no gasket leak.

They are THE FIRST auto shop in my life to not take advantage of a situation like this. Extremely honest! After that, they've performed a lot of complex repairs on my cars, including rebuilding an engine and diagnosing a car not starting at extreme cold when it was -27 degrees outside. They've always delivered best service, never overcharging me or taking advantage of me in any way. They've got a customer for life.

Update: The owner of World Auto in Eden Prairie contacted me shortly after I had submitted my feedback to their site. He apologized for the whole situation and refunded me my $130. Very much appreciated conclusion to an otherwise unpleasant experience. 2007 Toyota Prius. I had a check engine light that popped and so I called World Auto in Eden Prairie to see if they could take a look.

They notified me that it would be $130 for the diagnostic, which I was fine with, as I assumed I would have to pay that wherever I went before they would work on my car. They called me back the next day and told me that the codes indicated a problem with the hybrid engine/battery and that they don't work on those. Also, THEY WERE STILL GOING TO CHARGE ME FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC.

I would be ok with this if they had notified me in advance that they were going to run a diagnostic, but that they don't work on hybrid engines. I would have promptly asked them for someone who does, and brought my business elsewhere. Instead I was assured that now I had the codes! I could take those anywhere and whoever else I took my car to wouldn't have to run their own diagnostic!

Now he knows as well as I do, that doesn't happen in the auto repair business. Terrible service, a lot of condescending language, like calling me "Bud" every other sentence, and met with dishonesty when I voiced my complaint. I would absolutely steer clear of this shop if you have a hybrid vehicle. I would also recommend they take the 'Toyota' flag out of the ground in front of their shop. PS-I also had to pay the diagnostic fee at the place up the road that works on hybrids.

We have been lucky to have worked with both Jerry (OHV) and Wynne at World Auto. We have a high mileage Acura and Volvo. We get trusted feedback and all options are explained up front. We love that they keep track of our maintenance history and appreciated that we have never been oversold on work that "doesn't" need to be done.

I highly recommend World Auto Repair! The team here is smart, helpful, and provides good, honest service. Their communication is excellent too. This is truly that place you find via word of mouth from a good friend (that's how I found it) and then never look back. "Psst! I know this place." They've taken care of me for years and I can't say enough good things.

Great Auto repair shop, honest, friendly, knowledgeable and great customer service. We have been taking our cars to World Auto since about 2000 and have always been very happy. I would highly recommended them to anyone in need of car repairs/maintenance.

I bought a new used car 6 months ago thinking I would not have to worry about any car issues for a while. I was wrong I had an issue where my car's battery would drain when the key wasn't in it. I took it to dealership where I bought it and after they looked at it for less than 25 mins told me " it's the battery" well I had it changed here at World Auto less than a month prior so I knew it wasn't that.

I tried explaining to the dealership how the electrics in the car turned on when the key wasn't in it. They talked down to me and wouldn't listen. I took it back too World Auto and it was a totally different experience I was listened to and really felt like they cared and wanted to help me get to the bottom of the issue. The service was so amazing and the staff was friendly and explained to me what was going on and not once did they speak down to me. I would highly recommend them! I can't say enough good things about this place.

I had checked around my area regarding places to take my car to fix some starting issues. I even went to two other shops, and they said the battery was fine. So, I was looking outside my location, and I came across Auto World Repair and I thought "let me give them a call." Luckily, they weren't just willing and happy to help me, they were 5 minutes from where I live.

And the convenience of dropping my car off at night after work, , so it can be done by time for work the next afternoon was very much appealing. And the job they did was so outstanding, the car is running perfectly. I think I have found a permanent home for my car servicing. Thanks Wayne, and all the mechanics at Auto World Repair!

I brought my van in to get a scheduled oil change at World Auto Repair in June 2019. I was with my two kids when I dropped it off and when I picked it up after service. When I went to pay for the oil change I was told there's an extra fee now to run credit card because for years they weren't charging this fee and it was about to cause them to raise their prices.

The day after, I blew my back left tire on the highway. I got it replaced and turned out to have a nail in it. The next day, my other back tire blew out, It had a similar nail. My back tires were nearly bald so that could have been the culprit. I called World Auto Repair to ask why they didn't inform me that my tires were nearly bald the man said that he was going to but I left too fast.

I'm not saying World Auto Repair is responsible for the nails in my two back tires. But, never in my life have I ever had a tire blow out on me or find a nail in my tire. Let alone TWO tires with nails in them the day after I have a service. They have a great waiting room and candy next to the register. A previous service there was acceptable and they let me wait in their air conditioned waiting room.

Great experience! They got me in right away and even gave me a ride home when my car needed to stay longer than I could wait. A+

We brought our cars to them for many years based on a recommendation of a friend. I have found them always very willing to help and patient with their time when explaining anything or giving us advice. If we have had an issue with the repair (maybe once in 12 years), they were always quick to have it brought in and they solutions the problem based on additional feedback. I have found their prices to be reasonable / fair and I have trust in their work. They don't try to up-sell me on anything, in fact, often tell me how I can save money.

Take your money and your vehicle somewhere else. My husband brought our truck in there to have them fix the leak we had in our gas tank on Monday and we just got our truck back today. It was supposed to be done on Monday evening when he got off work and it wasn't done, so we had no choice but to get a rental car ($300 total for that expense that World Auto didn't cover).

They assured us it would be done by the next day (Tuesday). Sure enough, my husband calls them and they said they still are not done with it so we had to rent the car for ANOTHER DAY. Finally, my husband picked the truck up tonight and they told him they knocked $90 off of the over $1100.00 total. Lucky us, right? We will never go there again. Unreliable place to take your vehicle and they have poor customer service.

I brought my car, a Lexus RX330, in for repair at the end of the day on a Monday. I was promised my car would be repaired by the end of the following day. I had a lift tick noise in the engine. I paid $1200 to have the timing belt and water pump replaced. The shop had my car for three days. When I picked up my car, I had the same ticking noise as when I dropped off my car.

The owner said the noise was due to dirty oil, and tried to tell me my car was more than 2,000 miles overdue for an oil change. In fact, the car was not overdue for an oil change by Lexus' oil change schedule, and was only overdue for an oil change by 400 miles according to Valvoline's schedule. I immediately got an oil change. The same noise persisted in intensity and frequency and volume after the oil change.

The owner offered to look at my car again, if I brought it back to their business for a fourth day. I refused to return. The business failed to diagnose and correct a problem within three days although I made a clear request to have the problem diagnosed and corrected. The business blatantly misrepresentated information about how many miles my car was overdue for an oil change, and what was causing and what would correct the lift tick noise. I found the business to be dishonest and untrustworthy, and they performed substandard work.

Originally I'm from MN but live in AZ now. I'm back here for work and noticed my car was running hot. Had been smelling antifreeze smell for awhile (months) but the repair shop back where I live couldn't figure it out. Was driving past World Auto Repair and pulled in to see if they could add some antifreeze as it was near closing time and that was all the time there was to do anything. Wynne put in a gallon and a half no charge and said I could get in at 9 AM the next morning.

Back the next morning and it wasn't long and they found the problem and fixed it. A stripped clamp on a hose. It was the cheapest auto repair visit I've had and now I'm back on the road without worries. The overheating was also causing my transmission to act up and I thought I was really in trouble but Wynne said that can happen due to the computer in the car reacting to the overheating and causing other issues such as that.

This shop is clean, efficient and they have seasoned mechanics that know what they are doing and honest. I couldn't ask for a better experience. They also have fast wifi, nice waiting room and even exercise equipment in another room if you want to stay on the move. I got really lucky stumbling across these guys.

We have relied on World Auto for 20+ years. It is SO great to find people you can trust and rely upon in this business. The owners of World Auto work in the business and they treat you like an individual and friend. They are honest and stand behind their work. Anytime we have bought a used vehicle we brought it to World Auto to check it out first. Well worth the time and money! They provide fair and honest feedback. We HIGHLY recommend this business.

Going to the auto mechanic is kind of like going to the dentist. After the examination you get that queasy feeling and expect bad news that they found something that will cost a lot of money. Wynne was a better person to deal and talk to. Oil change prices were comparable to those rapid-speedy franchises, but it felt good to have certified mechanics looking over my car, instead of lube technicians that can only change the oil and check the tire pressure. Tell them you saw them on Yelp.
