Very easy to communicate with them via text or phone, and their office is clean and comfortable when waiting for our car to be serviced. I have enjoyed doing business with Randy's the last few years. It's probably not the cheapest shop in the area but due to the level of trust I have in them, I am hardly ever phased by the price and have never considered going anywhere else. At the end of the day, I just want the work to be done well and in a timely manner and they deliver and exceed my expectations every single time.

Update I am changing my review to 5 stars. I went back and they did excellent work on my car. They explained things to me and thoroughly explained their work, and what happened with the mistake described below. At first I thought they were really good, then I brought my car there for a failing wheel baring. They called me midday to confirm my wheel baring needed to be replaced and during that call they did the hard upsell of all that I needed fixed.

I'm used to that from car repairman and, though annoying, nonetheless expected. What really turned me off to them for any future business was that during that call one of the things they said I needed was a serpentine belt, which they replaced themselves just 8 months before. I questioned the guy about that and he said that it looked "worn." I asked how could it be worn when they themselves just replaced it 8 months ago, I'm still not driving that much, and the previous one lasted 100,000 miles.

He looked it up and saw they replaced it just a few months ago. Either they didn't replace it a few months ago and charged me for it or they didn't really look at it and tried to sell me a new one anyway. Needless to say they lost all credibility with me and I'll not be going back.

I brought my car here for a state inspection and was in and out within 30 minutes, and on the last day of the month no less! Everyone was very friendly and professional, they even had a comfortable waiting area with refreshments. We will definitely be going here from now on!

I needed work done on the power steering on my 2012 Chevy Impala. Another shop had tried several times with no improvement. At Randy's they ordered the parts on Thursday afternoon and completed the work on Friday and I had my car in time for the weekend! Their professionalism and technical ability was much appreciated. I used AAA to drop my car off rather abruptly at their shop (sorry. Head injury. Wasn't thinking straight) and they not only took it in grace and stride, but replaced the tires within 24 hours and remained in contact with me the whole time. Swift, courteous service. I cannot say enough positive things about how Randy's helped me with my car. I blew out a tire from a terrible pot hole on Rt. 109. I had my car towed to Randy's and I'm so glad I did. They went above and beyond to problem solve the missing wheel lock for my BMW tires. They made many many phone calls to get a new wheel lock delivered to their station so that they could do the work necessary and quickly as I needed my car back within 24 hrs.

They did an amazing job. And my car is driving even better than it was before the service. I highly recommend Randy's. They are so customer-focused and go above and beyond, which is rare in their industry. Thank you Randy's!

I was driving on the highway when I had sudden transmission issues, was unable to drive my truck, 2017 GMC Sierra, 71,000 miles. I spoke with Tim and he was able to promptly set up service. My vehicle was serviced by a transmission speacialist and was repaired and ready in 4 days. I needed a loaner and Tim juggled the loaner schedule and although I didn't have a vehicle the first day, I was given a loaner on day 2.

This was appreciated and needed as I had a busy work schedule traveling to various locations. I was updated frequently through text messages as this was the most convenient way for me. Had my car towed here through AAA, I had a flat tire and had never used them before. Their communication is terrible, I had to call them numerous times to find out the status of my vehicle. They tried to take advantage of the pickle I was in with my flat tire by overcharging me to fix a flat tire. Insisted they could only replace all 4 tires not just the one that was damaged. Lied about policies, and tried to squeeze me out of $1400 during covid times when everyone is struggling. Had my car towed out of there ASAP to a garage I trust and was only charged $800.

There's a special place in hell for mechanics who try to overcharge women in tough situations. Funny how their tones changed quickly when I had my boyfriend call instead of myself. Shame on you Randy's Auto-service, do better!

These folks are amazing. I moved out of Medfield in 2017, but I know that if I'm ever completely stumped with a car issue, they'll get to the bottom of it ASAP and make sure I feel completely comfortable driving it out of their lot. My partner stumped their go-to garage over MLK Day weekend, and Randy's swooped in and figured it out. I work in the service industry, and they do their job like I aspire to do mine. Just really talented and down-to-earth people.

Also got my car inspected. They took me home and then delivered the car to me. Always excellent service. And I had a $10 coupon for my birthday! Services: Oil change, Tyres

Updating this review as they seem to be asking people to review them positively. They are dishonest, overpriced, and they seem to have found their niche in overcharging the wealthy residents of Medfield who don't care if they are charged twice as much for auto service. Original review below. Friendly service, thorough vehicle inspection. That's the only positive.

They just charged me nearly 2X what the dealership would charge. When mentioning how outrageous the price was, i was offered coupons that reduced the price by 5%. I'm in shock honestly. I will never make this mistake again. You're much better off going anywhere else, including the dealership. I'll be updating this post with the dealer quote and their receipt once i have it in hand. Just want to help out anyone considering going here to get something done.

The people there are professional, courteous & friendly. I do however miss the young man that used to work there. This is the 1st time I felt pressured about having some work done. I called back a couple of weeks later & spoke to someone who explained to me in terms I understood that what the man originally tried to sell me was a filter for the for clean air inside the car.

I will eventually get it but it's not a priority for I am on a fixed income. It will improve the air quality inside my vehicle but not effect any issues with driving my car. I WILL CONTINUE using RANDY'S AUTOMOTIVE because the service is SO GOOD.

Places like Randy's Automotive aren't supposed to exist any more; we're supposed to get everything done at dealerships or chain outfits. And, if they do exist, it certainly shouldn't be anywhere near an urban area. Yet, Randy's does exist and offer superb, personalized service at a fair price, and does so in Medfield, Massachusetts. Over the years they've fixed flats, sold me four new tires, found the source of strange engine noises, and told me, very gently, my car was at the end of its useful life. Please patronize this business. It is a treasure.

Brought in my truck and was very happy with the level of communication from start to finish. They had someone in very early day of drop off so was able to accommodate that with work schedule and communicated every step of the way, what the issues were, recommended fixes and costs confirming before doing any work. Great experience and will use moving forward for work on any of my vehicles

I've reviewed Randy's before. I've lived in Medfield for 35 years, and I've used Randy as my primary local auto repairs shop for my cars. That alone should tell you much I value their service. They are high quality, competent, great value, and a tremendous positive presence in the community.

I can't say enough about the service and staff at Randy's. My car had multiple issues, and is only two years old. I had a very little time the day I brought the car to be fixed, and not only did they do an amazing job. They did it all in between dropping off and picking up my son from school. Everything was exactly as they told me it would be, I will be returning to Randy's for all my future repair needs, I highly recommended!

I had my oil change done here. I also wanted to get coolant, power steering and automatic transmission fluid changed upon their recommendation. I paid $445 for labor and $70 for hazardous material handling. My total cost was above $900. The place is clean and the service is good but I checked and found it was nearly 3 times the highest price I would have paid at my dealership. I am a local and wanted to give this place a try. I will not be going back.
