Auto Mech & Muffler

I was looking for a place that could install my catalytic converter on my 2008 Prius, so when I called Auto tech & Muffler, I was pleasantly surprised that they could schedule me first thing the next morning. I arrived at the shop the next day at 8:30 am and they immediately started the installation. They took care of me like I've been their customer for years! Gary, who was really warm, friendly, and knowledgeable explained what he was going to do for the installation.

After an hour, my car was done and was ready to head to work. Gary was amazing and he was able to do the work even when he was the only one there at that time. I look forward to bringing my car from now on at Auto Tech & Muffler. Thank you, Gary, and the rest of Auto tech & Muffler! A+++

Auto Mech is a very good shop. Competant work, clear, precise communication and they offer their services at a fair price. The finished work includes clean up and they offer the used parts to the customer. The job is finished in a timely manner. The staff are polite and treat their customers with respect. There are very few mechanical shops that are trustworthy. Auto Mech & Muffler is one of the very few.

In Feb 22 2022 I took my SUV to Auto Mech in Oviedo because it was shifting bad and clunking. They did a computer analysis and I was told there was an oil leak and the drive shaft joint was failing. I was allowed to supply the drive shaft which they installed. I paid my bill in full and drove it to test it. I felt little difference in the shifting and took it back.

This time they said the variable valve timing solenoid needed replacing and that the transmission pressure was high and needed attention, something they don't do. I asked if they replace the variable valve timing solenoid, will it fix the erratic shifting. He said yes. For clarity I also asked what were the symptoms that indicated transmission problems and he said only the computer read out indicated a problem.

I paid my bill in full and got the vehicle back and the shifting was still erratic. I took it back and he said its a transmission problem. Very unhappy with this. Maybe the work is good but he definitely said his work would fix the problem and it did not. $750 and almost nothing to show for it. I won't be back.

Went here for an issue that firestone didn't completely resolve. They took me in on short notice, recognizing I might need a quick and easy fix, squeezing me in on a very busy day and solved the issue for under $20! From the desk to the mechanic who will speak to you personally and answer all of your questions, best mechanic experience I've had in Florida!

Friendly and professional. I brought my car in under the assumption that I needed a new muffler (which I was told before), but I actually needed it braced. They didn't not try to take advantage of me but showed and suggested alternatives. They replaced one piece on the muffler and now she runs quietly. This company was a referral and it was a GREAT DECISION. Thank you Jason, "my new mechanic"

Highly recommend Auto Mech & Muffler! I needed some exhaust work done on my car, called and spoke with Gary who was very helpful and knowledgeable. They had me back on the road with a new catalytic converter in just few hours! Gary was also able to help me pin point another issue with my car without charging me extra which was awesome. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the service I received here and will be returning for future business!

Excellent service and very reasonable price, very nice guys, too. Eli is absolutely a craftsman of the trade. He knows exhaust and hooked up my 2011 Audi S6 V10, obtaining the perfect tone I wanted. Fully custom, welded, stainless, including H-pipe. I would recommend them for any other services you need as well, they truly know their stuff! Start to finish in the time he said it would take as well.
