You may not know it, but in many of today's cars the heating and air conditioning systems are integrated so that some parts of your climate control system are working hard all year long. Your driving comfort improves greatly when your heating and air conditioning are working properly. Your air conditioning system works like a refrigerator, pumping Freon through an evaporator under the dashboard. The Freon absorbs the heat from the passenger compartment, circulates it through the condenser and releases it through the front grill of your car.
Here at Larsen's Auto Repair your safety is our first priority! You can rest assured that all brake system service and repairs are performed by highly trained professionals that use only premium quality parts. One of the most important safety related services you can perform on your vehicle is the regular maintenance and replacement of brake system components.

Edit: They wanted me to edit this.they refunded my husband for their fraudulent business practices. My husband used this auto repair service to see what was wrong with his car. First off, my husband is a mechanic. He's worked on vehicles, track vehicles while in the military, and is a helicopter mechanic. So he knows his stuff. The ONLY reason why he decided to take it to a mechanic was because he didn't want to do the work himself.
And he knew it was the fuel pump. And guess?! It was determined by the mechanics at Larsen it was the fuel pump. But then they came back and also said it was the spark plugs and that those parts needed to be changed out. My husband picked up the truck and decided to change the spark plugs himself (trusting their word). Well.he began to work on the car and discovered wires had been pulled!
And it took him over a couple of hours to fix what the Larsen mechanics jacked up! It didn't need spark plugs. His car worked fine after he repaired the wires. I wouldn't doubt this auto shop is doing this exact thing to other people and probably the other reviewers who "think" they recieved great service. They were probably duped and didn't even know it. Beware of where you take you car. Beware that there are untrustworthy auto shops that will destroy your car and lie to you to get more money out of you. Like Larsen Automotive Repair! Don't trust Larsen Automotive Repair! Don't do business with Larsen Automotive Repair! They scam their customers!

My car started making a strange noise while I was on a road trip to visit family and I went to Larsen's because it was the closest shop and I am SO GLAD that I did. I have never been treated better or more respectfully than I was here. Megan and Mark made sure that I could make it home safely and were more than fair with the price. I can't recommend them more and I wish that I lived closer so I could come here regularly for maintenance. My car is running smoothly and I would recommend them to anyone. It's rare to be treated well at an auto shop as a young woman, but they were incredible. 10 out of 10 stars.

I spent $1,800 on repairs at Burce Titus Jeep of Olympia, and they didn't fix the problem. I've had work done at Larsen's so I took my Jeep to Larsen's. They answered the phone right away and we're very polite. I was able to get my vehicle in in one business day. They repaired the left rear wheel sensor and hub assembly, which is a very common problem with the 2005 and later Grand Cherokees. Thank you Larson's oh, you have my business from now on.

These guys are the best! My family has been using their service for years. My Chevy Cruze had blown a water pump and needed serious repair. The dealership I bought of from was less than Awesome in the price they quoted. They wanted 2400 to just fix the water pump and coolant leak. They also said serpentine belt was going and found a few oil leaks. Grand total to fix everything was 3700$. Called Larsen and when all was said and done all the same work was only 1600$.

My car was having an annoying issue after I would fuel up, it wouldn't want to start. Larsen's took care of it in a few hours and now there is no problem! They even changed out my windshield wipers for me and changed a timing belt that was loud and obnoxious. They are priced fairly and provide EXCEPTIONAL costumer service as well. I will probably always use Larsen's from now on.

I was hoping to get a full diagnostic for an A/C system that seems to only work intermittently. They found a leak and fixed that, but it wasn't the whole issue. After taking the vehicle to them twice, I'm still not really any better off. It's like they looked for the usual causes and didn't want to go any further than that. They couldn't recreate the issue, but I am not confident they tried more than once.
At least they didn't overcharge and they didn't make anything worse, I guess. I was willing to pay what was necessary to get this fixed - including extra time needed to diagnose. I am going to have to go to another shop to try again.

I've done some shopping around at other automotive places nearby, and Larsen by far has been the most reliable and trustworthy shop. I've always been able to get my car in quickly, and even though I have an old vehicle that could use a lot of work, they are good at breaking things down into what needs to be done and what I can live with if I'm OK living with it. They even took the time to troubleshoot with me on the phone when I was having troubles on the road. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Mechanics took care of my car and were great. Receptionist however was rude, seemed annoyed when I came in to ask about how long it would be (my phone died so they couldn't call me). I had already waited four and a half hours for a thermostat change (I get it, they're working on other cars too) but she was mad I interrupted her personal conversation and was snappy and short with me.
I asked her if there was somewhere not outside in the sun I could wait but she told me to go outside. Won't be going back, shame because mechanics were cool and my car seems fixed.

Like everyone else has already said, this place is great. Exceptionally friendly and honest. I stopped in to have them look over a used vehicle I purchased. The owner Matthew had me come in next day first thing in the morning and he drove my van, put it up on a lift and checked it all over no charge. Didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need because he gave it a clean bill of health and made me feel good about my purchase. When I need something done I will be back for sure.

Went here a while ago, but haven't gotten a chance to leave a review. The front counter staff is extremely friendly and honest. I had taken my car in for issues I was having with the brakes. I had expected to leave it there overnight since they said they were pretty busy and I arrived during the afternoon, but they managed to get it back out the same day and at a fair price. Definitely my go-to shop.

I moved to Olympia a year ago and have been to two local highly rated auto repair shops in the process. One time was for new brakes and most recently for a 'big' tune up. When I picked up my car from the 'tune up' he told me my reverse lights were out and I would need another appt. to diagnose the problem. I questioned if it couldn't just be the bulbs.highly unlikely was the response and an appt. would be needed and I would have to leave the car there.
I was afraid to back up for fear of hitting anyone and decided to call another shop. I called Larsen's @ 11:00AM and had an appt. that day @ 2:00PM. The car was taken in @ 2:05PM and ready by 2:15PM.the bulbs were burned out exactly what I had thought. They didn't want to charge me because 'the bulbs are so inexpensive'.I made a donation to the coffee fund which I'm sure is for the complimentary flavored coffee in the 'spotless' waiting room.
It doesn't get better than this and even if there had been a larger issue with the lights this shop got me in there within hours and treated me like I was a regular customer. Will be back and only wish I had found them a year ago! THE BEST SHOP AROUND!

I cannot say enough about this shop. My truck was seen by 5 previous repair shops for a short that kept draining the battery, including the dealership mechanics and a speciality shop which targets only such issues. All charged for a great deal of exploration time but found nothing. LARSEN'S fixed the problem! Same truck, next issue, a sound that three other shops couldnt find or fix. LARSEN'S finds and fixes it. Love this shop!

I feel incredibly lucky to have found this place. I started having car issues immediately after moving to Olympia. The first place I took my vehicle to quoted me almost $3000 in repairs for an oil leak. I took my car to Larsen's for a second opinion. They inspected it then came up with a unique fix for my vehicle; I think in total I paid like $250 or less for the inspection and repair. I'm in awe of their ability to come up with a creative, honest, and affordable fix for me.
They went above and beyond in every way: texting me to check on the car, and doing a completely free 2 week check up. WOW. I won't be taking my car anyone else in Olympia. Thank you for your integrity and hard work, Larsens!

Great people. Been here twice. Both times I went with open ended ask for help "I think somethings not working right" first time they said, nope it's just fine. Next time it was something minor and they followed up to make sure what they fixed took care of what bothered me (which it did). Glad i found a mechanic I trust.

I found Larsen's Auto on Yelp. The team at Larsen's is great! They diagnosed and fixed my pickup over the course of two days. I was not in a hurry but was very pleased with their prompt and professional service.even if they do spell their name the wrong way! Thanks again, I will definitely be giving Larsen's Auto more business in the future. - Joshua Larson

We have taken our cars in there twice now, the last time my husband took his truck in, and thought that he needed a tuneup. They put it on the scope, and called and told him that he just needed an oil change. They won't charge you for things that don't need to be done, and that's very refreshing. We have recommended this place to all of our friends and family. They're a very upstanding Business. We will take our cars there from now on. They're also very reasonable on their pricing. Which we appreciate being senior citizens.

I was looking for a local shop to bring my old (1990) Isuzu into, as it is on its last legs but has sentimental value to me. The e break was broken and I knew the part to fix, i just didn't have the time. I got a quote and when i went to pick the car up, it actually ended up being less than the quote. Super friendly people, and they even squeezed me in and gave me quality work when they were busy.

Totally feel comfortable with this upfront, honest & capable auto mechanic 's shop! Daughter moved up here from SD CA in January to complete an externship. Her car was serviced by our local mechanic Beiderbecke leaving, who has worked on our cars for 10+ years & gave her car the everything checks out go ahead. In March, a service light went on & since I was up visiting we decided to use the dealership & get an oil change.after some shady over the top report of needed repairs ($700) I told them to just change the oil.
I looked up our CA prices for said repairs & it was 1/2 @ our local dealership. Checked YELP & came up with Larsen's; not only did they go through the car's engine meticulously, they spoke on the phone w/my husband re changing the transmission fluid & they delivered & picked up my daughter from her externship so she wouldn't have to find a ride. This place is HONEST, very Affordable & they care about their customers & their cars!

As a home mechanic, I know enough about cars that I HATE paying others to do things I can do myself. However, my daughters car broke down and getting the car back to our house was not an option due to my time. So I reluctantly looked up local mechanics and found Larsen's, which had great reviews. I explained the problem and my guess based upon what my daughter described (without going into too much detail since I want to see if the mechanic is trying to run up the price/problems). Matt was honest and didn't talk down or too technical when we talked.
He is trustworthy so we discussed things in more detail and he gave me a ballpark estimate (which I asked for) so I could assess if it was worth towing the car back to my house. His estimate was fair so I had them tow the car for him to do a formal estimate. He fixed the problem quickly, fixed one thing I knew I messed up earlier, and discussed things to watch out for in the future (which I knew).
Any dishonest mechanic would have tried to sell other services but he knew this car wasn't worth much we were both on the same page when it came to price vs. value of the car. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing car repairs as he is fair in his prices. Mechanics need to make a living but I feel that most folks are willing to pay for a trustworthy and competent mechanic who won't oversell services.
I found his prices to be fair and he was very helpful and I trust him. Again, this is coming from someone that HATES paying for mechanical work since I can do it myself and am skeptical of everyone until they gain my trust. He passed my test!

Matt and Taylor are great people to work with. My dad had been taking his cars and trucks to Larsens for year and now my wife and I are taking are cars and trucks there for all our repair needs. Great communication before during and after every appointment. Good prices and honest about what does and doesn't need repaired. We will be taking all our vehicles there. Thank you

I have mentioned before that I have had good experiences with this place, and I continue to do so. I happily recommend them! They have consistently been very pleasant to deal with, they get things done when they say they will and at or below the price they quoted initially. They do solid work, and I hope they continue to thrive for a good long time!

I got tired of driving to Tacoma to get my Benz worked on. Since it's out of warranty, I wanted to have somebody local. I know somebody who collects cars (and has a couple of BMWs), and he highly recommended Larsen's. I had some front end noise and took it in to get an estimate, and got a courtesy ride back to work. Five hours later it's fixed. For a very reasonable price. I know my usual place in Tacoma would have soaked me.

I'm from out of town here house sitting for a few days. This morning my truck wouldn't start and a friend referred me to these guys. I called them around 930 or 10 am, got my rig towed into the shop within an hour and had a diagnosis by noon. Simply amazing. They were fast, friendly and the job cost me much less than I'd expected. While they didn't fix the problem (my choice) they did get me back on the road, explained the problem, gave me info on where to find the part and told me how long I could go before not fixing it would cause other problems. I would absolutely bring my vehicle back if I were local!
