JUST GO HERE! You won't be dissatisfied. The clutch release bearing went out on my 2011 Ford Ranger causing the clutch to fail. I called around to several shops and they all said it would be almost a month before it could be serviced. A friend of mine had his transmission rebuilt by Crom and was always saying how great his experience was with them.

So I figured I would give them a call. My service writer was Dave and he did a fantastic job. They arranged a tow on Saturday and by Monday morning I had already gotten a call back. By Tuesday morning all the work was complete. Dave was very helpful when it came to what service had to be done and what service was recommended while the transmission was being already accessed. Pricing was upfront and exact, with no hidden fees when I arrived to pick it up. I've never used them before but from now on this will be my default shop for anything I can't handle. Prompt, Professional, and Precise.

Crom replaced a transmission in my son's 98 Ram 1500. They got it done in four days without any issues and at a more than fair price. Very efficient and professional.

Before we start, I hardly give out 5 stars. Today's easy 5 star our my 4 star rating. 've been going to Croms for all my transmission service need's. From a routine flush & filter change. Yes, the transmission need's it. To deciding to rebuild, or purchase a new transmission for a '92 Jeep YJ back in '11(?) I think? We went with a refurbished one & she is still running smoothly. When I think I have a transmission issue. My first stop is "Croms transmission". I encourage you to do the same.

My husband called and spoke with them multiple times before having our truck towed there explaining the situation. They said to bring it over and they would take a look so we did. A few days went by (wasn't a problem waiting) and they call to tell me they are declining work on our truck and didn't even look at the transmission. On top of that they called me which felt like a cop out to jot call my husband the person they were in repeat contact with to say this to.

So then we had to tow pay for yet another tow to get it back home. It's absolutely within their right to decline working on it but when my husband spoke to them numerous times then to not even look at it and decline is very frustrating. The reasoning was that it's too high volume of a place which again I understand but should have all been said before we even brought the truck there.

My transmission in my Nissan Sentra went out today out of no where. We were suggested to go to Crom by Firestone because Firestone doesn't do transmission work. Got my car towed there and a mechanic mentioned that my car (due to year and mileage) might be under Nissan warranty. He was correct and saved me a bit of money. They didn't personally work on my car but I felt like they deserved recognition for trying to help someone out. Very friendly staff and kind people. Will always recommend them to anyone who needs help.

A business with integrity. They weren't able to fix the particular problem with my vehicle, but they were honest and made recommendations on where to go next and didn't charge me anything. Will definitely be giving them my business in the future and will be recommending them to friends and family.

The first straightforward, honest, and reliable mechanic shop I've come across in the Hubert, Jacksonville, and Richlands area. They take the time to explain in great detail what it going on with your vehicle and what needs to be done to fix it. Their price and time estimates are accurate and reasonable. If I believe the stealership is trying to rip me off, I get Croms second opinion. Bottom line there is no one else I'd trust to conduct repairs on my vehicles, other than myself.

I needed some unexpected repairs before a long trip and after their double-check, I feel safe and ready to go! A main dealership in town was going to charge me over $100 just for a diagnostic and couldn't get me in for over 2 weeks, but Crom came to the rescue! They didn't tack on any unnecessary charges and even though they were short staffed at the time, the mechanic gave me an appointment and returned my fixed vehicle within a couple days.

I am pleased with their professional and friendly service, clear communication through the whole process, and fair pricing. Plus there is a fun fish tank in the waiting room! It was worth the trip out there.

We had a 2008 Nissan Rogue that had the transmission seize. Crom looked at it for free, and gave us a pretty fair quote- $3100 and some change. Unfortunately, the cost of that repair was just out of budget for us and wasn't worth it with as old as the car is. We shopped around for a buyer and had an offer for about $900; we called Crom to ask if it was alright for the buyer to pick the car up from their shop or if they'd rather us have it towed back to our home.

Owner of the shop took a look at the rest of our car and offered to write a check and buy it for personal use, at a little bit higher than the original offer we had. Signed over the title, left with a check. A family run business, sweet people and the process was so easy. I'd recommend them to anyone around the Jacksonville/Camp Lejeune area.

My 2005 Mariner transmission just finally failed. Took it to Crom's and they told me exactly what was wrong, why it went wrong, what needs to be done to correct the issue and a price with a warranty. I had other issues I knew about but couldn't find, they did. This is a I believe 3 generation owned business and it shows. Phenomenal mechanics. My car literally was skating gears at 235k miles to them and it was like a brand new car when I left. Honestly, they are worth every penny. EXTREMELY fast: Rebuilt in a week, superb service. No complaints and highly recommend.

I have had my car serviced here twice. I needed my transmission replaced and they went over all my options from the most expensive to the least expensive. I was happy that they answered all questions. The new transmission has been working great for months and I don't feel like I overpaid. I had to go back for another problem unrelated to the transmission and was happy with that experience as well. This is a family owned business and the staff is always very helpful.

Came here for an opinion on a noise so Bob jumped in and we took it for a drive. He hooked it up to the computer and didn't get any codes and didn't think anything was wrong with it, so his advice was, "I wouldn't spend any money on it until it codes on the computer". I'm female. He could have told me something was wrong and I would have believed him.

His honesty made me feel so comfortable, I came back to get the transmission fluids/filters changed since my mileage was due for it anyways. Bob is great, the staff is great and their waiting room is perfect if you have to bring in a little one since they have a table-top train track and toys for them to play with. Would definitely come back!
