NOT TRUST WORTHY! If I could give them zero stars I would. Went for a tire inspection because my car was shaking. He inspected and felt them all around and said they were fine, just needed to add air. Drove home afterwards on the highway and my tire blew out!

These guys were fast friendly and very helpful for us. We appreciate the hard work on a hot day to help us get back home. Thank you so much

Mark is great I just know from now on to only pay when he is in there after quoting a price. Plus to look at receipt before leaving. Was charged 25 more than quoted but don't think Mark knew cause I didn't check till got home. So is my own fault.

Fiance bought a car on a Wednesday, and we recieved a winter storm that day, her rear tires got stuck in snow on the side of the road, the only tow that she could get a hold of unfortunately was Platts, and if you read the rest of the reviews it seems many have had this misfortune. They have her wait in the car as they free it which is illegal btw.

In the process though they damage the vehicle, as well charge her just under 300 to free it ( I know literal high way Robery) So they tell us to come in so they can look at it after we inform them, and we do so they asked what happened we inform them they damaged the car while moving it. They completely ignore us, and start jacking the car up, and immediately attempt to fix the dent with improper methods (also in most courts an admission of fault) they again ask what happen, and I repeat that they damaged the vehicle, and start to imply that we did it, and go back to ignoring me, and hammering with swage blocks putting waves, and additional creases into the wheel hub.

Guy finishes his rush job, and says done. I laugh and tell him there's still damage, to which he replies too bad we didn't do it ( so why did you try to fix it in the first place?) From there he gets real rude, and storms off, so I go back inside to the front desk, and speak with the gentleman inside who was admittedly very polite compared to the shop staff, even still he gives me the run around stating that they would contact us to which they have not, and good luck emailing them it comes back with an error every time. Do not I repeat do not use this towing garage.

Such a pleasure to work with, great service, easy in and out. I love these guys. Took care of my fleet managed work vehicle with no problems at all.

I got a flat tire arriving at the dells. Googled closest place so took it here without reading reviews. Was supposed to get a plug when the employee came back he mentioned that I needed a new tire and gave me a price of $50 for it then when I went to go pay another guy said it's $80 for the taxes I'm from Chicago and I never knew that Wisconsin had higher taxes than us. As soon as Wisconsin people see an Illinois plate they look as us as $$. But it's ok cause we do have it. Lol. Just be careful Chicago people specially.

AAA Platts Garage in Wisconsin Dells is the best. If you traveling on I 94 near the WI Dells and have any car, truck or trailer issues, AAA Platts will save the day. We had a bearing issue on boat trailer and no one would help except Platts who came out with a flat bed and brought our boat and trailer back to the repair shop. They solved the problem and even checked everything else on our boat trailer. We were back on the road to Northern Minnesota for a great vacation in the lake! Thank you Platts! This is why they have been in business for over 100 years!

My car died in the Dells and the authorities called Platt's. They towed me 20 miles to Mauston and demanded $250. I tried to explain to the driver that I was short on cash and had Amex, (which they don't take), and instead of listening to me he took off with my car back to the Dells leaving me and my 10 year old daughter stranded with none of our belongings or my daughters' meds.

The next day they demanded $350 before they would allow me to get any of our things. Don't use these people ever for anything! They are unprofessional, opportunistic and practice predatory business tactics. Read all the reviews dating back a decade. Don't be a victim. I wouldn't have used them except for the local police calling them. What a nightmare!

Had needed an emergency tow with my truck and 33' trailer. They were there quickly. Dealt with Marty on repairs the next day. Nice guy! Had me up and running in a few hours (no other cars in shop). Fair pricing.

From the time we called to the the time they sent a flatbed out, went to the shop, changed our tire was less than an hour. Our driver was extremely friendly, the staff was also super nice. The price was much less than I expected it would be. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who finds themselves in need.

Sadly, I totalled my Subaru last Thursday. While I was in the ER at St. Clare's in Baraboo, they were chosen by my insurance company to tow to Wisconsin Dells. By the time my boyfriend got to the hospital to pick me up they were long closed up. On the off chance that someone would answer, I went to the shop and called from the gate. Lo and behold Platt answered and directed me to an employee who could open the gate. He was there in five minutes and I was able to clear out the car, saving us a trip from Eau Claire the next day. Phenomenal Customer Service. Wonderful people.

Was a pleasure to get to know Mark. We called his shop in an emergency of a deflating tire due to a nail. He patched up the tire and filled it with air in a matter of minutes! It was a bang for your buck. (only $20) Will be coming back soon, 10/10 recommend.

DANGER! ATTENTION ATTENTION! Mark "Marty" is a gouger. 1 mile towing and its 450.00. He refuses to release the vehicle and is charging $50 a day! Insurance company tried picking our vehicle up 4 times and they refused to release it. They waited 2.5 weeks until the bill was over $1400 before they finally released it. If i could give negative stars i would!

Avoid this place at all cost and know as consumers you have rights. Don't let them tow your car at any cost! Also research your rights as auto owners before paying your bill here. They try to strong arm consumers and it's illegal. There's a legal action coming shortly! Be very aware!

They were great at getting my vehicle and replacing the alternator it in a timely manner. However on my trip home started hearing a noise, when stopped to see what was going on noticed there wasn't power steering fluid in the reservoir and coolant was low. I now have to replace my power steering pump because they didn't top off the fluids after replacing the reservoirs.

When I spoke to them they told me they didn't touch the reservoirs and that they went through the bottom to get to the alternator. So that means they would've had to lower the sub frame, remove the ac compressor then do an alignment when done which seems like alot to do instead of removing the reservoirs and putting them back. Also weird considering my oil was just changed a few weeks ago and I checked my fluids before going in the trip, have never had any leaks or problems with either.

They towed me 8 maybe 9 miles when I got stuck in the snow. They charged me $350.62. Tried to use my card but they said I could only pay in cash. Went to an atm. Gave them 400. Then they tell me to pay in exact cash. I go to the gas station buy a pack of gum just to make exact cash. I come back and we get into a heated discussion involving police.

I found myself filing a complaint to police involving the situation. They said "Nothing can be done. Sounds like they ripped you off". Bottom line, They robbed me of exact cash when they had a working credit card scanner and inconvenienced me and scarfed down several hours of my time and made me late for work. Never go here. Save your time and money, please.

I wouldn't give these guys a star. First of all I was told they could bring my equipment to Madison that evening it was about 8:30. When they get all hooked up they said they would bring it in the morning this frustrated me as we are working nights. I said ok that's fine how much is the two he told me $600 thought it was a bit high but did have insurance and they said they could fix it so I thought ok I'll do that.

When I spoke to my adjuster I told him I paid for the tow on my credit card he said ok they are showing it on the estimate also must be a mistake I said so I called Platt's and asked them they told me it was no mistake that I am being charged for two tows and started telling me all this stuff. I said don't order parts or do anything to my trailer as I don't feel comfortable with them at this point! I will be bringing them to small claims court and we will let a judge decide if it's valid because I really don't think it is

Had a big problem with RV brakes, I was far from home and they took me in and spent 5 hours on them without a appointment, cost a bit more but without their help I would have been SOL. Thanks guys

I went about a week ago because one of my tires pick up a nail everything went well it was fix in no time but when it was time to pay he told me is 20 dollars i ask him if card was accepted bud he say cash was better so i hand him 100 when he come back with my change he only gives me 70 back so i told him you say it was 20 than he say its 30, way to rub your customers i will never go back to this business ever again.

I went in the ditch by the Fern Del exit on hwy 12 north. And by in the ditch I mean 2 men could have pushed me out, but was in a hurry to get to work so I got a ride and called Platt's for help. I had to have it towed 12 miles to Christmas mountain. They charged me $422! Even if I was a tourist I'd think this was crazy but I'm a local and this is how this BS towing company treats locals! I WILL NEVER EVER EVER recommend these crooks to ANY of my clients! $422! That is insane!

I am a firm believer in good customer service breeding return customers. After my experience with Platt's, I will not ever be returning to them! They charged us $300 for a winching of 10 feet on our own property and then proceeded to be extremely rude and telling us "That's what it is". It was 20 minutes worth of work after showing up an hour after they told us they would!

Another company that recommended them(due to that company being 30 miles north while Platt's is only 6 miles), would've charged us a third of that. Had we know, we would have gone with them. We told them of our experience with Platt's and they said they were not going to be referring them any more customers. We asked what they would have done if we didn't have $300 and got the response that they would've taken our vehicle off our property and to their shop until we paid it.

They said it happens all the time! To me, this is not a company looking for loyal returning customers but a company that is out to rob its customer for every penny they can! Wisconsin Dells is a small town, but they are not the only mechanics in town! Seems like they are certainly the worst though!

If I could give this enis 0 stars I would. Go somewhere else. When called they said 15 min which turned into 45 which is not a big deal unless you're 5 min away on a 95 deg day. No personality or compassion when arrived ice cold and arrogant hooked up a jump pack and got lucky cuz the car started. Trouble guessed and said I had a dead battery and charged me 60$ for a jump. Turns out there was nothing wrong with my battery but an issue with the security lock out system. Don't troubleguess troubleshoot or shut up and say you don't know. Cost me 140$ for a new battery that I didn't even have to replace. I have family in the Dells they will all go somewhere else before calling these hacks.

I drive a large pickup truck and had it towed from near 94. When I called they assured me they could help me and sent a truck that took near an hour over schedule to arrive. They sent a dually pickup that was smaller than mine and proceeded to not tie down the wheels to the tow truck so when we went up a hill my truck literally fell off the towtruck.

The tow truck driver saw no problem with dropping my truck off his in park. They then proceeded to overcharge me and left me at a sketchy motel while they did a simple repair for days. I have no words for this, good luck if you go here

Friday night I hit a racoon a few miles outside the Dells on interstate 90. When we arrived at our property the radiator was leaking horrible. Saturday morning we start looking for auto repair places in phone books and asking our neighbors about shops they used. We decided to go to platts as it was nearby, not by a reccemondation. They took the car immediately.

It took a while to get done but for reason. As it was a Saturday afternoon and Sunday was father's day, and I have a 2016 the radiators aren't just at a NAPA in stock all the time. They had it done Monday before close at what I was a very reasonable price compared to what I thought it could be. Also a family owned!

1 Star because you can't hit 0 stars. If you want f-bombs dropped on you because called to ask the status of your tow, this is the company for you! Of course, if you would like someone to care about your vehicle, your situation, and your ability to plan. I'd call someone else. The guy that identified himself as Mark told be to "lay the f*** down and shut the f*** up and to call back at 9:00 am". Why?

Because 27 hours earlier Platt's was called to flat bed a car to a dealership in Madison. Throughout the day they kept saying it was en route to Madison, but there was no notification from the dealer or Platt's that it had arrived. I called at 10:30 pm to find out the status and "Mark" was either drunk or high based on the way he spoke. According to him, there was no one he could call on a Friday night to ask if out car had been delivered. It's Wisconsin Dells.how many people could work there? You'd think a single call would reach someone who knows if they drove a big flat bed to Madison and dropped of a car.maybe I am expecting too much.

The next day: I spoke with Mark who sounded more sober but still rude. The charged us $300.00 to flat bed our car 10 miles. When I told him I wanted him to park the car outside and lock the key in it so that another tow company could pick it up, he hung up. We arrived at Platt's WITH a police officer to ensure that we could get our property back.

Mark is the owner. If you really think a guy like that should make a cent off of people after he treats them like crap, use them. If you think they should be thankful for your business, call someone else.

I went on a little trip for the day to wisconsin dells to see a friend and my car had broke down, so I call platts to look at it on labor day. They came and looked at it said it was a timing chain and they wouldn't get to it till tomorrow, I said ok and they came and got it. I called and stopped later n they said call Tuesday so I did and they told me I don't know what was wrong we replaced a few sensors as I never got a call asking if it were ok to fix it they just went ahead and did it anyways. all in all my car never got fixed and had to tow in to lacrosse and I had to pay 200 dollars as well to get my car back. what a great business, NOT GOODS BUSINESS PEOPLE. whatever you do DON'T go there. oh and my car now has mysterions scratched thanks platts

My wife and I came to Wisconsin Dells to take the boat tour of the Upper Dells. We discovered that we had a flat tire in our new car (less than 800 miles) when we pulled into the parking lot. The attendant suggested Platt's Garage to repair the flat. They were called and plugged the tire and made a repair in very good time. The cost was $60 which I paid for in cash. However, I asked Ron IF I could return to the garage AFTER the boat tour and provide my credit card, get my cash returned, and receive a receipt.

I was told that would be okay as I hustled off to the boat dock to catch the tour. Made it in time and was very pleased with the transaction made - Ron and Ryan did a superb job of coming to the parking lot and fixing my flat. However, upon the completion of the boat tour and locating Platt's Garage, we waited an inordinate amount of time in the office for anyone to arrive. Finally, a gentleman? from the back came whose name I believe was Marty. Saying that he was rude would be extremely kind.

At first he refused to even consider exchanging the cash for the credit card. After a heated discussion, he informed me that he would do so ONLY after finishing his current job. He would finish that in "a couple of hours". My wife and I were on our way home to Chicago and could ill afford to wait that amount of time. There was no sign of either Ron or Ryan at the garage.

I left the garage without my cash and without a receipt. The receipt would have been used to seek reimbursement from my car dealership. The bottom line is that the service provided to my vehicle was exemplary; the customer service was non-existent. Don't waste your time.

Do not use for any heavy duty road service they will only rip you off!
